They won't do anything to make the llav useful. It will become another useless vehicle like the scout lav, all forms of dropships, and enforcers tanks.
It'd be like if only one or two weapons were viable for infantry.... Oh wait that is exactly the case.

Do you really think CCP will set things up so that you roadkill one merc and suddenly your LAV or LLAV will explode?
I'm betting it will be a little/minor damage and a slight reduction in speed if all goes well. So that running people over will become a split second risk/reward decision instead of an automatic HELL YEAH! |

Have you tried using the thing before? Unless the rebalance pass does something to address how extremely unintuitive the infantry repair module is in an actual battle then you'll still never see the thing used. |

to be fair, repping infantry with this thing is a royal pita, vehicle's, not so bad, but no wp's (repping shields), you could go the whole match using it for its intended purpose, yet get no points
theres always time to nerf the hell outa weapons, but simple fixes just get overlooked for months upon months upon months

uprising 1.3-1.4 suit balancing armor vs shield tank reworking. maybe a collision nerf 1.4-1.7 ccp is reworking vehicles that includes giving us a greatly requested vehicle lock. this game is a work in progress and ccp can be a bit slow if you cant hack it while its being tweaked then gtfo. vehicles have been in the trashcan for over a year the horizon on which they are balanced is in sight stop crying. and if you cant stop crying you should stop playing dust until its finished and deal with having less sp than everyone who stuck with it |

I think for the LLAV, it should maybe have a healing AOE of a timer, so it can be driven close to the intended targets without that horrible lock on.
For Vehicle healing the lock on needs to be much simpler also, for tank healing tanks it aint that bad, but drop ships, and there current state, its awful. |

all they really need to do is decrease the lock on time for the curren LLAV infantry repair tools and add a WP reward for them. Those things are rediculous, make the person you are repairing invincible.
They are also great for repairing the tanks on the field as well, with a good LLAV a tanker can use a lesser repair module and focus more on offense and using call outs for reps when needed.
The current system of LLAV murder taxi makes pub matched a joke, usually each side has 2-3 of them just driving in circles collecting easy kills because they have the best vehicle tank in the game with almost the same HP count (if you include their amazing passive resistances) as actual tanks, while moving at over 80 meters a second. |

Why do we play this game? I've put this idea out here quite a few times. Why doesn't CCP rework the LLAV rep tool to be an AOE rep tool instead of this "hey stand still for 3-5 secs and i'll see if i can keep this square on you and THEN !! i can rep you" winky wanky rep tool it got. Changing it to work with an AOE effect will basically just mean that it'll be a very tanky triage nanohive on wheels.

Basically, instead of targetting a single individual, you'd be passively repping as many allies as could fit within the AoE. I only see this as an option if they split the repair rate (hp/s) between every player in range.
For example (using made-up numbers for illustration purposes):
Single recipient @ 60hp/s, 2 players @ 30hp/s, 3 @ 20hp/s, 4 @ 15hp/s, etc., etc.
While I like the idea in principle, I think that providing full rep rate to everyone in the radius, with zero effort required, might be just a little OP. |

It's much more effecient to just jump out of the car and shoot the enemy, or physically block the bullets so your ally can regenerate his shields (which doesn't require a logistics lav).

Yeah very true i usually don't include numbers into my ideas as it's usually those that define whether it's OP or not. Though you gotta remember you won't be able to rep through walls (like you won't get ammo standing inside the bubble of a nanohive but on the wrong side of a wall) So yeah maybe if it got something like 100hp/s and a radius of 30 meter that would then get split out to how many are inside the rep radius. It's a lot but ok look at how much damage an AR does That's actually a really really nice idea

It's sad that so many players believe the main function of a LAV is to run people over. Running people over should be the last thing LAV drivers focus on.
Look, even if they nerf the collision damage to make running people over nearly impossible, you still have a LAV that is almost invincible from all but prolonged and intense AV. Which means driving into a hot-zone, whether to drop people off or to reach a heavily guarded objective, is still a very useful aspect of the vehicle.
It just amazes me how tanked some of these LAV's are, where taking 3 lai dai nades barely scratches the shields, or even taking 3 assault forge hits and the shields drop only a miniscule amount. Not sure if this has to do with some kind of module for damage resistance or not, but it is ridiculous.
IMO, vehicles should be like suits, you have a certain set HP. So if your LLAV/tank has 4000 shields and 1000 armor, that means after 3 hits from a assault forge (roughly 1600 damage), you will only have about 200 HP left. These modules that can make you guys nearly invincible once turned on, has got to go. |

That would be the coolest thing. Most people that hop in my LAVs/LLAVs don't get in the turret and of those that do fewer still actually manage to kill anything. I'd fit a repping turret no matter the cost. Words can not express how much I, as one of those players that is drawn to support, love that idea.
