I had made a thread about Pilot`s needing ISK due to the constant decrease of wallets, (thread name: Pilot`s need ISK CCP). I saw a 3rd pilot asking for ISK in a pub match and I myself was given 12 mill ISK that kept me from bankruptcy, since Uprising I have spent 300 mill ISK.
my average cost per battle is -775k, I run CRU, triage and assault. my average KDR is 8/1 per battle, good battle 32 kills, 19 assists 0 deaths, bad battle 3/3 2 assists. CRU deployments range from 6-56 (was pooping mercs 1 time :D) and triage I heal mostly Gallante but on average heal them fully 4 times per battle when in a squad with a tanker (which is often). I`ve been flying since late Chromosome and I`m a good pilot. I can`t be alone here and obviously not since many threads and pub matches posts say so. Noob pilots can`t even last a few battles because of the cost of learning to pilot cost as much as my top tier vehicles per battle.
has CCP / CPM considered a way or have already planned a way to help pilots get on their feet when a balance to DS arrive? |

CPM is pushing for an HP boost for DS band aid fix to hold until 1.5 changes, CCP or CPM will inform you soon as that gets greenlit. |

As for 1.4 they're in the final stages of development testing so lots of cramming to do before they start setting internally what is expected to be in stone.
thanks Iron, I assume that is temporal from your wording and considering the meta we are using its good its not permanent since it would have to be changed then when more vehicle tech arrives. |

Correct 1.5 is going to be fairly significant changes to vehicles overall in terms of controls, purpose, and role on the battlefield and how they interact with infantry and vehicles on both their own side and hostiles. It would not surprise me if some players quit (the role or more) vehicles when 1.5 hits because of the changes. However the plans for 1.5 vehicles is far too early to know exactly what is going on but I been prodding CCP Wolfman to give you guys a quick preview before work for 1.5 vehicles starts up too much and gets beyond the point of player feedback.
1.4 is primarily infantry focused and so far from what I am seeing there are some good things in that patch so far and that is in context of alterations to current systems. |

I take the bolded part is because to pull their weight they would need to have team support influence? well that actually makes me really happy since its the role, the better pilots know that KDR is how to slow bankruptcy and have fun, not so good pilots specced in for the KDR and that's like speccing into Caldari logi suits for an assault role. |

New controls can mean a number of things from not just currently driving and pointing the turrets (though small turrets can need an improvement) or how locking onto another target works as a vehicle. Who knows. maybe more controls schemes.
However like I said cross your fingers and hope they do more right than wrong this go around.
As for pilot suits nothing on radar, but they're easily a copy paste change properties difference away from the light frames. |

Best way to play DUST is to not :/ I've steadily been losing faith in the game, with periodic bouts of hope being forced on me, but the whole Flaylock debacle is getting damn near close to the straw that breaks this camels back. And that's after my horrific experience with dropships at the start of Uprising, partly my stupidity and eagerness mixed with a healthy part of CCPs complete incompetence in regards to balance. We all saw the flaylock for a brief moment before Uprising even launched, and most of us knew it would get out of hand, quickly. CPP ******* DESIGNED the weapon, programmed it, put it in the ******* game...and they were SURPRISED!?!?! What does that say?
QFT.
Seriously, it's like CCP does something extremely stupid every day, I don't understand how the people who bring these ideas in are still employed.
Oh and, game is beta CCP, go and put a tag on the DUST 514 logo saying beta and be done with it.
@Ironwolf, your comment worries me greatly, bandaid is good, but the idea a lot of vehicle players will quit sounds bad and flawed. CCP needs to post what they've got before they lock the content for release, 1.5 needs to be reviewed by the playerbase, not just people testing for CCP that just seem to say "Yes it's great" when in reality it's not. I mean, you **** it up so bad that even I want to quit? ****, there will be no website on the internet that doesn't tell you how **** the game is.

The thing is no matter what you change in a game will cause people to quit even though it's considered a massive win by the majority.
I have been in eve and dust 514 long enough to see the trend on both ends and that you cannot simply please everyone with changes for the better as some will view those changes as for the worst.
For example I would like to see dropships have a much lower barrier to entry in its use because as they stand as of right now they're the most difficult of any platform (weapons included) to operate for an non-existent reward ceiling. Older dropship controls rewarded the hell out of ace pilots with the sense of battlefield control. However I have venerated dropship pilots who would love to hang onto a barrel roll that barely does anything to save their dropship to a forge gun or swarm launch or hell a shotgun. All this started because CCP decided they wanted to get rid of drop ship crushing and Dropships have NEVER remotely never gotten close to recovering from the control nerf, ever. |

The only thing that could make pilots quit is if they nerf our vehicles or leave balance as it stands or not let us effectively use our purchases solo.
That's what i personally see coming based on your comment. A hav requiring 3 people to be effective at all. Will never see use in competitive matches and is a hard sell in pub matches. |

2x HP? for the tech we use now? no. no guns? ADS are meant to be gunships, the side guns are used for defense of the deployment zone and beyond that there's nothing wrong with them. they deserve SP for a lot more then that.
@IWS so turret mechanics being updated? well guess that makes sense, they are doing the same with the guns and turrets are to much different, I assume the pilots gun on an ADS is different all things considered though so that might fall into place more with DS mechanics fix. |

I find it effective, btw
Gallante pilot drop suit: +1% to armor and shield efficiency per lv
Minimatar Pilot drop suit: +2% of turret damage per lv
Pilot role bonus: +10% to vehicle module recharge rate per lv.
the role bonus is OP atm and will need to be fixed, before some 1 complains DS are UP take into mind Gallante tanks and heavy armor reppers with this suit. |

And then the dropship went 80-0. XD I do and don't miss the old missiles. I just wish CCP hadn't taken the sledgehammer to them and nerfed all three aspects of the small missile turrets. If they had just left just one (Range, Splash Radius, or Splash Damage), small missile turrets would be in a far better position and a very viable small turret. All three was way too much, especially with the passenger firing lag that CCP just can't seem to figure out.
Also Iron Wolf, if possible, could you please bring up the bug about Small Rail Turrets not having full efficiency against Vehicles? It's been around for a long while, but it's gone mostly unnoticed. I hate for it to get missed during the balance pass in 1.5. |

The assault variant should not have a built in MCRU, it would be much better to have an afterburner built in for increasing speed without reducing eHP.
