BF3 is now free to all with PSN+.
Here is a game i just finished. My squad (Alpha) controlled the whole thing the entire time. http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/battlereport/show/4/100939885/468299510/
This is the whole reason why DUST should be balanced off those who are actually good at the game. |

Haha, I have to agree, I downloaded BF3 as part of the PSN+ subscription. Never played any BF games before and I must say it is very confusing compared to Dust. It is deffinitely not noob friendly jumping into multiplayer from the start and I have stopped playing it again to go back to Dust. I remember the beginning of Dust being much easier.

Two different styles of FPS. Dust you can run around with your head cut off and do decent with all the scrubs around and it being a tracker shooter. You can escape a lot of encounters.
BF3 is a twitch shooter - meaning if your enemy sees you your basically dead if you didn't see them first. You can't run out in the open and you have to consider moving slowly more often then quickly.

I dont really see them as being that different.

Yes, this part got me killed plenty of times until I started to move forward slowly, but I am still killed quickly, even when shooting at a hostile, he turns around and take one shot at me and I am dead. I ended up only running from letter to letter to gain points by recapturing the letters. It is not all bad but there is no tuturials or help text as in Dust on how it works when starting a multiplayer game. |

The gameplay modes are essentially the same. Both feature vehicles with different roles including aircraft.
Both feature builds that tailor to certain modes of game play whether its supporting or attacking.
Explain to me what is so different between the two.

I would think there is with campaign mode, I did not download it for the singleplayer but for the multiplayer. Allot of peoble here in the forums had praised it fors its balance in multiplayer. I wanted to give it a try and I prefer Dust. |

And i debunked it...[/quote] No - you just mentioned the similarities of weapons, vehicles, objectives. You didn't touch upon that in BF3 one swipe of your gun blazing = 3 people dead. Try that in dust and you'll just spread out damage and ultimately do nothing.
I don't see why you can't comprehend the difference between Twitch and Tracker - so I'm just going to stop replying. |

It not my comprehension thats the problem. Its when someone makes up a term for something and uses it to prove its different when its not.
Both require you to aim and track enemies across you screen to kill them. You cant just flip you reticule all over the place and expect win in either games. The USAS + Frags was nerfd a long time ago.

I lose out to MGs spamming full auto, with the guy standing with a bipod being useless, when I'm using a semi auto sniper or an AR on semi auto.
DICE doesn't know what balance is. It's Call of Duty: Vehicle Edition. If they wanted to make it stand apart, you wouldn't be bunny hopping all over the place as if you really are playing Call of Duty. It would be more slow paced, moving cover to cover, laying down suppressive fire, instead of being able to beat out someone playing cautiously with an edge, if you're using a pistol.
Want a good example? They nerfed the IR scope to hell because all the Call of Duty campers were complaining they couldn't hide in the grass because it exposed them. It works perfectly well in the campaign/coop. |

I purchased (and this was my first BF game ever) Battlefield 3: Premium Edition literally two weeks ago.
It's way easier to do well, even as a noob. Kills aren't hard to get since everything is pretty level unless your up against a team filled with clan-mates. Now where have I seen that before I wonder?
Certainly not Dust since that opposing team of super god-tier pro players have more health and deal more damage than you do.
Edit: Oh, and I really dig the Russian starting AR. Like, no recoil.

FAMAS cant compete with AN94 at range, thats the whole reason every weapon in BF3 have specialties, dont just talk crap. If you give a pro a FAMAS and a noob an AN94 at 100m the noob will still most likely win. |

Funny, I thought when I first started dust (open beta) it was much harder then bf3 being a vet coming from that game.
I guess you just have to get used to how the game plays nd before you know it, your getting positive outcomes at the game. |
