After all this time, the server is dead as *****. All this is because CCP has completely failed to make a game for Playstation users. Instead they made a dudebros game for the Eve antisocial type who do anything to win "spying and sabotage is so meta crowd." And they pushed out the playstation FPS players. The keyboard is the first clue.
Why is PC messed up? That crowd. Why are game numbers down? That crowd. "Can I have your stuff?" Why didn't they fix AFK farming? That crowd. Why exploiters aren't banned? That crowd. Why no SP reset on game launch day? That crowd.
What do I think has gone wrong? Very simple. They listened to that crowd.
The problems with PC are the same issues as pub stomping, flavour of the week weapons use and MCC AFK farming. A spoiled brat self entitled anti-social EVE player playerbase that CCP doesn't have the balls to smack down for fear of reprisals in EVE.
MCC AFK farmers should have been banned and or stripped of SP starting from day 1. Proper matchmaking via gear restriction tiers implemented so K/D farmers had to fight for it. On 5/14 and end of beta testing all SP should have been reset. Anyone caught using exploits banned.
Why didn't this happen?
Because there wouldn't have been any o'time Eve players left. Hilarious, because instead you would have had your market of dudebros playing their FPS... you know... that MASSIVE market you were trying to break into. Whoops
your ignorance and bigotry are showing sir. I don't disagree with most of your post but this is more then just an EVE player problem I've heard and seen the same **** from every one.
you are only limiting the reach of, frankly, your very relevant post, by being an ignorant biggot. CCP will be less likely to listen, abusers of every type will use this to drive public opinion against you, so you seem like a fringe nut job.
oh despite what you hear EVE is by far the MOST social MMO out there, trust me you don't play eve unless you like dealing with people. |

Yeah I think you've got far more in common with a cult than a community, one thing i've noticed despite a lot of TSOLE being good fellas, they treat everyone that has the gaul to leave the cult like lepers or traitors, you in particular like to put on this big show of being the reasonable speech giving dear leader, and yet I heard you completely flipped your lid when bloodoil left to join internal error.
I'd congratulate you on keeping TSOLE together this long, but I think your success has more to do with the lack of alternatives than actual good leadership.
I'll take the cult thing as a compliment. Cult's are born to ideals, and though some are born to people as well.. I don't think I personally am that popular. TSOLE is built around the idea of making newer players welcomed to our community. Bettering their DUST 514 experience, and allowing as many people to experience the game as much as possible.
Yes, I flipped my lid a bit when bloodoil left. I wont deny it. But it's not that he left that caused me concern, it's that he left the way he did. Similar in fashion to multiple others. I let how they left be known to the membership, and they decide how to treat them. I don't keep the reasons they left, or their communications (or mine) secret. The same could be said of yourself leaving, or a few others I would mention.
As to the lack of alternatives, there are new Australian and New Zealand Corporations opening up even as I speak, and even the Americans and Europeans in the corp aren't inclined to leave en masse, despite our timezones being less than ideal. And failing that, there is always the option of creating your own corporation. So lack of alternatives fails to be a compelling argument for TSOLE's success.
Personally, I put TSOLE's success firmly at the feet of it's entire membership. Officers, Noncoms, Soldiers, and even new recruits. In most cases, they conduct themselves well, don't flame, forum troll (much), or get overly aggressive against any people. People from other corps respect us, and it's not due solely to the leadership, its the membership that presents the true face of a corp.
TSOLE was built around the ideal that we make DUST better, give new guys a chance, and perseverance. None of which we have disappointed on, and in my members I couldn't be prouder.
You say I like to make speeches, well I do. I have a lot to say about my guys, who can lose 17 districts over the course of a week due to technical difficulties in PC, and STILL stay together. Who can go from the heights, to the depths, and still laugh about it. Have a once sizeable corp (not so much any more) wallet stolen, and guys kicked... and still reform and push on stronger.
If we present a united front, it's because in most respects, we have the same visions. I don't 'gag order' my guys and I encourage ones who have issues with any member of the leadership to come forward. Loyalty does not a cult make. Loyalty is the product of good friends, teams, and an open attitude. |

Because there wouldn't have been any o'time Eve players left. Hilarious, because instead you would have had your market of dudebros playing their FPS... you know... that MASSIVE market you were trying to break into. Whoops Since I'm nice, I'll breakdown your whining into some key points to illustrate your idiocy so it's apparent to anyone as willfully ignorant as you: 1. It's CCP. Read it with me C. C. P. Not CPP.
2. Market of a billion people? Did you pull that number out of your ass or do you have any statistical evidence to show? And no, quoting a random number on some webpage is not 'proof'
3. Protostomp? Exploiting tactics? Using OP weapons? Can you describe exactly what happened or are you just going to throw out random accusations like that and claim that it 'killed the market'?
4. CCP made a game, it's a PS3 exclusive. And you say it's not made for PS3 users? The incidental keyboard and mouse support means a greater audience and superior controls. In case you didn't know, the 'anti-social' EVE players generally do not tend to exhibit childish behaviour like your ranting, and most rants similar to such as your on the EVE forums tend to come from the instant gratification crowd (i.e. console kiddies and other associated stereotypes).
5. Blaming 'that crowd' for everything in the game? No reasoning behind it? Well done, old chap! You know why we have cancers and all sorts of incurable diseases these days? Because of you. You know why millions of children go hungry everyday? Because of you. You know the economic crisis in 2008-2009? Yep, that was because of you too. In fact, using your method of argument, we can all attribute every single problem the world faces to dipshits like you.
6. "A spoiled brat self entitled anti-social EVE player playerbase that CCP doesn't have the balls to smack down for fear of reprisals in EVE." says the person with the self-entitled, self righteousness issues typing out extremely anti-social threads on the forums. IRONY MUCH SON?
7. Everything else, is so much fail on your parents part for giving birth to you and failing to educate you in realities of the modern world, that I will not deign to address them, since my IQ has dropped by about 100 points trying to respond at your level.
To paraphrase someone I read on the forums, Take a bowl of cement mix with cereal, add some milk to it and eat it. Maybe you'll harden the **** up then. |

So sub-par players can compete with fps from the playstation nation. Dedicated no lifers (eve players) who can proto stomp because they have the time to afk and cap on a weekly basis on multiple accounts. We psn players have played many many shooters, this is all evetards got, so they stick to their guns. Ps4 and planetside cant come any quicker for me.
More time envested the easier mode it becomes. GB2PS2 oh wait you don't have the PS4 yet not can you afford a PC since your mommy told you, "Son, you get a PS3 or a PC, which one do you want?" and you went with PS3.
EVE players stomping? I thought you said they were bad at FPS games? Make up your mind.
So it's only the EVE players with no life that can grind out SP all day, and all PS3 only players are completely not-geeks who drive ferraris to the grocery store and have million dollar a year jobs, or they don't have to work cos they're cool like that.
RIGHT????? RIGHT??????????????????
Since you 'PSN players' have some many shooters, go play them then. Why do you come here to ***** about how life is so unfair for you? |

While many of your points are things CCP really should have addressed, you really can't blame the fact they haven't been on any of the playerbase. All of these problems were reported at least 6 months ago and have been reported and complained about repeatedly ever since. I've never seen anyone seriously trying to say CCP shouldn't fix there issues, so saying they've been listening to some select crowd that wants to keep all the bad stuff is just foolish. |

no offense to the Asian servers
but fk them
Ive been stomped by Nyain Chan PLENTY of times
i think its fair we do the same to them
(but in all honesty i go there in friken std gear and still own the match using a scout suit swam launcher and scrambler pistol....)
It's the down side of having a single server for all the players but it is also what will bring this game to glory
people will quit saying how terrible the game is people will review it listening to vets of the game
the game will get solid scores people will think (oh this game is hard ?)

Thought I would reply in this stupid thread because the op doesn't know how to make a thread.
If you are going to title it "asian servers" then talk about the server not the game as a whole. Unless of course you are actually that stupid to think CCP is listening to 1 corp in asia? (I hope you do because that would make this thread even worse)
after all the idiots saying "IRC has the influence" then "the CPM has the influence" you are now trying to make it out like a low count asian server has influence?
when you go into details about your reasoning, you don't even make sense "that crowd"? that's a bit of a sweeping statement if I've seen one.
Also why the hell would CCP change the game to favour people who don't have enough SP to get a proto suit? That's stupid. There are people in the game now with 20 million SP, CCP have given the noobies a closed game playlist (the noob playlist) so they are hidden from the more experienced yet we have you QQ'ing crap threads like this.
Get over yourself, are you trying to rally troops for a cause? (that movie) Independence day had a better speech than this. |

No I'm not a lolEVE player. I just wanna shoot people, and when that doesn't feel fun anymore, people will leave. I have to disagree with you here Lance. While it's true that some peeps are still in the game because they can AFK, it's also true that AFK teammates are a contributing factor to poor new player experience. I don't blame the AFKers though, i blame CCP's pathologically destructive passive in-match skillpoint mechanic. Nothing will improve until it is gone and replaced with something that rewards only effort on the battlefield.
They afk for the active SP not the passive. Active SP is the problem because it isn't active if we get it for showing up and doing nothing. Passive SP is not the problem, if passive sp is what they want then all they have to do is not log on. They want free active SP from being in battle. |

I play everyday as well, if servers were healthy they wouldn't have merged ambush and OMS. I stay away from skirmish and domination because of the AFKers. Don't lump all EVE players into one group.
I don't care if this game takes resources from EVE, EVE has grown stale for so many of us. Many people are just farming with multiple accounts or are on standby while playing another game. This games success has the potential of making EVE more appealing to more people, and making interacting in New Eden a much broader experience. I come from EVE, though for months I was playing this game a lot more. I still throw my cash at this game to buy pointless BPOs because I so badly want this game to succeed and I'll pay for it to happen.
Being someone who bought a PS3 just to play this game, I'm not ready to watch it fall, New Eden needs this more than it realizes. |

I want this game to succeed more than most for my own reasons. I spent 320 million ISK and was ready so that I could pounce on 4 districts so that smaller corps could band together and actually play some rounds of PC. I made videos of exploits upon request to illustrate something that really needed fixing, made forum posts with map coords when I found game and map glitches, taught endless people how to setup their mics and about the overly complex skill point system, thought up game mode and given feedback and suggestions and etc etc etc. All the while I've watched and read posts by the devs and specific people high fiving each other over ideas that push away the intended crowd the game was conceived for... read that as not EVE players.
Let me put it another way.
Imagine it not as a video game, but a beer hockey league. People play for the fun of it, not for money or fame (because there is none) but because they like the game, a good challenge and social teamplay. 16 or 17 guys are on a team, and 3 of them decide that the ice isn't up to their standards, so instead of playing their position during the game they skate around in circles to practice their skating ability. When asked why they are ruining the game, the reply is that the ice isn't up to snuff and this is the only way to practice for next season when the ice is better. For some reason the referee is completely blind to the offsides so he rest of the guys bring their complaints to the coach who replies, but if we kick them off the team, we'll be shorthanded.
For **** sakes.
Should we get into the mentality of those who spy and sabotage and cheat a sports beer league? It is all about anti-social behaviour, and those who would allow something like to continue fall under the same category. Anti social for their inability to understand the complaints. Time and again this has been stated by EVE players and CCP itself that this is legit stuff in "New Eden" And this is what I've gone by when I put the onus on them.
This analogy can be used for stacked teams, better equipment etc. It should never be allowed or encouraged. The refs, the coaches, the GMs and those running the league all need a swift kick in the behind if they don't want the whole thing to collapse. There are people like this everywhere, it is their job to make the rules and enforce them so this doesn't happen, and kick the people out who ruin it for the rest of us.
The real players are quitting while some skate in circles. I have two last ditch efforts. One is this rude as hell OP forum post, the other a game mode suggestion that I'd play that would be very difficult for people to ruin.

So your address to 'anti-social behaviour' is to be anti-social yourself? Explains a lot. |
