PS3 is a pita to code for yes, but you can pull it off, plenty of games that show that. I would say the choice of engine was bad, unreal engine 3 is known to require heavy modifications to work well on a PS3.
Selecting the right piece of equipment is still fairly inconsistent for the most part, its usually 2-3 attempts to pull out the right piece of equipment when you have 3-4 on that wheel.
Active modules on a tank are even worse cause you can inadvertently turn them off trying to select the right one! |

That just sounds like your bad coordination. I don't have a problem with the weapon wheel. |

Its too bad hackers are such a problem on PC...
I wonder if a combination of dedicated servers, moderation, and account creation fees could keep hacking in check. Hacking can be dealt with. Planetside 2 had monstrous hacking problems in early days but that was because the devs didn't apply any effort in dealing with it. Once they got their act together hacking dried up and almost completely disappeared. Its not an unsolvable problem. How would you feel if I told you that I was on skype with a clan of PS2 hackers right now? I know there's hacking, sure, will always be in any game, its hard to fully stamp out client side aimbots and such. But its not rampant uncontrolled lunacy like it used to be, you can put a stop to 80-90% of you wish.
It only takes one person to reach the top, therefore it only takes one person to compromise the integrity of a game. |

I'm not a PC gamer myself, but if it was brought to the PC, I wouldn't complain. However I hope CCP keeps working on Dust. What would be great is if CCP developed a PS4 version. |

I don't think moving Dust to the PC is the answer.Sadly,I don't think there is an answer at this point, outside of full PS4 development, and ditching the PS3 once it's up to speed on PS4.No need to waste resources on trying to have cross play between PS3 and PS4 once it's optimized for next gen consoles.

The games scope is too big to be done on PC. It would be hacked within hours.
Controls are not the the issue -- have KB/M. Graphics are kind of an issue, but we have PS4 client coming to fix that.
PC offers nothing aside from hacker problems. Actually, I'm kind of with you on this one.
For all people like to talk about Jtaggers on consoles, I think I've seen one of those to every TEN aimbotters I see in PC shooters.
Hell, someone made a bot for MWO that will sneak around the enemy to get back to their based and cap it. It even takes care of joining the matches so you can just leave it to afk farm. |

If DUST were to ditch the PS3 and go PC I would be left unable to play. I don't make enough money to even entertain the notion of getting a gaming rig. |

PC offers nothing aside from hacker problems. Agreed, and not to mention all the Planetside gamers flaming the local chat... |

Dust was meant to get console players to get into the EVE universe. Not so EVE players could have a shooter to play in-universe. Dust is supposed to draw people into EVE, not the other way around.
How's that going to happen if CCP ditches consoles and goes to PC? Regardless of their original intentions ... It's clear this game is not doing well on the PS3. What makes you think it will do well on PC when there are already TONS of F2P's on PC. If CCP wanted a game that only added to a game on a PC they would've launched it on the PC. Therefore, every EVE Online fan would probably say "WTF IS THIS?!" and initially reject the game and stay on EVE Online. CCP knows what there doing... |
