1.3 patch notes... The only thing other than Cal Logi, Flaylock and Fused nades nerf that I found exciting was "smoothed out player movement in the distance", that was really annoying.
Other than that, I'm surprised by how tiny this patch is. Is this really all CCP did in a month? |

I recall somewhere saying that this was going to be a relatively small update due to them switching to more frequent updates, and the low content this update was to help with the transition. |

1.3 was the second part of the dry run on the monthly patching model stress testing the QA process mostly. It contained the balance changes mentioned and some improvements that did not complement 1.2.
As I have been saying, 1.3 is small. 1.4 on the other hand if it shapes up to what the early guessing goes is much more significant. |

1.4 is better versed and more used to the new schedule, also things that been on the stove are about to get done cooking or got done shortly after 1.3 code lock. This is provided QA doesn't gut them out. Also code lock isn't in yet so CPM will have some voicing into it. |

I.E 1.3 small, 1.4 big, 1.5 small, 1.6 big? What's the point of monthly releases then? Most of the stuff in 1.3 sounds like stuff you put into hot fixes more than anything. |

Seriously, OP? You weren't paying attention this whole month? I knew for the past couple of weeks that 1.3 was going to be this small just by reading the dev blogs and various dev posts here in the forums. That and following Iron Wolf and Hans.
If you were expecting more, than you need to pay more attention. |

If you were expecting more, than you need to pay more attention. Dude, I am on IRC all the time, I KNEW this update is going to be small, but I didn't expect it to be THAT small. This stuff is the kind of stuff you would find in hotfixes more than anything. |

Big Buff for the Red-line snipers ... now they can go deeper into the red-line and see all the way across the map...
Also big buff to the LLAV's... no they are even harder to kill.
-Contact grenades: -Lowered ammo count to 1 -Homogenised PG/CPU -Homogenised blast damage and radius
But hey!! is all good..We have ;
-Added shadow-casting on the first person hands and weapon
And a bunch of fixes to bugs that most people don't even know they exist.
So instead of fixing problems ... you creating new ones CCP? |

Whats the point? to fix glaring issues in updates sooner, instead of waiting for big updates every 3 months while bugs and glitches continue to drag down. this way they can patch outstanding issues sooner so when a patch drops if something is F'ed up they can fix it withing the month in most cases instead of having to wait another 3 months to fix it. |

What I really want is more corridor locations with some attrition combat, but I think I might start using the uplinks indoors

Cept that a hotfix is very limited to the things they can fix. Hot fixes are like changing the tire, refilling the gas tank, changing the oil, going to the car wash. Code Fixes are like trying to figure out what is causing that clanking noise in the engine, taking the engine apart, shaving the heads down and reboring the piston chambers and putting it back together. The later being very costly to deploy. |

They nerfing one of the AV weapons (Contact grenades), they haven't buff what suppose to be the most effective AV weapon against LLAV's ( Plasma Cannon )...And the Swarm Launcher its useless against them. So now LLAV's can just run around with nothing to worry about.
One month of Impossible to kill LLAV's.... looks like fun. |

Any changes to the client data have to go through sony QA, so there is a delay in before patches are done dev side to when they get through sony QA for the client side, how long is that delay? unknown at this time, but it seems sony QA is a bit of a bottleneck for CCP.
sony may be checking the entire code of the new build but they have always been pretty murky on what exactly sony QA does. |

It's all fixes... but that's sort of what CCP needs to do. Would be stupid to add new content to a broken game, but at the same time CCP is wayyyyyyyyyy behind on giving us new content. Overall it's the same game just little things being added and tweaked. |
