Yes another CaLogi QQ thread. Yes I know there are a ton of threads like this already. No I don't care.
CCP Logibro wrote:Just a small update. It seems we were missing the new CPU and PG values for all the tiers of the Caldari and Amarr Logistics suits. The Dev Blog now has all the values, and I've posted them below
Bumped up Amarr Logistics PG: 3 at STD (up to 36 from 33), 4 at ADV (up to 50 from 46) and 6 at PRO (up to 72 from 66)
Lower Caldari Logistics CPU: 20 at STD (down to 175 from 195), 28 at ADV (down to 245 from 273) and 40 at PRO (down to 350 from 390)
So before we thought it was 20 CPU and were hoping it might just apply to the standard suit. Now it's 40 CPU. That's 40 base CPU, meaning if you have 5/5 in Electronics, it's another 10 CPU and if you used CPU-increasing modules, it's even more.
Oh well.

This is what happens when the squeaky wheel gets the kick. They're not even done yet either. If you're a logistics class of any race, you better skill into a sidearm just to be on the safe side. |

Cmon man im Amarr and they would give me a sidearm to go with my light weapon which is the defining characteristic of my suit at all levels now. Then steal my light weapon in the future and give me a stick and some pepper spray lmao. Sure man |

The suit's main use was full extenders and uplinks. This was incredibly CPU-heavy, especially the uplinks.
The emphasis on shields means, with the lower CPU availability, you're forced to use equipment such as repair tools (Six Kin Triage Repair Tool: 48 CPU) as opposed to uplinks (All prototype variants of uplinks have equal or higher CPU costs compared to that repair tool).
Furthermore, stacking extenders to MAXIMISE THAT BASE SHIELD AMOUNT of 180HP (WHICH HASN'T BEEN NERFED) is now impossible.
What does that mean? You need a less CPU-intensive module that compensates. Oh wait, you have a LOW-POWERED MODULE for shields which is a blessing compared to armour users who have no such module which USES LESS CPU and scales VERY effectively with your new racial suit bonus.

It may or may not be a nerf too far.
Time will tell. The main difference to my fittings will be that I'll carry less team supporting equipment (nanohives and drop uplinks are demons for CPU), and concentrate on staying combat effective. |

The changes are actially bigger when we introduce the skill tree.
Dropsuit Core Upgrades @ Level 5 = 5% Dropsuit Electronics/Engineering @ Level 5 = 25% Multiplier: (1.05)*(1.25)= 1.3125 ~31.25%
Lower Caldari Logistics CPU 20 at STD (down to 175 from 195) = -26.25 ~ -26 28 at ADV (down to 245 from 273) = -36.75 ~ -37 40 at PRO (down to 350 from 390) = -52.5 ~ -53
Bumped up Amarr Logistics PG 3 at STD (up to 36 from 33) = +3.93 ~ +4 4 at ADV (up to 50 from 46) = +5.25 ~ +5 6 at PRO (up to 72 from 66) = +7.87 ~ +8

So for anyone celebrating that CCP used a nerf hammer instead of a re-balancing wrench... what if they decide they prefer the hammer and continue to use it? You better be careful with what you spec into and how well you do for now on because nothing is safe from Mj+Ślnir. |

Now I would like seeing this implemented on my beloved Minmatar Logistics and the whole Logistics class, so we can remove from our ranks the people that never wanted to do a support role.

So.... having more slots than any other suit is just unfair, now you might have to carry around a CPU upgrade and only have 8 other free slots to fill. OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!! |

I'm not going to defend the Caldari Logi suit as it was being abused more than any other dropsuit. However just adjusting the suits bonus skills would have been enough.
I'm not surprised - look at the dropships STILL nothing has been done to them. No word on what could or may happen.

Sana Rayya wrote:I could live with a low slot removed if they gave us an extra equipment slot (and didn't nerf the CPU). Nope. Amarr and Caldari logi are obviously made for more combat oriented logies and Gallente and Minmatar for more logi and logi only work.
Giving the Caldari the fourth equipment slot would make it too versatile. It just needs a low slot removed and have it's CPU/PG stay where it is now. |
