Prone position, being the most stable shooting platform, to me would be an obvious addition. I would like to think that even though we are functionally immortal, we still could see some advantage in taking a position that reduces our chances at being shot, especially in open terrain. |

Has my support, it could be imitated by holding down Triangle.
Different suits should use more time going into or out of prone, Light doing it fairly easy and HeavyGÇÖs taking a bit more time. Also, mobility should be hampered, making someone slowly twist to be able to look behind. |

Yes. This cannot be seen as a bad idea. It makes since. Years into the future has shown me that we are less effective and have worse of military strength then today. So please please let our mercs know basic training! Game mechanically is fine too since it wouldnt be the first FPS to have it. ALSO vaulting makes since too. Just saiyan.:D |

Also agree on the vaulting, but that might be harder to implement I can imagine. Seeing as it might need some instructions on the map to designate what is a viable obstacle to vault over. |

So you can just jump and your guy will not get hit and preform a cool animation.. |

We all understand what we perceive is fair, but thatGÇÖs not necessary true for the game to understand
If itGÇÖs something thatGÇÖs build into the player movement, then a lot of values needs to be determined: Is a wall an object? Is it vaultable from every side? How low, high, short or long must it be for one to be or not be able to vault over it? Does it need a clearing? Will it commit to a vault if itGÇÖs a drop on the other side?
If itGÇÖs build into the map, then thatGÇÖs a lot of extra work for whoever designs the map. This is what I believe they went with in the shooter game Brink, and recalling even then they had plenty of issues with it. |

Prone probably won't happen, because non-snipers already cry endlessly about not being able to kill snipers with their short-to-mid range weapons. Sure, it's about as stupid as someone complaining that they can't talk to someone in another country by yelling, but someone with a telephone can, but logic isn't the AR Ram-bro's strong suit. |

When Dust 514 implements stealth modules there are going to be cloaked Sniper-hunters, and a prone sniper with no way to turn fast enough or run away is dead when one creeps up behind. |

When that time comes, those snipers will be cloaked as well. The smart ones, anyway. |

Also, Sniper-hunters will likely build their suit to be able to sneak around and detect a sniper once he gets close, while most snipers need to build up damage.
Either way, itGÇÖs going to be a cat and mouse game between those two roles and cautious snipers might not always have the safety to lounge in prone. |

In Counter Strike camping literally halted rounds for 3-4 minutes at a time while a CT refused to rescue hostages, or a T refused to plant a bomb. The dead players were stuck spectating.
In a game like Dust... if someone is camping, and they kill you while doing it, you now know exactly where they are going to be and you could deal with them ridiculously easily with that information.

Camping? Really?
You do realize that what can be construed as camping in other shooters is pretty essential to holding critical points on a map and thereby winning fights in this game? |

Heavies going prone... the lols. Everyone jump on the heavy! Actually from what I've read in previous threads about these type of things is vaulting and sliding are in the works. Going prone seems great but isn't needed. This is supposed to be a fast paced shooter not who is the best at hide and go seek. |
