Has my support, it could be imitated by holding down Triangle.
Different suits should use more time going into or out of prone, Light doing it fairly easy and HeavyGÇÖs taking a bit more time. Also, mobility should be hampered, making someone slowly twist to be able to look behind. |

Also agree on the vaulting, but that might be harder to implement I can imagine. Seeing as it might need some instructions on the map to designate what is a viable obstacle to vault over. |

Seeing as it might need some instructions on the map to designate what is a viable obstacle to vault over. just auto vault when sprinting towards an object. The thing is; what is an object? Seen from the games point of view.
We all understand what we perceive is fair, but thatGÇÖs not necessary true for the game to understand
If itGÇÖs something thatGÇÖs build into the player movement, then a lot of values needs to be determined: Is a wall an object? Is it vaultable from every side? How low, high, short or long must it be for one to be or not be able to vault over it? Does it need a clearing? Will it commit to a vault if itGÇÖs a drop on the other side?
If itGÇÖs build into the map, then thatGÇÖs a lot of extra work for whoever designs the map. This is what I believe they went with in the shooter game Brink, and recalling even then they had plenty of issues with it. |

Sure, it's about as stupid as someone complaining that they can't talk to someone in another country by yelling, but someone with a telephone can, but logic isn't the AR Ram-bro's strong suit. When Dust 514 implements stealth modules there are going to be cloaked Sniper-hunters, and a prone sniper with no way to turn fast enough or run away is dead when one creeps up behind. |

When Dust 514 implements stealth modules there are going to be cloaked Sniper-hunters, and a prone sniper whit no way to turn fast enough or run away is dead when one creeps up behind. When that time comes, those snipers will be cloaked as well. The smart ones, anyway. From what I been lead to believe, it would just make them hard to see, not impossible. Also, Sniper-hunters will likely build their suit to be able to sneak around and detect a sniper once he gets close, while most snipers need to build up damage.
Either way, itGÇÖs going to be a cat and mouse game between those two roles and cautious snipers might not always have the safety to lounge in prone. |

I disagree. If you used a two-stage feature (like pressing the crouch button twice) to go from standing to prone, it might make it easier to kill a sniper. The game should make it a longer time to go from prone to standing than from crouch to standing. A longer time gives more risk when you are trying to run away or dodge. This would give a better chance of a running player with shorter range weapons to nail us. It would make it easier for other snipers to nail us also. This would be the tradeoff: smaller profile for increased risk when someone rushes you. Munch Agree. Also; Just imagine what a Mass Driver will do, it would be both impossible to dodge them and while not as tall, you make a bigger profile on the ground to get caught by AoE-blasts. |
