Last night my gf played a game where she learned the controls and stayed in redline to get use to em. Got 12000 sp. I just finished a game where as a sniper I went 12/6/0 and got 11807 ........what? |

Time spend in a match = SP.
You probably spend less time in a match with your sniper than in those other cases?
CCP might as well make all SP-gain passive. |

Don't complain about something you know nothing about. Divide those amounts by three. Maybe the reason you got so much is because we're getting 3x the SP. |

You're right, it IS annoying that CCP prefers people not to play their game, so much so that they go out of their way to reward them for it. It's almost as if people don't want this in the game, but clearly that must be wrong.
CCP keeps things like this in the game because there's no other draw besides SP. SP is what makes them money, it's what keeps people playing through bugs, it's what keeps people holding onto hope.
Basically, it's SP 514. |

When I did serious fighting with my assault dropship and lost over a million, I made 50,000 ISK.
When I just did trololol stunt piloting and went 0/0 with 0 assists, I made 150,000 ISK |

I'm pretty sure CCP already knows about the AFK issue. People just like QQing. I mean if you seriously feel the need to whine, at least provide something productive like "SP rewards should be be determined by this factor", or maybe this factor". Who knows, an anti-AFK patch might come next week in the update. |

sp earn is as this:(pre cap)
5SP per second spawned into match
(IE not in the overhead view before match because that doesn't count and the time to spawn in after a death is lost SP here, so a 10 second spawn takes away 50SP from you and 75w/ booster)
1SP per WP
so in your normal ambush you need to score 1500-2000 WP to beat the amount of SP(from WP) that an AFK would for that same match for just spawning in and you would need to score 4000-5000WP in a skirmish match.
post cap is
1SP per WP up to 1000 and that is it.
all of this is without boosters but the gains at the end would be greater(per match) and the WP needed would be the same to beat the passive spawned in SP earned and by beat i mean equal to or greater. |

So far you have pointed out that 11807 SP divided by 3 is still smaller than 12000 SP divided by 3 and blamed him about talking about something he knows nothing about without educating the poor soul.

lol.. no ccp will never do that because suits cost ISK/aur.
i proposed a scale scaling passive in match sp with wp sp so that the more SP you have the less sp you get passively and more sp you get per wp. but now that i think about it you could always make it so it scales off of lifetime WP instead of WP with the same idea for the rest and this really should be how it goes. |

We've been at this for quite a long time now. CCP has basically already stated that this isn't something important to them. Mostly it's because they're working frantically to finally pull us out of the Beta stage of the game in order to actually release the game officially. Until then, simple things like this will continue to fall through the cracks, because it's simply not a priority for CCP.
Again, at this stage in the games development, ANYTHING that could hurt AUR sales will NOT be done. So, grab a lawn chair and get yourself a drink, AFK is the metagame of New Eden.
Adapt or die? Sit in the MCC and you can't die....seems legit. |

I'm stating that you're not helping CCP at all by repeating the same complaints over and over again and acting like you're actually helping Dust.
I've watched/read countless reviews of Dust that not only point out the things that CCP is doing wrong, but also how terrible the community is to keep complaining about literally everything 10 times and driving any new players who check the forums away. Either you're someone who really cares about the game is willing to sit here 24/7 to just riducule the developers until they fix every little thing, or you're a troll who has left Dust and wants to see it fail. If you realpy care about Dust, you'll actually help CCP by suggesting to them how they can fix things so that they don't make a change that the community doesn't like. |

I'm still waiting on your productive advice for the OP atleast I explained why he get's more SP by AFKing. I even mentioned that CCP is better off with a all-passive system instead of this if you really want to go deeper on helping CCP-part. I don't have 24/7 to read all forum-posts to check what's duplicate or not but obvliously you do but didn't care to be productive and point us to a decent thread but instead decided to stack QQ on QQ. |

I don't need to give any "advice" to the OP. He's perfectly capable of reading the titles of the discussions on the first page of GD, and so are you. You may have helped support his post, but in doing that you haven't told CCP what to do about the problem you're so worked up about.
In terms of your statement of making an all-passive SP system, that wasn't a suggestion, but rather just a condescending remark about how terrible it is to allow AFKing. I mean, unless you actually want to see everyone progress at the same rate and only earn pointless ISK for battles while losing the purpose of dedication.
If you're really getting this worked up about a fixable issue in the game, then I advise taking a hiatus for a while. No need to take out your stress on CCP and fellow forum members. |

And ofc we are all also also 100% supportive of CCP focusing on core mechanics - whether that focus should have taken this long is another story.
But aside from failed core mechanics that would certainly kill the game in it's crib, sp mechanics that support AFKing are the most critical issue in DUST.
And if you're right about CCP being so dependent on AUR sales at this point that it suppresses their ability to think critically then that's a big problem.
Because passive in-match sp rewards will kill this game just as surely in the mid-term as third-rate core mechanics would in the short-term. |

Agreed but in aprox. 114 days this will cease to matter as by then I will be using a Playstation Four hopefully there will be a PS4 version of Dust 514 and if not then I will play The Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, New Killzone, and a few other PS4 games. |

Its getting frustrating.
I'll be the first to admit that i'm not always incredibly useful in a game, but i'm always doing something that could be useful if you know what I mean.
But when there is regularly 3-4 players on my side afk in the MCC its not easy.
I've been playing on servers other than Oceania lately, we tend to have 3-4 player a side skirmish matches and thats just rubbish. Its got to be said that the Euro server seems to have the most AFK'ers in it from my experience over the last couple of days.
At least the Euro and US servers always have full teams to go up against.
p.s. my only AFK has been today, wtf is up with getting stuck in the MCC walls?  I refused to commit suicide to get out. |
