Don't complain about something you know nothing about. Divide those amounts by three. Maybe the reason you got so much is because we're getting 3x the SP. |

I'm pretty sure CCP already knows about the AFK issue. People just like QQing. I mean if you seriously feel the need to whine, at least provide something productive like "SP rewards should be be determined by this factor", or maybe this factor". Who knows, an anti-AFK patch might come next week in the update. |

I'm stating that you're not helping CCP at all by repeating the same complaints over and over again and acting like you're actually helping Dust.
I've watched/read countless reviews of Dust that not only point out the things that CCP is doing wrong, but also how terrible the community is to keep complaining about literally everything 10 times and driving any new players who check the forums away. Either you're someone who really cares about the game is willing to sit here 24/7 to just riducule the developers until they fix every little thing, or you're a troll who has left Dust and wants to see it fail. If you realpy care about Dust, you'll actually help CCP by suggesting to them how they can fix things so that they don't make a change that the community doesn't like. |

I don't need to give any "advice" to the OP. He's perfectly capable of reading the titles of the discussions on the first page of GD, and so are you. You may have helped support his post, but in doing that you haven't told CCP what to do about the problem you're so worked up about.
In terms of your statement of making an all-passive SP system, that wasn't a suggestion, but rather just a condescending remark about how terrible it is to allow AFKing. I mean, unless you actually want to see everyone progress at the same rate and only earn pointless ISK for battles while losing the purpose of dedication.
If you're really getting this worked up about a fixable issue in the game, then I advise taking a hiatus for a while. No need to take out your stress on CCP and fellow forum members. |

but to answer your post Yes I'm worked up but not about the SP-issue, more worked up about you because you think people make useless threads and calling them out about it and being useless yourself.
I haven't been on Dust since the update (I'm on vacation) and during this time I actually learned what AFKing is. Progressing at the same rate is terrible because there is no incentive to play. You'll make the same SP as someone who plays 12 hours straight, regardless of if you play or not. You know what this sounds similar to ? AFKing, only with your PS3 off!
You're mad because I point out useless and redundant threads which you think aren't so useless? You seemed to drop the innocent "we didn't know there were other threads and we're too lazy to check" act after I pointed out there was at least one other AFKing thread on the first page at the time of this posting. And I suggest you stop speaking for the author of this thread, as you obviously aren't taking into account the title of this thread. "I'm done complaining" obviously indicates that he has posted in other AFK threads or even created other AFK threads! |

You seem pretty motivated to get me to say how I'm being productive. And since you haven't figured it out yet, I'll spell it out for you. First of all, your original comment about making SP an all-passive gain was condescending and meant to ridicule CCP by showing how stupid what they were doing was by comparing it to something that was just as bad. Thanks to me, you changed it into a more productive comment by adding that part about relating active SP gain to WP. Second of all, I'm helping to inforce #16 of the forum rules to keep the forums from getting clustered. |

I don't think you're a troll. I just think you're part of that section of the community who is too immature and incompetent to assist the developers of a game they continue to play despite bugs and inconveniences.

I never said anything about what I think regarding your idea compared to the current issue. I was simply stating what your post indicated. If that's not what you meant, then I suggest clarifying that much earlier next time to avoid arguments or seemingly insulting CCP. In regards to my opinion to AFKing, I also hate seeing it happen. However, I also dislike seeing so many people feeling like the forums are a place to rage and spam with complaints.
I didn't say anything about condensing, I said condescend.
In terms of my original post, my point was that if you divide those large values of SP by 3, you're left with values that are no different from the other AFK complaints. And if the OP knew how SP worked, he would have realized how it wasn't anything unexpected (but still not good) that the AFKing scenario could earn more SP than the sniping scenario. Bad explaining on my part. |

I won't write an essay, so I'll just refer you to the last paragraph of my last post as a counter for your 3rd paragraph.
I particularly find your deduction skills something to laugh at. I ignored your attempts to mock me regarding productivity and dividing by 3, because it really didn't seem productive to reply (oh boy, just stole your mock tactic. Kind of ineffective, huh?). In terms of calling me an AFKer, I can assure you are dead wrong. I have never idled in the MCC before, except for one time while I called in an orbital, if that counts. Other than the thread you linked and one other one, this is the only AFK thead I have posted in. In terms of the thread you linked, I find it quite funny that you're using a thread aimed to insult AFKers against me.
I laughed even more when you linked the thread about the invisibility glitch. If only he had actually told how to replicate the glitch, maybe your point in linking that would be valid. Regarding that thread being a duplicate, I wouldn't want to get in another argument like this, now would I? Especially while I'm still dealing with this one.
Btw, is anyone keeping track of the length of this debate? I think we're headed for a record. |
