I noticed this to some extent before 1.2, but now imperial uplinks are not working as intended.
Also, I have noticed that there are many areas that uplinks can get deployed that sink into the map and cannot be easily destroyed( cannot be shot at and some cannot be destroyed at all)
this is extremely prevalent in areas where there is grating on the ground rather than solid ground, but also many spots that links can get thrown into walls and cannot be destroyed.
this is becoming a major issue that needs to be addressed.
I also agree that links, nanos etc. should be like they use to be on the map. They should not show up until the opposing team spots them. Right now in many cases they are instantly visible to the enemy once deployed.
I hope this gets some attention very soon as this is a major issue in PC |

Hi there,
Thanks for the feedback. The uplinks under the ground seem to be a very nasty bug. We shall fix this problem ASAP. As for the empty handed bug, RKKR, is it possible that you can provide more detail on how this is reproduced? Thanks again. |

OP may want to give feedback about which areas of which maps have this affect on uplinks. There is a map feedback section to do this. |

There are also some location where the Uplink a) falls under the map and b) lets every one Spawn under the map and on occasion I was floating after spawning on a Uplink (initia damber was firing and I was slowly floating into the redzone till I died...) |

Hey GeeDiiiiky! Nice to see you here...well I just throw a uplink down and the next uplink doesn't show up in my hands (I have to swich weapons and back to my uplink before I can use it). Not really sure what more I can add? If you have a specific question, just shoot. I'm goin to check Doshnei Antaros advice when I get the chance t play to see if that's the problem. (I wonder if that causes my laser-reload bug too). |

I've also seen them under the floor. They're not deep, just a couple of 'scale' inches under the floor. Spawning on them works fine, but destroying them is almost impossible - except for maybe with flux grenades. but I've never actually tested fluxing one, I've only heard other players say that you can flux them.
Another thing I've noticed is that uplinks can spawn players into walls, and they get stuck there. You can see half of the player's body on either side of the wall, and kill them from either side of the wall too. The stuck players appear to be completely frozen.
This tends to happen on the 'bowl' shaped perimeter walls of outposts which come out of the ground at an angle.
see crude drawing:
....| ....| ....| .../ ../ ./x
where 'x' is the uplink.

One specific area that I'm pretty sure everyone knows about that the uplinks get stuck in the ground is the map with all of the pipes that you can walk on with the tabletop. Or any pipes for that matter. Seems to work on all of them. And yes, flux will take them out. |

Its quite a universal bug. Grating and hollowbottom terrain (like the area behind A in the city with the 3 towers. That entire area where it is all grating. Often on the screen players appear as tho they are half in the ground. Also many boxes and crates on many maps. Throw a link in the right place and its inside the structure and cannot be shot. Just a couple examples. I think its more to due with the uplink itself in how it renders in relation to the terrain |

Thanks guys for all the details. We do have a bug reported where sprinting right after deploying an equipment causes empty handed. and is actually fixed in our internal build. |

Happened today on the 5 point PC map with the rings going upwards above point "B". At the enemies homepoint "D" I belive it was their is a set of stairs that lead to a walkway with 2 pill boxes on it and a third look out post looking thing attached. The enemy dropped an uplink in the pill box closes to the point and it sunk underground and could not be destroyed even with a core locust grenade. |

Um, it may be related, but I was playing a Domination or OMS map 1-2 weeks ago and the opposing team had placed a Drop under a walkway, just high enough for a player, but not much else. Anyway, as they spawned in, they were hovering above the droplink and couldn't seem to move away. They could still shoot, and turn, but they couldn't get out. There were as many as five I'd wager. Anyway, shot them up like fish inna barrel to put them out of their misery but felt bad about their situation. |

yea that's a consequence of uplink placement going where it shouldn't. Im sure many of us have experienced spawning on an uplink to be under ground, stuck in a box or otherwise cannot do anything but suicide and spawn elsewhere.
hopefully that is part of the fix they are working on |

Something that will be helpful is posting the exact location this happens in the map feedback section. I know it happens in a lot of maps so maybe we could get a sticky thread where we can post the locations we notice it happening in for each map. Next time I'm on Ill start playing around with this and noting locations in the maps thread if there hasn't been one created already. |

any progress on this?
droplinks stuck in the map as well as many NOT being able to be taken down is becoming more and more of an issue
not sure if there are simply more spots that this occurs, or people are learning certain spots and dropping links there, but I see more and more daily that cannot be taken out as the links 'sink' into the map
also we still see major issues with the 'team' based links not working as intended.
lots of SP invested into them for this purpose and they don't work half the time... |

Those uplinks can't be taken down by melee or fluxing? From what I've seen, most uplinks that sink into the ground can be destroyed in those two ways (unless they are truly glitched and enemies are spawning underground as in the Skim Junction city).
Also, if you are stuck due to a badly placed uplink, try calling in a vehicle or having a squadmate drive one up next to you. You can get unstuck by getting into the vehicle and getting out.
Suicide is never the answer! |

no I have run across quite a few recently that cannot be taken down with anything. flux/locus/weapons/melee/vehicle turrets/ even tried forging one and it did nothing...

Interesting then. I'll be on the lookout but so far I've never come across an uplink I couldn't flux or melee. |
