Do you know what the main purpose behind an Open Beta is, aside from getting word out on the game? Stress testing the servers. In order to stress test the servers you need a high amount of players. How the hell do you think CCP was going to get the amount of people needed to properly do this when the build that they used for OB had already been around since pretty much September? They knew most of the vets wouldn't play this game without an Incentive.

No more SP resets was their incentive, it's not something people asked for, it's something CCP decided to do because they knew it was the only way to retain their existing customers.

This was CCP's choice.

Also, you had the same opportunity to play that everyone else did, it's not our problem if you didn't.

I personally saw no problem with keeping my stats after the release.

So your saying that because ccp made a bad game nobody would wan't to play it and they had to 'bribe' vets to stay?

Well let explore that:[i] I wonder why CCP didn't reset the current player that play the open beta til may 14 when the game came out, I always wonder why? I started playing this game on May 14 like all new player before me, u be thinking that everyone going to be on the same level playing field as u, same suit, same weapon, same skill point which is at 500,000 naw and I wonder why is that everyone is higher than me on day one and look like they been playing for year and year In stuff. so I wonder if game that in a beta mode and u basically earn almost everything on there kill, weapon, dropsuit, skill level, all of that, may 14 are u saying that all of them didn't get reset when the game came out. So u know is it unfair to the new player because why they might just give up the game because they no way they can make it. and don't say oh im a crybaby because im talking nonsense something that already been discussed a long time ago whatever or not that CCP should reset all of the current player stat and skill to make it fair for new be on the same playing field. if ccp did just say im done with this game because that. after all know that experience u been doing, after all the learning curve just experience, u know what thing u need to get. if I ever did play the beta of this game and ccp reset everything I just do it again and have fun with it not just making a excuse and say im done because reset my stuff so the new player get a chance to whoop are **** in.


What do u think thou should CCP done what they should of did reset ppl that play beta stat or leave it like so they brag about all stuff they earn for 4 month on open beta.

When the game went open beta CCP stated there was no resets. It was also available to everyone that wanted to play the game. At the same time people that had been in closed beta were reset to 0 for the last time, and they were playing for keeps from that point on. There is no difference in the reset being in the Open Beta phase or the "Official release" if you start the game after someone else you will probably always have less SP then them its just the mechanics of the game. This is also pointless to talk about 2 months after the fact as well.

this is not CoD where you can catch up to someone in a weekend or BF3 where you catch up to someone in a couple hundred hours, if you want to catch up to a hardcore player you need to play like ******* 80 hours a week with both boosters for about 6 months, then youll probably have the same ammount of SP as him, there you go GG

I never mention cod or bf in this post the real answer is why didn't ccp reset that ppl that play the beta until may 14 of game release. I now didn't say they need to catch up all I said was they need to be on same playing feel like everyone else that start from the beginning not having ppl that was ahead of them on day one of game lunch.

I started open beta and im on leader boards as of a few weeksago it took alot of grinding you are not serious enough

We all DID start on the same playing field - you just didn't care to check PSN where DUST514 had it's own sections saying "FREE TO PLAY BETA FOR ALL!"

As i said op, CCP promised no more resets and the community held them to it.

As i said op, tryhards cried loud and hard and ccp had no faith that new people would actually want to play dust. Ccp tried save Dust's meagre playerbase with a bribe.

Show me the tyrhards crying about their SP, they all expected a wipe, but CCP can't use something to draw a crowd and then not deliver, that's not nice

Just remember your opinion a few years from now when the new players want to be on your level, and request that the time you spent on this game be wiped clean
