Hell, I'd be okay with them just putting in bumpmaps of them with no textures just so we'd have them until they're done. |

It's not about that its about more work for littler results, the cost of getting the new suits out now with placeholder models then having to remap all the old items (since they need to continue to exist as is.) Is far too much trouble.
The New Eden database is weird like that.
For example anytime you create a new item ID object inside the new eden universe, a blueprint item is generated with it. So things like... veldspare asteriods has em too.
Or a good example in Dust 514, a milita drop uplink BPO caused your screen to go black. Not the BPC though then though on paper both items are supposed to be phsyically the same. |

Seems about right. I'd recommand you take another look at the "advancing the core" conference that gives more specific time frame : next 6 month and 6-18 months named short and long term.
It's probably the most specific source but it doesnt everything and is focused on core FPS elements.
Anyway, good post :) |

In the e3 presentation video, you can also see more accurate info on things such as the new weapon range system. All those "rapid fire" updates they mention are supposed to come at a monthly rythm. So everything in that video is supposed to be a <6 month ETA.
Anyway, good post :) As I feared... autumn... what ******* came up with the brilliant idea to call till build a release? CCP have already stated that they are focusing on the PS3 this year and the next. But since things are very disappointing, hordes believe there is some secret work on a PS4 version for the release day, and want it official, 'cause "everyone can see that this is happening" or something. |

I'll take the "good post" from a CPM member or two as a good sign ... that hopefully I'm getting most of the outstanding items (outside of things like "new welcome screen" ... somehow I don't think that's a bullet point people will be excited about).
I think the community will be happier once they actually see regular releases ... so far we've only heard (through a third party taking a video of CCP )) that we should expect more regular releases.

CCP hasn't really commented much on non-content issues (bug fixes/enhancements), except to say that they are working on making the game better. I'm sure they want to solve issues, I only hope they'll be able to solve them quickly and completely. |

A roadmap tells us when and how the developers are working on what. Its not a list of concepts with no foreseeable implementation on them. gg |

Fix hit detection is hard to put on a road map. Core things like that are worked on till they don't need work. They are working on it, and till it is fixed they won't know if next thing they try will make a small improvement or fix it. They will know when it is fixed once they have done it basically.
Road map is just new features and gear, you can't predict when bugs will be found. They just have to try and fix them as they are found and keep looking for more.
There is off-field planned. Building things on maps that are captured and options for roles in corps would be off field. The player market and other economic activity to fund the battles is also off field. |

Absolutely, its hard to place a timeframe on bug fixes (depending on the bug, obvious ones get fixed quickly, or at least you know what you need to do to fix it ... fixing it might be difficult).

Too true. I've been trying to cover those sorts of things in the "mechanics" section since they didn't really fit anywhere else.
I've added Corp roles, and moved the player market entry down there also (as well as a few others). |

Aiming fixes aren't coming in 1.2, but we're looking to get them out soon after (as in 1.3 or later). There will be gun balancing in 1.2 and we look forward to your feedback on that.
Does this include the fix for the MD that we have been told has been fixed but is waiting on the next big update to deploy I hope that has been included in this patch.
Also is it just me or does it seem like balancing the weapons then fixing them seems like the backwards way of doing things. |

I haven't read anything about the MD fix, so I don't know. If you (or anyone) finds information, tack it to the thread in a post and I'll update the OP, thats the purpose of all this, to try to let the community put all the disparate pieces of information CCP tells us together.
As for balancing, then fixing ... it does seem backwards, but it depends what is being balanced, and how (range changes? damage changes? RoF or Magazine changes?) Until I see something actually posted saying whats being done, I'm withholding comment. Heck, maybe they're buffing the laser rifles a bit

I shall look for the quote that the MD fix was waiting on the next patch for you, but it is in the same thread where a dev admited the MD was nerfed due to feedback in a dev in office game and worries that when it got fixed it would be OP so they gave it a preemptive stealth nerf just incase. Kind of ironic that they decided the MD might be OP so nerf it before it gets fixed and then re-release contact nades. |

TL;DR i still don't see a map, all i see is the current street sign, myself, and I am sure many others want to know what the end result of all this is going to be and when we can expect to be completing the milestones. and all in one place? you had to put it in three different posts/replies AND you still reserved another one!! damnit ferret! 1 is 1, not 4

Bump for the weekend crowd.
Not really a confirmation of something "upcoming soon", but a screenshot in the latest DevBlog on map development looks like the player may be in a Caldari Heavy suit w/an HMG.
Not updating the main threads because of this, since it is unconfirmed, but it would be nice if the Caldari Heavy suit were at least up to the point of being tested internally. |

Does anyone knows anything about the rumors of a fix, on the Gallentean Dropsuits?.
I heard that those would have a fix on their mobility (not like Minmattar), apparently, a decrease on the speed penalty (like -25% at max level) and more effectiveness (like +15% more armor at maxed level) from the armor plates. |

Could be a militia suit, but I'll take that under advisement. Could also be a suit without any modules, or with a much better movement rate than the Amarr heavy, but much less HP, while still being able to wield a HEAVY weapon.
I'd be rather annoyed though that we keep hearing "Oh, it takes a while to get art assets made because we have to make sure the models can interact with weapons" etc.
Why the heck would a Cal Medium model need to ever interact with a HEAVY weapon?
If they wasted ART time making sure things worked for a Dev Hack ... while telling us to be patient about the missing Racial DropSuits (not saying its impossible, since they might say "all weapons must be usable with Cal Med frame for testing, which I understand, but is less fun/interesting)
So I'm still hoping that its a Cal Heavy model being run in Development. (but I fully acknowledge it might not be and will update the references to it to mention that) |
