No its be constructive or get locked/banned/
Senseless rambling and ranting is utterly useless and clogs the forums.
No matter how fancy you dress up that 'oh lag is bad' in a 4 post long story it is still not that very constructive.
Now stating when and where lag usually attacks you like on this map with this structure with this mood I get lag really bad. Is extremely far more helpful. |

You have got to be trolling.
Anybody can discuss pretty much anything if they just put a little work into their post.
If I were CCP I'd be busy banning entire PSN accounts -- not because of being threatened but so that people who do actually enjoy the game can do so without being harassed all the time. |

Ive seen Herc lock plenty of constructive threads usually citing one ranting post in the thread as reason to shut the whole thing down Getting stressed seeing people not enjoying your companies product is one thing but that sort of behavior isnt very professional and if hes getting burnt out maybe they should add on a few more GMs to lighten the load |

You have no right to be here as far as I'm concerned kid, you don't have a name in game and you also haven't been here that long. You're a nobody, CCP needs to listen to those with true talent (like yours truly) So we can tell them how to fix and balance this game properly, with full developmental control I could fix this game in a little under 2 months. |

Haven't we been through this one before troll?
If you want to throw "kid" around it might be nice if you weren't acting like one at the time.
We're all nobody. None of us get to choose what CCP needs to listen to. CCP didn't make the game so that beta users could declare ownership. And, frankly, when you have your own company, if it were possible that you could manage to keep any employees working for you, I'd play that great game that you think you can make -- assuming it doesn't suck.
Now, just a suggestion, but you may want to stop making a fool out of yourself. |

Good point y'know... the devs are not CCP. One is faceless entity that is run by executives for corporate/investor goals (you know, free market enterprise) and the other is a group of people working to build a game. |

I saw some post of you in the Nanite Injector bug thread that DEVs are working on it. I saw you create a thread about plates (while there was already a great armor discussion thread) for a DEV that was on vacation. Now you would like to have moderator powers.
Shouldn't you just give the DEVs a hint to take 5min off to make a post on the forums? Shouldn't you just elaborate in the existing thread and take notes to give to the DEV? Shouldn't you just warn the GMs of said individuals?
I'm starting to believe you just want to be part of the DEV team instead of CPM.

At least figure out what he actually said before you mangle it up and find reasons to get upset by the mangling.

Obviously I missed the point so why don't you try to explain it to me?
If CCP promises more open communication and keeps asking for feedback...then yes they have to...I'm sure they are having meetings,... and more person than the coding DEVs can post on the forums. |

Again, not prying for information, but if they have reasons aside from "5/14 would be a cool day", that'd be nice to know. Yeah, I have my own theory's as well too. If you have anything you can safely state on the subject, it'd be nice to know it wasn't all about that cute release date. How about "stroking upper management ego"? Surely not. It's a theory on my end as well. !!!!! |

Pretty close actually. I've been saying it all over the forum, but CCP Shanghai feels like :greedisgood: all over again.
It's just a gut feeling, but that's scary enough in and of itself.

Isn't CPM supposed to represent the community? Don't get me wrong I can imagine that some individuals deserve it...but really a post like this from a CPM member.... Just we're players too and some players have their own drama that follows them into the CPM despite best efforts and a big sign saying leave your Drama Lamas at home. The worst thing is that we're trying to play catch up with the current Eve side CSM. CSM is a culmination of 6 years of work and we're trying to get on their level in 6 months or less and we only been in term for one month so far. You have no idea how massive of an uphill fight this has been, CPM 0 is probably going to be the most challenged CPM on the books.
No I have no idea what kind of work you have to put into the whole CPM-thing, but it probably is something to respect you and all CPM members for...but the main thing I was trying to get across is that I thought that CPM was more for CPM (representing us) VS CPP communication. The thing is that these forums seem to become more of a CPM (representing CCP) VS community communication or atleast that's how I feel.
There has been some major issues with the game and almost none or vague communication about it. Even an official message that CPM and CPP are to busy with fixing stuff (what stuff would be nice),..... at the moment for open communication and how you are going to tackle the communication later on (a estimated datewould be nice) would be even better than just waiting at this point.

I don't think it's to that degree just yet, but when the most innovative ideas and features to be added to the game in months are 31 flavors of micro transaction and 5 psn bundles, you have to wonder.
When someone mentioned there was a bundle that came with drop ships I thought it was a joke - I mean it is a joke, but not the kind I thought it was. |

Depends on your view of yourself once you become a CPM. The whole idea of needing a dropship pilot or tank pilot is very silly because there is so much that the CPM doesn't really touch on. Sure in our idle time we help out with the Thread Hunting on possibly missed ideas or concerns (which is why I am beginning to hate bad posters because they're really hurting the game the most as they drown out the real stuff CCP or CPM is after.) and also being well versed in an aspect helps out with certain aspects of feedback but rarely does that expertise needs tapping on less so than the experience and familiarity of the people and the potential responses to changes.
For example one minor small but awesome feature of the 1.2 I have highlighted as probably the best new feature being added in 1.2 has nothing to do with anyone being experts in anything. Yet being players in the game has made all the CPM know how important that feature is.
I mean I would love to update you guys more often but I am restricted to what is or has not been said yet by developers most of the time. All I can do is point out broken and obvious stuff that somehow managed to scrape through the developer's own reading of the forums and they don't miss much which says quite a bit considering how often I trawl through the forums. |

Instead of trawling through the forums for useful threads, why not encourage more devs to post (and sticky) pre-release feedback threads. Have the devs outline the change they're in charge of, then ask for first glance feedback. Then once it hits the server, iterate if required before moving on.
A test server would be a great tool for this too. |

I'm +1ing this so hard right now!
Seriously, if the devs posted some topics in feedback/requests on "I'm currently working on X and would like to see some suggestions on how you think it should operate?" or "It seems that not many players are using Y, what do you think would be a good way to make it more attractive?" Would go a long way. It A) gives us an idea of what they're working on and B) will open up more communication. (Which is seriously lacking as of late) Also, they can filter out all the **** posts within that topic. |

It's good to hear that the DEVs are not missing much on the forums it just doesn't seem like that when some thread get a DEV response and others threads don't or that a DEVs posts in a thread and doesn't follow up. Anyway to improve this kind of communication from DEVs to the community? I know that the community has to adjust too, but I see the current 'negativty' on the forums more like a warning-sign. I hope I'm not confusing you I'm just rambling atm.
Maybe a rating system for threads is a good idea so you guys can filter out the good stuff more easily? |

Well the Developers are people as well, there are a few devs not well versed in forum posting similar to how there are a few members not good at it either. It's not a nice place most of the time and there are a few scared of you guys because of the hostilities being passed around, which is the ultimate reason why super negative posts are bad they chase developers away from responding in the first place. I am not saying you are not allowed to criticize the game but the more you guys sharpen the complaints like a spear tip the less the devs want to poke that.
There are some developers who are better versed in talking with the community such as CCP Logic Loop would be the most recent example he went into the nitty gritty of why the things they are on the maps and why certain things cannot work yet and what is being worked on.
There are a few that are genuinely busy and would love to post on the forums but things are more pressing than reading forums.
While the CPM is trying to encourage the devs to open up more, I really need you guys to not slam the door on their faces if/when they do. |

That would be one of the community representatives' tasks; unfortunately there's no solid replacement for having the actual dev making the changes on hand, reading and replying to his/her own thread. |

Granted, I would've agreed with you on this until about 2 weeks ago....Constant server crashes, over the past two weeks, serous lag presence when trying to play as simple pub match....horrendous hit detection issues over the past week. One person explain why some things don't work isn't enough to put me back in the positive about this game....Some people are even still waiting on their respecs (not me ) which CCP said would be done by the 31st
The announcements forum is usually the only place I check just to see what kind of things are going on during downtime and to see why servers are down....Not that many new announcements lately. NO extended downtime lately to fix lag or server issues since the 12th, and the servers continue to go down, yesterday for example. Servers went down for a few hours I assume, and came back up right before our PC match, which was lost because no one was online because of the server issue that had no announcement as to why it was down or when it was coming back up. Sorry IWS, I had the same faith in CCP as you do a month ago, right now, the more you defend them, which I know your supposed to do, loses your credablitiy with me. Granted im sure it means jack crap to you im just sayin...something needs to be done, hell, at least they could announce what the issues are when they happen. |

Senseless rambling and ranting is utterly useless and clogs the forums.
No matter how fancy you dress up that 'oh lag is bad' in a 4 post long story it is still not that very constructive.
Now stating when and where lag usually attacks you like "on this map with this structure with this mood I get lag really bad." Is extremely far more helpful.
Frankly, the mods need to step it up and start banning and locking a lot more.
