when they knock your isk back to 0 and they will they take about half your assets...i suppose for some who die allot more that would be over half ur assests lolz  ..and yeah kinda sad in invested over a year ago...like a chain tying me to at least have hope in this gods forsaken game. but at least my character isnt ****** now. ccp dont come near my character i dont wanna a respec or you fingers anywhere near my main ever again. |

I honestly think CCP should get on their knees and be thanking their lucky stars that they have 7k-8k player base right now. They will be blessed with angels on their shoulders to keep this player base by the end of this year at it's current path it's traveling. |

MMO stands for massively multiplayer online. If we want to get down to what that exactly means, almost any game with online multiplayer support can be considered an MMO. But generally, the one thing that defines an MMO, is if every player exists in a server or servers, and isn't purely lobby based. Maybe the term needs a change, or we need a new acronym. |

My clan has about 130ish players registered that are DUST mercs. On average I see about 20-30 of them online at any time of the day. Not all of them, just the same 20-30 that are online. Sometimes less, like 15-20. You know what though. We squad up and sync into merc battles with 2 full squads and the night is fun times. We actually even took a district today. As with everything, it is in the eye of the beholder. DUST fails on many levels, fun is not one of them yet. |

i agree ccp stateing that they were gunna make a mmo rpg fps for ps3 that connects and interacts with the preexisting eve may have been biting off more than they can chew. especially for they're first console fps....they now have 4 different gaming communities critiquing and mocking them. i dunno if they can truly combine all 3 of those aspects and not have it fail in some regards...they cannot perfect the fps and the mmo and the rpg aspects altogether and if they do it is going to take a long while....but console gamers do not has the shelf life for an uninteresting game like pc gamer do. i think allot of what is even keeping the measily 3-8 k player actively in dust. is just purely lack of another serious fps to traverse to. game drought and if ccp does not get the ball rolling in big ways with dust then dust will most likely die out with the start of destiny by bungie and ffxiv by square enix. or shortly afterwards...gamplay ccp fix the gameplay...no more new items and fix whats here |

Your whole thread is about two points
1) people only playing dust to support CCP
2) CCP is so awful no one would ever want to support them.
To me at least that seems to make about as much sense as a invisible pink elephant.
I still cant work out what the end goal or point of your post was. My best guess is you came up with the "CCP(Contradictory Callous Products)" thing and were so pleased with yourself you rushed to post any nonsense just to share your quip with the rest of us.
If you want to be critical of the game or CCP say something that is coherent and useful with some suggestions. |

This is a lobby based shooter. CCP is trying to find some loop hole to make their game sound better than it is. Notice it's pathetic tactics. Tetris, Socom, or even MAG didn't go around pretending and calling itself MMOs.
I think MMOs have set the bar that they are open world games with massive players online living in a avatar world (servers) CCP trys to past Dust off as a MMO for the fact that it is a add-on to a MMO (Eve Online) |

Counter Strike have an average of 100,000 players online at one giving time, that is a Massive amount of people. Yet you won't hear anyone saying that CS is a MMO. |

Ya once FF14 comes out I am not really sure Dust will go on. Perhaps players will get on AFK farm maybe the occasional PC battle here and there. Eventually though if FF14 has it's **** together somewhat and just has a sense of direction where it's going the Dust community will be cut by another 10-20% (being modest yet again, most likely higher) |

I remember FreeSpace had a similar "Lobby" concept. Which was pretty much a "chat room" where people could squad up, and form teams, before going into battle. That is what Dust 514 is... a "Chat Room". |

We get it you DON'T like the game. There are a lot of good games out there, try those. I don't know if you've invested a ton of money or are a former Eve player or what but I think it is time to cut your losses. We have all done it, tried a game that we realized had too many problems.
Take a break, leave your char with passive sp or just quit and move on to greener pastures. Maybe in a month the game will be fixed and maybe it will be dead but come back and find out. |

I too have attempted this in a few threads in the past but they always just google Dust514 and CCP has it posted as a MMOFPS. They are too clueless to know what a real MMO is. The fact that a shooter is linked to a MMO slightly doesn't make it a real MMO more like a mmo by association |

I have -ú20 in my PSN account right now, that i was going to spend on Dust 514... But with the recent SP respec fiasco, and not expansion announced for any time soon. I going to save that cash, and get one of the great games coming out soon.
Is CCP lost, and someone else gain. That attitude of "leave if you don't like it", doesn't work very well with a F2P game. |

that said they have built a game that keeps me logging in everyday the only other game that did that was WoW and i think that was a awful state in its first year of release WoW didn't have a 8 month closed beta and than a 4 month open beta, after the beta process they go out and give you Ultima Online or a completely different game than you have been testing the whole time. WoW wasn't perfect at release, but was a complete MMORPG experience...They where, and they still are, the pioneers of the MMO genre, the ones that started the full thing.

that said they have built a game that keeps me logging in everyday the only other game that did that was WoW and i think that was a awful state in its first year of release WoW didn't have a 8 month closed beta and than a 4 month open beta, after the beta process they go out and give you Ultima Online or a completely different game than you have been testing the whole time. AHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA ^^ im laughing because WoW had a very long testing phase and launch was basically a beta because it was so unstable. and look at WoW now its nothing like it was back when it first game out, for example it used to world PvP :P. Sorry... how can you possible compare WoW with Dust 514 ? WoW wasn't perfect at release, but was a complete MMORPG experience...They where, and they still are, the pioneers of the MMO genre, the ones that started the full thing. Actually that is expected in F2P games, since they require little to no investment in the consumer part, player retention rates tend to be lower. |
