To be fair ccp are terrible and 7k players online playing this mess is pretty amazing.

I don't include MAG players in my math because they are customers that don't have a biased opinion on CCP products. I wasn't gonna go around and take a poll and say 35% Mag players, 2% Tetris, 9% Socom, ect. Also most of them would probably fall into the % that feel obligated to play this game because they have real cash invested into a game. Nobody is gonna leave a game where they still have cash in boosters, items, or cash currency(Aur) No matter how bad the game is. There are people who enjoy this game no doubt, but there is also a huge% who constantly hate this game. Just because people continue to play it doesn't mean they like it.

^^ im laughing because WoW had a very long testing phase and launch was basically a beta because it was so unstable. and look at WoW now its nothing like it was back when it first game out, for example it used to world PvP :P.

This video is my proof. Eve players are biased, out of loyalty for CCP that comes from them playing a game for so long and feeling they have to come over here and try to keep being positive and saying how it has potential how as long as CCP is behind this so will they.

They are loyal to CCP and will continue to support Dust because it is not their main game. It is just something they do when they need a break from Eve. The whole I want a game that doesn't end it keeps going forever. How will this game continue to move on if CCP constantly screws up as sure as the sun will come up? In Console there is competition, in CPU they have free run companies aren't making aquarium MMOs right now. Unfortunately for CCP There are quite a few companies that do make PS3-PS4 FPS, 3PS, Massive Online Shooters. None of these have to masquerade as a MMO.

I am pretty sure the only reason it is considered a MMO is because it is a "add-on" to a MMO.

EDIT- I am pretty sure WoW had more player base than 7k. You guys trying to toss up that Dust514 could be the next WoW is pretty far fetched.

MMO stands for massively multiplayer online. If we want to get down to what that exactly means, almost any game with online multiplayer support can be considered an MMO. But generally, the one thing that defines an MMO, is if every player exists in a server or servers, and isn't purely lobby based. Maybe the term needs a change, or we need a new acronym.

MMO stands for Massive Multiplayer Online. Any type of game that has a massive amount of players that are playing online together, is an MMO. A texas holdem poker game you play on your android phone is an MMO, which includes Dust in the very simple to understand term.

It seems you are confusing MMOs to solely be in province of MMORPGs. You have to add the rest of games genre, because MMO is any game that is massively played online.

And btw, i don't know where you are pulling this information out of (assuming your ass), but CCP posted this game as a "sandbox fps", which is exactly what it is.
