I'd be curious to find out where you read a CPM member saying players HAVE to be punished and they can leave if they dont like it. You criticize us pretty easily. Feel free to do so but do not to talk on my behalf if you intend to spill a load of crap, especially as you know nothing of me. You can disagree, but dont speak for me. Respect 101.
Regarding the ISK gate now. Please do tell me how the problem should be solved ?
If every player in the game had received the exact same amount of ISK, maybe leaving the ISK to players could have been a solution. It would have still create a massive influx of proto gear and use of geno packs in PC. But, it would fade at some point.
Now, as player received 600 M, others 80, and others 12, how exactly do you make it fair ? By giving 600M to everyone ? Dumb idea. No, you just take back the ISK. And if some people used it. you manage to take it back anyway while trying to make it the least painfull you can.
Yes the mistake is CCPs in the first place. But deciding to take it all back, and then NOT doing it fully for everyone would be another one. As for "punishment" it's a poor choice of word and i dont see them actually doing anything except getting the ISK back, even if it means deleting some assets. |

There are bugs in games, always.
For persistent multiplayer games abusing bugs (exploiting) has to be dealt with.
EULA specifies that exploiting is not allowed and will have consequences.
It's all about that. |

Sounds pretty standard to me. You get caught stealing and cheating and you get busted. Is our society really so degraded that this isn't expected? Does the anonymity and sense of entitlement/freedom to do whatever you want with no consequences conferred by mass media really screw with people's common sense so much?

When a bug in the game occurs, it is up to the user to not exploit the bug and to report it. Those who exploit any bug may have action taken against their accounts, including having all gains caused by the exploit reversed. Individuals who accidentally are impacted by a bug will not generally be acted against and we investigate all cases in order to establish full facts. |
