Or if You have ever been killed by one? So far i haven't have you? Laser Rifles right now are laughable they have no use on the battle field all they can do is get assists.

If the take two steps forward, or two steps back, they take little or no dmg. If they move, it is impossible to track because the iron sights block the view. Laser is a predictive weapon that can't see where it is shooting. In other news, many threads on this, I hope CCP is listening. Until then, I am sniper.

Dropped it like it was hot once I got my respec yesterday. All Fattie all the time for me now... To make it usable again you'd have to lose the minimum range limitation and change the iron sights back to what they used to be. I'd ask to lose the damn glow effect too, but I imagine some graphic artist at CCP who has idea of how lasers actually function already feels bad enough. Viziam last build: massively OP. Rest of lasers last build: just fine. Lasers this built: in desperate need of UN relief. This must be a joke right? I would love to see a video of a laser trading hits with a tac/logi pro.. I feel so bad for people using that weapon, I ran out of ammo one game and killed 2 laser users in a open field with melee. An I kinda felt sorry for them. If there's anything in this game thats trash right now its the laser rifle..

To get to the standard LR level people had last build, you need a viziam LR with lvl 5 racial bonus, and points into proficiency. I think mathematically 15% will bring the LR to 17 damage per shot. Stick a damage mod on there and your almost to where the viziam was last build (without anything on it). At this point I would be able to compare the viziam to the standard LR last build, and therefore you could consider it "usable" but not until you get it up to that level. OH and of course its only useful in open fields..... where the tact rifles outrange and out DPS them. LOL, funny how that works.

This isn't even taking into account the dreadful iron sight and the mysterious haze.

There are a few threads describing what needs done. Most importantly, needs AGOC sight and ADS sensitivity needs to be returned to what it was. Other things need done as well. I spec'ed into LR as well as Amarr Assualt at the turn of Uprising. Worst decision I ever made. In the grand scheme of balancing Dust 514 CCP needs to start buffing now. There's hardly much left to nerf.
