Can you comprehend the subject line, CCP? I sure as hell hope so, because I am sick and tired of vehicle users hiding behind hills, mountains and even small rises in the map to avoid being struck by swarm missiles. I just got out of a match where an HAV slipped behind a slight rise in the land GÇö not even a damn hill, let alone a freaking mountain GÇö and my Wirkoyomi (sp) swarm launcher missiles decided to slam into the rise, rather than the HAV. And this was after I adjusted the aim to try and account for that rise.
Good freaking grief, CCP. Dust 514, my buttocks! It's more like Vehicle Spam 514. At this rate, you're going to be lucky to ever get more than an average of 4000 to 7000 players on this "free to play" game of yours. |

Lol, you know vehicles have to deal with invisible swarms, 90 degree turn swarms, and tracking around corner swarms. Can't we all just agree lock-on weapons are stupid and remove them? |

Also swarms are annoying enough as it is, seriously while they do stupid stuff like fly into the ground in front of the target, they have a tendency to do the outright insane, like turn 90 degrees, or turn invisible, or continue to follow you when your behind cover so as soon as you appear again they slam into you. |

Agreed. Part of what makes AV so boring is that outside of forge, its all "get in position and let homing devices do all the work"
I mean, it takes skill to get into position. But theres only so much fun to be had doing so. I want the AV equivilant of nailing a headshot while jumping over a ledge to get a split second glimpse at the dude below me. That is sort of possible with Forge, but I hate being so fat. |

The link you provided was quite informative and thought-provoking, Noc Tempre. (And, yes, I'm being serious.) The options within that thread, well, I don't see why it would be difficult for CCP to incorporate them into, at a minimum, the next build or two of Dust 514.
As for the YouTube video, I got a kick of out it, too. I noticed it was posted in 2010 ... as such, should I be disappointed that the graphics on that game were better in 2010 than those on Dust in 2013? (I'm assuming the video footage is from a console; correct me if that's not so).

Swarms are bad. Should be dumbfire, no lock. Or.. you know they could have **** tracking and be pure AA, because atm, these things seem to either fly into a wall trying to hit something or as the Vehicle drives behind it, follows it around. Also if I drive back past it in my LAV, missing it completely it does a 180 and carries on chasing. |

Unlimited range would make them OP, but I'm sure you're aware of that and are simply trying to be annoying.
The OP was created from the perspective of a swarm launcher user who has not specced into any vehicle skills GÇö namely, me. Some subsequent posts by other forum members GÇö Noc, in particular GÇö brought it to my attention that vehicle users, too, are a wee bit upset with swarm missiles GÇö-áissues I didn't know they had until they made me aware of them. So, it appears CCP has its work cut out for it if its going to do anything to please both sides of the equation.
And for the folks whose "contributions" to this thread involved one-liners invoking various wishes toward me, well, perhaps you oughta get to know a person before summarily dismissing them. But, hey, that requires diligence and work on your part, doesn't it, and we don't want that in today's anonymous online world, do we? |

Funny guy. I have no respect for people who spec into swarm launchers. They require no skill at all to use, just like AV nades. CCP needs to remove homing AV completely from this game and let the real skilled AV do their jobs (forges and rails). It's a lot harder for us. When we hit a lav going at full speed at 300m, it is skill, not a cheap lock on feature. |

Sick of these people carrying on like they are on a higher level to those who have specced into Swarms as an AV backup weapon because they think they are so "leet" with their Forge that that's all the game should have to offer.
Get over your superiority complex. You point and shoot with a Forge just as much as a Swarm Launcher when contending with a tank. The differences are when using a Swarm you can then get out of the way, and a Forge can still hit a tank sniping from behind a hill.
But a Forge can also defend against Infantry, a Swarm can do nothing of the sort. So before you act like you must have some kind of 'transcending skill' that allows you hit a tank with a Forge gun, remember that the Swarm users must sacrifice defense against Infantry to take down that tank.
IMO, the Swarm requires the greater sacrifice. Doesn't make you a better player, but it should be appreciated for what it is. |
