CCP:
Can you comprehend the subject line, CCP? I sure as hell hope so, because I am sick and tired of vehicle users hiding behind hills, mountains and even small rises in the map to avoid being struck by swarm missiles. I just got out of a match where an HAV slipped behind a slight rise in the land GÇö not even a damn hill, let alone a freaking mountain GÇö and my Wirkoyomi (sp) swarm launcher missiles decided to slam into the rise, rather than the HAV. And this was after I adjusted the aim to try and account for that rise.
Good freaking grief, CCP. Dust 514, my buttocks! It's more like Vehicle Spam 514. At this rate, you're going to be lucky to ever get more than an average of 4000 to 7000 players on this "free to play" game of yours. |

Lol, you know vehicles have to deal with invisible swarms, 90 degree turn swarms, and tracking around corner swarms. Can't we all just agree lock-on weapons are stupid and remove them?
Unfortunately, at this stage of Dust 514, I really don't see CCP removing lock-on weapons. As such, it'd be nice if they could at least address everyone's concerns regarding them. |

Who are you two again? Oh, that's right: A pair of forgettable insects whose names and actions aren't worth remembering. Do the world a favor and run into a windshield at 75 mph. Thanks.

The link you provided was quite informative and thought-provoking, Noc Tempre. (And, yes, I'm being serious.) The options within that thread, well, I don't see why it would be difficult for CCP to incorporate them into, at a minimum, the next build or two of Dust 514.
As for the YouTube video, I got a kick of out it, too. I noticed it was posted in 2010 ... as such, should I be disappointed that the graphics on that game were better in 2010 than those on Dust in 2013? (I'm assuming the video footage is from a console; correct me if that's not so).

At this rate, you're going to be lucky to ever get more than an average of 4000 to 7000 players on this "free to play" game of yours. Do you also not want swarm launchers to have a maximum range? Yeah, I'm sure you don't want them to detonate at a certain distance, you want unlimited range for your swarms.
Unlimited range would make them OP, but I'm sure you're aware of that and are simply trying to be annoying.
The OP was created from the perspective of a swarm launcher user who has not specced into any vehicle skills GÇö namely, me. Some subsequent posts by other forum members GÇö Noc, in particular GÇö brought it to my attention that vehicle users, too, are a wee bit upset with swarm missiles GÇö-áissues I didn't know they had until they made me aware of them. So, it appears CCP has its work cut out for it if its going to do anything to please both sides of the equation.
And for the folks whose "contributions" to this thread involved one-liners invoking various wishes toward me, well, perhaps you oughta get to know a person before summarily dismissing them. But, hey, that requires diligence and work on your part, doesn't it, and we don't want that in today's anonymous online world, do we? |
