I'm a professional gamer. As in, I actually make money playing video games. Competitive gamers like myself require functional gameplay mechanics or we simply cannot thrive. That doesn't mean balanced mechanics, mind you, just functional ones that can be controlled. I don't need to explain how bad the aim mechanics currently are, or the issues this game has with frame rates. Everyone already knows. But I do feel the need to mention that these things cannot be controlled, and they directly affect my personal performance.
This type of situation is basically a no-win situation for myself. I cannot possibly achieve my maximum potential in this game if I am held back by uncontrollable variables to such an extent. The game as it is, being such an atrocious abomination in the eyes of competitive gaming, is beyond frustrating to play. Much to the point that people very easily put the game down and walk away forever if they are not competitive.
But I am. Worse yet, I know CCP's track record and I know they will fix these things. I also know they will take all the time in the world while keeping communication at a bare minimum. I also know that this particular game has the potential to become one of the most important first person shooters ever made, so it is important to get a foothold and keep it.
So I am stuck, playing this game week after week, lest I fall terribly behind on SP. To stay viable, I have to keep playing something that completely spits on everything I value from a competitive game. Since the launch of Uprising, I have yet to log off of Dust in a state where I was not given a very real physical headache from trying to overcompensate for this games broken mechanics.
So I just wanted you to know this, CCP Staff. Your game right now is so bad that for somebody out there who makes it his business to play video games, it is actually physically painful to touch. And this same person still has faith that you will fix this.
I want you to think about that every time you decide to blow off a request for information or half-ass a hotfix like you have been doing recently. Also, bug fixes do not make expansions. You don't require six months to justify fixing something. It's not appreciated. |

Your post was physically painful to read, so I didn't. I just stopped reading, posted this comment, and now I'm walking away from it. You should do the same with DUST. |

I stopped reading at professional gamer. Because how exactly do you make money from playing Dust? Better off with CoD. Also if you are a professional gamer, you should be able to adapt to this game. I also wanna label myself as a hardcore gamer cause I play games for fun and can adapt easily. I play from a board range of FPS and was good at it I.e. MGO2, KZ2, BF3, SOCOM, Korean shooters on pc and Halo as well. |

Pro gamers would lawl at this game and your post, its vary easy to aim in.
The guns just get stiff on a full trigger, a pro gamer would trigger his aim to get back on target.

Actually the aiming in this game is horrendous. On top of the sloppy controls there's half a second of input lag. |

Actually the aiming in this game is horrendous. On top of the sloppy controls there's half a second of input lag. So how come I played for 6 hours straight and saw none of this?
I'm seriously starting to think the build deployments aren't installing the same way on each console.
I'm not kidding, just look at all the threads on here and the different experiences so many users are citing. It's far too widespread to just be whining, and far to diverse a list of issues with different issues being experienced by each player to be explained by anything else. |

People are having different experiences because your resolution and amount of matches you play in a sitting has an effect on input lag. Play at 480p and for about 10 minutes or so you'll have very little input lag and the game feels much smoother. Play at 720p and you start off with half a second of game-breaking lag and everything feels choppy. |

I cannot take all these threads anymore!!!! This goes out to all you people to hate Dust. Dont play it. Wait several more months/updates if you have faith in CCP. Problem solved. Uprising's aiming is not bad. If a "pro gamer" cannot aim in this game they are simply a terrible gamer. I dont know how many times my militia assault rifle took me to the top of the leaderboard. |

Last build was SP > Skill since every passive was tied to your character to make them as powerful as possible. The gear was just an afterthought. Now, most of the passives are tied to their respective modules to make them more efficient, you actually have to use skill in figuring out a fitting that works with your play style. You can be a professional AAA FPS player, but if you can't make a proper fitting, you're going to be gimped. |

Im not gonna lie the aim felt strange at first, but it took some time to get used to the analog acceleration and stiff Full triggers,,
Besides the odd server with dysinc issues, I have no problems with the current aiming engine. Its clean, sharp, and fast.. |

Adjust your display settings in the XMB. Decreasing your resolution has a significant impact on the amount of input lag you get.
Even with the garbage graphics though the game will still stutter in the menus and suffer from regular framerate drops which proves that limited PS3 hardware capability isn't the problem but rather it's CCP's sloppy and terribad programming. |
