DUST Search - DUST 514 vs Destiny

Also i like Dust's more hard Sci fi universe which does not have magic (Destiny look like it will) and no stupid alien races.

I've played all of Bungies other FPS and every single one of them is a AAAA title. They blow just about everything else out of existence. Destiny is going to be another AAAA title from Bungie and fierce competition for all shooters as it is no longer an Xbox exclusive. Also I'm betting on it being a PS4/next Xbox release title.

It will be released for the PS3, so I can try it out and decide if itGÇÖs worth playing. The only thing that concerns me about Destiny is their deal with Activision. Destiny will definitely be Dust 514GÇÖs biggest rival and could potentially crush Dust considering how small its audience is. Dust has been lucky with its lack of competition, but Destiny will offer players a real alternative.

Destiny just takes it a dozen steps further with a persistant world, space flight and combat, unique classes/abilities rather than a handful of gun types. Plus customizable vehicle appearances. Unless there's something I'm not seeing Destiny appears to have all the features of DUST plus a lot more, from a company with a MASSIVE shooter background which IMO is what puts DUST behind. The extremely limited amount of content they have seems to be a rollercoaster of nerfs and buffs with little balance. Totally not bashing DUST at all. I love my sci-fi and the more offerings there is the better, it just seems a bit lacking for the day and age it's in.

As it stands Bungie is top of it's class for making FPS. This cannot be denied.

People used to say bioware and gearbox could not make a bad/nothing special game. Then bioware made That star wars MMO that although not bad was nothing special and gearbox made/sold Aliens colonial marine. There is always the potential for failure. They could make ****** servers or make it P2W or a grindfest or release basic game modes but outside of the campaign offer nothing special. Limited amount of enemy to fight (all that animating and HQ models takes time) Could end up fighting a few enemys of the same model but dif colors. They could have crappy AI boring missions or anything else. They could have management shifts now that they have grown as a company. Who knows. Never buy a car before its built. Same should always apply to video games. Pre orders made devs lazy.

It's still hardly anything, showing a character walk or reload doesn't tell me how the gameplay will be. You see a guy fire about one time which still doesn't show anything.

It's still hardly anything, showing a character walk or reload doesn't tell me how the gameplay will be. You see a guy fire about one time which still doesn't show anything. True, but it does give a very good view of movement animations and environment detail which is breathtaking in my opinion. I don't have a ton of complaints about DUST, but the incredibly simple flat, landscapes with no detail that look straight out of a 10 year old game annoy the hell out of me.
