 Fear of the TAC Is a result of crap players who are carried by their SP/gear and fear that newer players have a weapon that can match them.
 
 My vote is no NERF....work on content instead CCP

 Weren't you one of the people QQing about the removal of SS? Now you're clutching onto another game breaking toy while pointing the finger at player skill? That thing needs to be rebalanced and if you don't like how they do rebalance it, you got 3 other ARs to choose from. Right now, the TAR does what all the other ones do, and it shouldn't be like that.

 The irony is that the TAC always existed. It only came into peoples view after the AR range was nerfed. Are the "carried" going to cry about every weapon until they are all nerfed? Learn to take cover scrubs.....a crate has infinite health...far more then your 500 shields and 300 armor.

 If you can answer both questions with "yes", you must think they need to be re-balanced or you're clearly insane.
  
 
 Are you even aware that the Tac AR used to have a cap on its rate of fire AND far less damage in the last build and that's why it was probably never used in Chromosome? But yes, they should be working on content. And placing a simple cap (not as extreme as in the last build to make it useless compared to other ARs) on the firing rate of Tac ARs.

 Nah SS had to go...giving older players longer range was idiotic....but yeah every AR at every SP level should have a point blank range of 550 meters.
 
 If CCP wants CQC then make maps that encourage it...ie make more content.
 
 Seriously the game doesn't even have f*cking trees....and the solution instead of making trees is to kill the range of assault rifles? In an FPS?

 The irony is that the Tac was useless last build due to kick because in the previous build it was only ever used by modded controller scrubs CCP fixed that by making it pointless.
 
 Also find a proper use for the word irony or change you clone name to Alanis morrisette

 SR working as intended - killing proto shield tank in 2-3 shots, i'm fine with that, TAR is also fine - killing anyone with 4-5 shots.
 There should be more options for Assault Rifle tbh, like Gallente/Matari ones - Gauss Assault Rifle / Precission Assault Rifle (spelling?).
 I am pretty sure many people will switch to other variants when they are out, like they did with SR.
 Also, FA and SA variants of rifles are equal to me, TAR/SR is not that versatile as FA variants, just hold a button & win.

 I don't use a TAC i use a standard Gek.

So you want to use cheap GEK and ADV suit, get on field vs. Proto/Duvolle TAR and kill them, sounds smart.
 I am also using GEK sometimes and i die the same, regardless of Dropsuit/Weapon, pretty much l2p and get used to thing called "tactics" instead of running mid field screaming "i am here, headshotmeplease".

It makes you a scrub, riding off the new FotM.

 Watch that video that one of the DJINN's posted. He used an TAC. He missed like 90% of his shots. Hell in most fights he used grenades more effectively. The sucker is still hard to aim and less forgiving then a full auto AR....and nearly everyone he fought (in close quarters by the way) just friggin stood there or danced around in the middle of the street. The weapon is not hard to counter...friggin move!!! friggin take cover!!!!
 
 BetaMax may be a horrible example but i suspect they are not. Prime example's of "leet" players who are in fact "carried" and have forgotten or probably never learned how to avoid getting fired at.

 the only time a CSR stands a chance vs a TAR is at Op range(mid-range) with cover. which is an EVEN run.

TAR users can continue firing 30 round while a CSR has to stop firing after 9 rounds, or 3 if you attempted a charge shot( unless your a vet Amarr assault.) if you mess up and overheat, guess what? "Vin Vicious has committed suicide". TAR users also have a far greater zoom over a CSR.
 
 currently the TAR has NO drawback and NO disadvantage the recoil is a joke the only time it gives you trouble is during movement but is controllable with aim assist on
 
 EVERY GUN HAS A DISADVANTAGE BUT THIS ONE,

 You don't even need a modded controller to realize this if you've tried it out. Over twice the base damage per shot of an automatic AR, higher range, scope, no noticeable dispersion with zero AR Sharpshooter skill investments, accurate hipfire, rate of fire that rivals that of an automatic just by spamming the R1-button; what exactly is supposed to give anybody incentive to use any other AR? Or any other anti-infantry weapon, at that? Just get AR Operation to level 4 and you can start using the GLU Tac AR and murdering people all willy-nilly. This is not even taking Complex Damage mods and AR Proficiency into account. If anybody thinks this is balanced, you seriously need to try out some different weapons in this game.

 rebalancing the gun is tricky.
 
 Your suggestion is basically making it a Battle Rifle, or a semi auto sniper rifle.
 
 The gun should be balanced in a way where players have to choose range or damage..Tact. AR or fully auto AR. Currently the gun has range and DMG.
 
 How CCP should go about this is debatable, but one thing is for sure, the gun is stupidly balanced atm.

 Well CCP sees the value in having an all purpose EZ mode, pick up and use weapon, so that's why the AR is king of the battlefield.

 the funniest situation that I run into all the damn time is the over confidence of proto assaults with proto TACs trying to 1vs1 strafe me while I am using a proto heavy with 1300+ EHP and a damage modded Gastun officer HMG.

 It would still be broken if it was me usin git, but at least it would be ME using it!
 
 Everyone should give this game a break until PC, lag, hit detection, frame rate and guns and aiming have been fixed. So give it 6 months.

 A better player would be able to beat you with or without a TAC. If you take away the TAC, and they can't beat you anymore, it was a crutch.

 The TAC is no more deadly then any higher tier gun on many FPS. The moment of it being fired, you getting hit and going down is the same as most other shooters. My entire built is CQC. But I never have to much trouble with TAC. TAKE COVER!!
 
 Be aware of your surroundings. If you run blindly in to battle you will get taken out. socom style. And for the love of the ladies that mourn you, pay attention as to what the dude does after you take cover! Does he wide circle around? You have chance to escape if your dodging is good. Is he coming in? have your RE or grenade ready.
 
 It ain't hard. This ain't a board game. You have to move around. I die from TACS too, but never on 1vs1. Rule of thumb is it should take 3 or 4 guys to take me out. It should take that same amount for you too.
