Definitely need to reduce the multipliers on most of these skills. CCP said it would take 7 years to level up every single skill. Either they're going to add more skills over the next 3 years, which will probably come with 50x multipliers, or they should increase the current multipliers, or drastically cut the amount of skill points earned per match, with 0 earned if you're 0-0 at the end. |

Relax. This is a hypothetical to help you judge the state of the current game.
Lots of people are saying everything is ok and these balances make sense....well i am asking you to step back and to judge the game in its current form with eyes wide open to its flaws. |

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it is quite uncommon for a Beta-tester's progression earned during a Beta to carry over after the final release of a game.
In most cases, there is a full stat-wipe/reset at launch, and everyone starts from scratch, at square one.
Although I do feel that a full refund for Aurum spent would only be fair. |

In eve I can max out and fly all the frigates and destoryers with just 2 million sp. As in with everything at least level 4.
If that happens I wouldn't care aboit a reset. Think of the people who come to play in 2 years and they need 6 months just to get one weapon and suit .... |

Unless a catastrophic event happens I would not welcome a reset. Simply beacause, I don't like liars |

If yes doesn't that tell you game play is really not all that fun anymore with the update?
If yes then how do you think a new player feels when they come here and not only start with 500K Sp but have to go up against people with 8 million SP? What chance is there that if you were them that you would stay for very long? Yes I would. And thats there problem for playing the game late. We played since closed beta, and earned out SP. I completely agree with you. A corp member and I have been doing great with even just the militia drop ship. I'm not getting any kills, but I am getting people to objectives. Sorta sucks my stats are ******, but still I know my team members know the value I am to my team.
With that said, I'm a little indecisive with a reset. I enjoy having my skill points, but playing with mostly militia gear till the full release on the 14th. I have noticed a very imbalanced play when it comes to the players with proto suits/weapons to players with std gear. I've had the drop on many of players, but because they were in a "magical suit," they had the time to turn around and put several rounds into me, while I'm reloading, yet still killing me.
Not for me, but for my friends that I want to invite to this game, and for the new players that join so we're not always going up against the same people. So with that... Please CCP, make skill capped matches. |

Technically, you haven't been "playing this game", you've been voluntarily testing an unfinished product in order to evaluate it and provide feedback.
It's supposed to be a Beta Test, not a head start.
As far as I'm concerned, keeping what you've earned up to this point is just CCP's way of saying "thank you for your service". |

I wish the majority of old players would leave get tired of listening to them complaining about everything that combats their play style. It's like you are trying to kill the game by polluting the forums with exaggerated bs about how bad the game is and how unbalanced it is. Every time a new build comes "vets beg for the old build back. Everyone used to talk about chromosome the same way they are talking about uprising. Now you want chromosome back. I would not quit playing if they did a reset. Still if they did ccp must refund ALL aur spent on sp boosters. Also they would have to leave anything already purchased with aur or event items in the account. This does not include used items like modules and dropsuits. These may have helped gain aur for the player. But they are an indirect contribution at best unlike boosters.
I personally can't see why they would not reset. New players are going to be on a semi-level playing field. Us that have been playing will still have an advantage. We know how the game works they don't. We know how far x weapon shoots. We know the exatct effect of putting sp into x stat. We know how x vehicle handles/controls. We know the maps and all the best spots on them. We know how effective x module on x dropsuits or vehicle will be. Heck we even if it will fit on there before we buy it. On top of all this we will have items that a new player can't get at all. Well unless one of us trades or sells it to them.(whenever we get that ability)

Yes, I don't have a ton but I definitely invested this limited time into it understanding things were perminnet.
try playing as a DS pilot and then told you're losing the SP you gained over a couple months. running militia because your DS cost too much SP and the isk lost per battle is like a million+.

It's a beta.
Full reset on launch.
Anyone that has bought AUR or the packs will get it as if they had never spent it.
Out of interest can anyone here name a game that was released and the progress for beta testers was rolled over to give them an unfair advantage against new players?
10 points for the person that can!

I wouldn't quit but it wouldn't change anything. The levels of SP required to max a specialisation are high enough that the SP gap would reappear. |

Nah I play with a buddy who's 6mil behind me and the difference is quite clear.
They reset me meh it happens I have played fps and mmos for a long time and fully expected a reset at launch.
When they said oh hey no more resets I was confused and thought they planned on using us to test match making.
But that's out the window.
So reset sure but with that comes all that aurum... so much aurum... I'd have boosters for like the next year... and a half. (I got drunk one night bought the big one... and a bunch of merc packs) |

Eventually, but the weekly SP Cap would prolong this, and it wouldn't be nearly as bad as people having a full year head start on launch day. |

I have been in the closed beta since May 2012, this game is in constant improvement, I call it an everlasting beta, because even 4 years from now, they will keep improving it, so it doesen't matter wheter this game is called beta or final, it will always be beta to me. In the past years we've had about (hard to remember) 3-4 resets, and we all timers still stucked with it. This "beta" has been opened to the public now for 3-4 months, meaning the game has been opened (released) for anyone to play for 3-4 months. 10 points if you can name one game that resets after 3-4 months of release. If someone wanted to be on the same playing field, no one stopped anyone from joining when the "beta" went open several months ago, if they are just discovering the game, well it is the same as any MMO they are not going to reset just because someone joined in late. Anyway that is the way I see it. When the beta went public, CCP promised the folks who were in closed beta that this was the last time their SP was being reset, and they are holding true to their promise.
And to answer the question posted for the topic, no I would not leave even if they did a reset, this is an awesome game in constant improvement, those complaining in the forums about game issues did not see how the game was a year ago, or have any ideas of the improvements since then. |

Open beta =/= released.
Not everyone wants to play a stripped-down, unfinished, unpolished beta version and all the bugs and problems associated with it, and choose to wait for us beta testers to deal with and find the problems, so they can enjoy the (more) finished game upon it's official release.
Despite the fact that it's been in open beta for 3-4 months, a beta is still a beta, the "official" full release of the game is not until the 14th, and I still cannot think of a single game that has not reset upon it's official release, whether it be from a closed, private, or public beta. |
