People have no problem throwing jabs at the imperfects on the forums, but in games they always seem to disappear before the matches start.

Dunno. But ive also seen the reverse, some top teir players quitting out because the sides were stacked. There have been games where Id be telling my buddy "Oh man we are going to get stomped, look at these teams. Oh wait, no we have ______ and _______ we might be able to win this." Then ______ and ______ instantly leave the game.
Seen this a few times from imperfects. Point is, it happens on both sides, right now theres nothing to fight for but e-peen stat glory, so folks will do what they can to ensure that is high. |

speak for yourself. But I'll tell you, that when my team back peddles cause other team has 4 or 6 corp mates. I give them three suits to show me they are trying to push up. after that I'll chill in mcc. As for me? Why I can't be found, And I don't budge from the objective i haunt. Nobody likes to lose money, and nobody likes to get pubstomped. I'm OK with losing as long as I feel like I've offered resistance, but some games you just want to walk away from because the next one will probably be far more entertaining. |

Sometimes there are reasons for backing out of a game before it starts, IE a buddy just got on and wanted in group or being needed for something else.
Quitting during a game however just lets your team mates down and puts your name out there for the reputation that comes along with that kind of action. There are free suits for a reason, do what you can and the match will be over shortly and you move on. |

This man speaks the truth. Don't think they're afraid but I guess if they know they're team is going to lose, they don't try.
I'd rather they leave then afk in the MCC in squads. |

I"m all for those WHO TRY. But when no one is trying.. kinda hard to keep up the good fight. Find it annoying tho, when I do get into 1vs1 with ether imp or pro, giant, or whatever and they find I'm not down in 2 seconds that just so happens I get killed by a team mate. Ok, I get that. But it so happens to also be a corp mate. Are you guys calling for back up? psh.. oh well. the life of a scout is a lonely one. |

What gives? Because a lot of shooter players obsess over their K/D to the detriment of everything else. The idea of having a fair fight makes them run away.
Pub stomping as an issue in Dust? Why do you think people do that?

I don't like to back out,. I prefer to stay and fight no matter how bad the sides are stacked. My squadmates don't always agree with this philosophy, so if I want to keep playing with them I've gotta leave sometimes. Still if I'm soloing I'll never back out because of the enemy team, as evidenced by the fact I once went up against a stacked team of bunnies with nothing but randoms on my side. We got stomped to hell, as expected, but we still fought. |

I stay in matches where I go heavily negative. I don't give a **** about my K/D, and I never have. You can see it in the way I play.
I'm interested in supporting my team whether that gets me good stats or not. I think that's the way everyone who plays this game should be. |

I've seen more imperfects back out of games than anyone else.
I've them sat there, looking pretty, and then say a squad of six STBs join or something and then all the Imperfects leave. It goes both ways and you guys are JUST as guilty of it.
If I know i'm going to get stomped I just load up a milita sniper fit and wait the game out for some free ISK and SP. Unlike you lot, I don't care much about K\D :D |

remember guys, after a few hours, you will inevitably suffer framerate issues and have to relog. No point in staying in a match because you won't be able to compete at a satisfactory level. I really doubt many people are leaving because they are getting "stomped" or losing a few clones.

I'd say mid-game quits are 50% ragequit due to getting faceraped by good opposition, and 50% it's time to reset Dust because lag if faceraping you. Some people can't handle having a bad match, but at the same time I know that the superlag matches that are all too common cause many a ragequit as well. |

You're welcome. Matchmaking working as intended.
Comparing both player lists is something I try to do. Although with this game build I'm not bleeding isk in stomps or worst yet the competitive matches where people are just throwing their corpses at each other to advance the fight one or two meters towards an objective.
If anything with the current prices I've learned my behaviors are more motivated by "isk loss" rather than KDR. In the last game build going negative in the payout was actually stressing me out, kind of weird since it is just fictional money. |
