Dunno. But ive also seen the reverse, some top teir players quitting out because the sides were stacked. There have been games where Id be telling my buddy "Oh man we are going to get stomped, look at these teams. Oh wait, no we have ______ and _______ we might be able to win this." Then ______ and ______ instantly leave the game.
Seen this a few times from imperfects. Point is, it happens on both sides, right now theres nothing to fight for but e-peen stat glory, so folks will do what they can to ensure that is high. |

Sometimes there are reasons for backing out of a game before it starts, IE a buddy just got on and wanted in group or being needed for something else.
Quitting during a game however just lets your team mates down and puts your name out there for the reputation that comes along with that kind of action. There are free suits for a reason, do what you can and the match will be over shortly and you move on. |

This man speaks the truth. Don't think they're afraid but I guess if they know they're team is going to lose, they don't try.
I'd rather they leave then afk in the MCC in squads. |

I"m all for those WHO TRY. But when no one is trying.. kinda hard to keep up the good fight. Find it annoying tho, when I do get into 1vs1 with ether imp or pro, giant, or whatever and they find I'm not down in 2 seconds that just so happens I get killed by a team mate. Ok, I get that. But it so happens to also be a corp mate. Are you guys calling for back up? psh.. oh well. the life of a scout is a lonely one. |

I'd say mid-game quits are 50% ragequit due to getting faceraped by good opposition, and 50% it's time to reset Dust because lag if faceraping you. Some people can't handle having a bad match, but at the same time I know that the superlag matches that are all too common cause many a ragequit as well. |

You're welcome. Matchmaking working as intended.
Comparing both player lists is something I try to do. Although with this game build I'm not bleeding isk in stomps or worst yet the competitive matches where people are just throwing their corpses at each other to advance the fight one or two meters towards an objective.
If anything with the current prices I've learned my behaviors are more motivated by "isk loss" rather than KDR. In the last game build going negative in the payout was actually stressing me out, kind of weird since it is just fictional money. |

It's important to think of pub matches in terms of ISK. Stats and Rep, and even fear or disgust with the opposition are an ephemeral vanity.
Sometimes you're just not in the mood, and just want to go to sleep. Being on the winning side can be just as boring, because now you're competing for kills. = Competing to make money.
I'll seek to kill any hostile wearing proto in a sneaky fashion, usually using a TAR or a Sniper Rifle, because it's an oppotunity to make money. = Again Competing to make money.
Kill a good suit, and bleed an opponent dry. Why walk away? If your support for that match sucks, then don't rely on it. Rely on your knowledge of the map, to get surprise kills from various angles. Who cares about winning the pub match itself? In New Eden, everything is about ISK. Everything.
Even in PC, everything is going to be a war of attrition. |

I am with you on this one, gbghg. Those matches are pretty damn ugly, too. I've lost track of matches where the red dots went through my blue dots like a scythe ... oftentimes, the final score would be 0 to 65 or 0 to 75 or somesuch crap like that.

I have to agree with the LOTIS guy on this one. KDR doesn't matter because of people backing out. Who knows what peoples real KDRs would be if they didn't back out. I have never left a match and never will. Its a game people its not real money you are losing. If you never play anyone good then how do you expect to get better. Ill play a whole team of imperfects right now by myself I really don't care. I will still kill some of them and that's all that matters to me. |

They dint just win the game, no! They farm us like mushrooms, spawn camping, letting us gain an outpost, only to have someone to shoot at. We had absolutely zero chance to win, absolutely zero. After three matches us both quit and all he has asked me was: THIS is the game you enjoy and telling me to try out!? How the hell is this even a finished game?
