It all started a about a month ago, Nova Knife was explaining this hip new thing to me about sitting around doing nothing in the MCC while playing other games. It started with just both of us happening to AFK at the same time while playing other games like Wings of iccarus. Next thing i know im squad afking with him and 2 other dudes while playing minecraft or otherwise being productive. I had to shower for hours!

However thanks to the support of this group, playing the new build and getting ratfaced drunk at fanfest, i can no longer bring myself to play the current build and im sure everything will be good as i recover from this condition. As such, its been about 2 weeks since I last AFK'd on my honour, or may i be melted down into biomass.

Granted I did AFK most of the time the fan fest stream was up, that was a special circumstance in my eyes though. Now that fan fest is over, pick up your controller and play.

I find this behavior troubling to say the least. You and Nova Knife started the whole AFK epidemic that we have now. Skirmish is unplayable because of the aforementioned epidemic. Yet, CCP gives you guys the task of establishing an honest fair election process and other duties dealing with DUST514.

DUST514 is dying because of the behavior that you and others started and continue to do. How is that fair to the people that actually played the game for all their SP? It just shows the whole playerbase that CCP condones afking, so why not do it. CCP has shot themselves in the foot with this one.

I honestly believe that most of the community doesnt give a **** about AFKers and its just a few vocal people being all bitchy because these matches doenst matter. If they where AFKing in a corp match then yes, i would have something to say, but this is just such a moot point as loads of stuff is changing in a few days anyway.

I don't really know what the CPM's exact role is, but the fact that you guys can't be bothered to play them game you are trying to build and represent kind of sours a lot of the community. Imagine a CSM member who comes on and talks about how they just AFK mine in EvE because playing EvE is just to damn boring. Oh wait that would never happen.

Sure the majority of new players are going to be pretty bad and get pub stomped but I would rather give them the full experience of pump stomping if they had at least an active 12+ people on the field and not dying looking at the map and seeing 8 people AFK in the MCC and when they spawn next to you from trying to defend their "Pub matches" they realize this is one of the elected CPM's afking bringing their game down...

And why the hell is that funny? I EARNED all of my (unimpressive) 7.2 million SP. I have never AFK'd once except to answer the door to my apartment and that would be mid game where I was at risk. And to hear a member of the CPM who is supposed to have the best interests of the community in mind and is afforded privileges that most anyone playing this game would love to have and you're laughing about AFKing like its a joke? A ******* JOKE?!?! Disheartening and disappointing.
