It all started a about a month ago, Nova Knife was explaining this hip new thing to me about sitting around doing nothing in the MCC while playing other games. It started with just both of us happening to AFK at the same time while playing other games like Wings of iccarus. Next thing i know im squad afking with him and 2 other dudes while playing minecraft or otherwise being productive. I had to shower for hours!

However thanks to the support of this group, playing the new build and getting ratfaced drunk at fanfest, i can no longer bring myself to play the current build and im sure everything will be good as i recover from this condition. As such, its been about 2 weeks since I last AFK'd on my honour, or may i be melted down into biomass.

*Bows* This is getting out of hand. To me this is people making a mountain out of a mole hill. Yes AFK is a problem for the public matches we have now and yes it does remove a bit of competitiveness for the game mode, on public servers. But who is going to use this tactic in PC? I have never seen an AFKer in ambush. But if you wish for AFK to go away, then we as players need to pick up our controllers and play. We don't need CCP to hold our hands and remove it from the game. It is a simple problem to fix, just play the game. It all starts with you, as a player, deciding that you will not propagate the AFK phenomenon.
Granted I did AFK most of the time the fan fest stream was up, that was a special circumstance in my eyes though. Now that fan fest is over, pick up your controller and play.

Not really. It was fan fest, and I started out playing while watching the stream but it was too good to have my attention split. I haven't AFKed since the end of FF though. |
