I highly recommend that we focus on the 99 positives. If friendly fire turned on on if you afked for more than a few minutes that would surely help a fair bit.

Dude. You are getting caught up in the Corp vs Individual vs Role thing. These are all separate. What the Corp direction vs the Individual Direction vs the role direction will never ever be the same. In the same way you cannot judge a corp based on the action of one individual and vice versa. Similarly you cannot judge the role based on an individual and an individual based on the role they play. Kain as a CPM is a good fit. He knows how to keep the Corp separate from him and from the role he plays as CPM. How many players you know can do that?

So I'm gonna give you my take on this whole "Sperogate". That's how I like to call it. I've already told you guys what happened, the dude was caught AFKing his pants down in the MCC and he's trying to weasel out of it with a beautiful political move. Essentially saying "I was testing things out for the greater good". I don't buy it, no big deal guys, because the fact of the matter is that the dude has turned over a new leaf and is now against AFK farming, at least on the surface. I mean if Obama was able to won the Nobel price just by talking, I'm willing to give this guy a chance. Now as far as Spero's questionable affiliations... well I can only wish they'd clean up their act and stop antagonising the Dust 514 community. Peace out!

We go about solving problems differently than most. If something is out of whack with gameplay, we will try and break it beyond recognition. Why? Because it creates "drama" posts like this one that will bring attention to the problem. Does CCP listen to Imperfects when we post? Not at all. But they do listen when alot of different people in the community post their concerns. There's a reason when they messed with MDs a build ago we switched to them for a bit. It created alot of posts on day 1 complaining about how OP mass drivers were and it raised awareness. Sometimes just "saying something" on a forum doesn't work, you need the community to back you. We just try to do this in different ways. So thanks 4447 for bringing the never before posted on AFK topic up again, you're serving us well.

It was meant to bring the issue into the mainstream of the forums by using a big name in the community. The issue was being mostly ignored or played down with no official comment from CCP. Two days after the Kain thread exploded it was in the notes of things they were looking to fix. Kain has probably tried to do more to fix AFK'ing in this game than anyone else. Not only that his AFK in my video was what got the issue onto CCP's patch notes. #onlyproductiveAFKer

Kain in particular has some very interesting ideas; as for the imperfects in general, they have the same goals as everybody just sometimes are a tad twisted. Each member genuinely has something different to provide to the team even though it doesn't look like it from the outside. I can assure you that the ego's they show in game are not the ones they show when working on the CPM. 44 if you need to chat then I am all ears and like I said, say whatever you want but keep names out of it. My 2 cents, this game is in a messed up place right now and everybody seems to be high on testosterone or something, bigging up some ego they feel they have. Maybe everybody just chilled out.
