You blued up with the rest of EU so you wouldn't have to fight in PC. That's no different to AFK;ing in pubs, except many people do it because they're bored of the game not because they're bad at it.

Despite the huge ISK and SP investment. The logistics dropship gets you no points when people spawn in...Then there's the fact that players could use assault dropships to get points on their own finally, and if not... Well, they should simply know better than to trust blue dots on their missile turrets. There's tons of things players could get awarded for and players love that, it shows in other games, so that's one thing that could be done.
