I want fighters but i rather see the DSes balanced first (WP/SP is neccisary, in my opinion the DS is the biggest inbalance, think I`m wrong? dare you to spec into them), if they give us a double combo then everyone knows my reply: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvsboPUjrGc |

Two things
A: Pilot suit? That's going to be CRUNKKK *tiny tina's voice*
B: According to everything i have found so far there are going to be a new type of tank (minimitar tanks), a new level of tanks/lavs/dropships (standard, advanced, and proto, which means the proto we have now will become advanced) and also there will be Assault Dropships that have pilot-mounted guns on them ^-^ of which i will be specing into |

Also, I hope the front mounted turret is able to be aimed. Missiles could require a lock, but other turrets should always be aimed forwards with the ability to tilt them up and down with the right stick. This would add some use to the camera control there. |

my reply: huge pain here for direct fire turrets, I`ve gotten used to triage lock on from a DS but direct fire using R3? ooo, I`m thinking it would be a strafe and A2A but not a A2G. |

TBH, flying vehicles ruin infantry gameplay, since most of the maps in dust lack any serious cover from aerial fire. The fact that most lettered objectives in the game are out in the open and prone to being covered from the air means unless more people spec into AV, flying vehicles in pub matches are going to win 90% of the time.
So.. yeah. If they give flying vehicles better weapons, they better have less tank. A vehicle that can sit above an objective and rain hell down is a portable orbital, and should not exist. |

Good ole days. Red lining them and then flying into the red zone to squish them while my gunners blasted them to bits with a proto missile launcher. Sitting on top of the towers and sniping while the DS gunners spammed missiles. I may cry.

I have to ask you, have you ever flown a dropship? They have barely more Hp than a standard LAV, all you need to take down one is a barely decent forge gunner. |

Everything that is non-infantry ruins infantry gameplay. Tanks ruin infantry gameplay amd dropsjips are much more easier to take out than a tank. |

The statement you just made
" flying vehicles in pub matches are going to win 90% of the time." shows something of a lack of information on the subject. I guarantee you anyone on this forum can attest to the fact that 90% of the time when they see someone call in a drop ship it lasts somewhere between 0 seconds to a minute.
I'm worry but the frequency by which you proclaim dropships are raining unstoppable death from the sky is clearly nonexistent. Dropships in any game are a rarity. Lasting longer than a minute makes them more so, and surviving an entire match makes them a unicorn. Now factor in the likely hood that they got any kills or even any warpoints and...
yeah.
Sorry but reality is the inverse of your statement. Flying vehicles in pub matches are going to wasted 90% of the tune by free AV which every blueberry in the world has access to. Any time you see otherwise is simply because they were too busy being shot by tanks or Proto suits to bother swapping out their fittings
PS by the same token the entirety of infantry has LOS on aerial vehicles 90% of the time. |

In all seriousness, aerial vehicles drop easily to competent AV players, and even only slightly competent ones with Militia Forge Guns due to the fact that aerial vehicles suffer from exactly what you say infantry suffer from: no cover. An HAV or LAV can drive behind a building, rock, or hill pretty rapidly. There's virtually no way for a Dropship hit once by AV to get away from the second shot before getting taken down. |

I mean, it should do a lot of damage as a Heavy AV weapon, but I think the round could really stand to be a bit slower so it isn't hilariously easy to hit even fast-moving airborne targets. |
