So.. yeah. If they give flying vehicles better weapons, they better have less tank. A vehicle that can sit above an objective and rain hell down is a portable orbital, and should not exist. I have to ask you, have you ever flown a dropship? They have barely more Hp than a standard LAV, all you need to take down one is a barely decent forge gunner.
militia* forge gunner
0 SP, like 2k ISK required lol. |

The statement you just made
" flying vehicles in pub matches are going to win 90% of the time." shows something of a lack of information on the subject. I guarantee you anyone on this forum can attest to the fact that 90% of the time when they see someone call in a drop ship it lasts somewhere between 0 seconds to a minute.
I'm worry but the frequency by which you proclaim dropships are raining unstoppable death from the sky is clearly nonexistent. Dropships in any game are a rarity. Lasting longer than a minute makes them more so, and surviving an entire match makes them a unicorn. Now factor in the likely hood that they got any kills or even any warpoints and...
yeah.
Sorry but reality is the inverse of your statement. Flying vehicles in pub matches are going to wasted 90% of the tune by free AV which every blueberry in the world has access to. Any time you see otherwise is simply because they were too busy being shot by tanks or Proto suits to bother swapping out their fittings
PS by the same token the entirety of infantry has LOS on aerial vehicles 90% of the time. |

Everything that is non-infantry ruins infantry gameplay. Tanks ruin infantry gameplay amd dropsjips are much more easier to take out than a tank.
It's ok this game would be more fun with less variety right guys?
guys?...
IDK, sub-machine guns are ruining my assault rifle play. They have the edge in ALL CQC! Really they shouldn't even be in game. I mean, where's the skill in that????

called in my new 'dragon' Myron, landed sideways and lost my ship, so I havn`t tested it yet, but it has just under the sheild recharge rate of an Ehyx and has 6.6k HP total, proto guns. |

In all seriousness, aerial vehicles drop easily to competent AV players, and even only slightly competent ones with Militia Forge Guns due to the fact that aerial vehicles suffer from exactly what you say infantry suffer from: no cover. An HAV or LAV can drive behind a building, rock, or hill pretty rapidly. There's virtually no way for a Dropship hit once by AV to get away from the second shot before getting taken down. |

And that's all it takes is 2-3 forge gun shots. Even militia lol

I mean, it should do a lot of damage as a Heavy AV weapon, but I think the round could really stand to be a bit slower so it isn't hilariously easy to hit even fast-moving airborne targets. |
