I can wear starter gear and get the top of the team 90% of the time. You just got to play and get better. Protogear doesnt help as much as people think.

It really isn't, sides lots of people run in standard or lower gear just to keep costs down. The problem here isn't the game, it's that your too lazy to put time into the game so you can get the good stuff

Protogear doesnt help as much as people think. its not a game of skill.its about who has the better gear. they need to fix the huge gap that new players have imo the skill gap is deliberate, but the game seeks to minimize its impact by only allowing you to only spec into a certain role so far, once you've completely specc'ed into a role your only choice is to find a new role to skill into. This means that if you put the time and the effort in you can easily become as good as anyone who's been playing for months in your chosen role.

There is your problem you dont think you can do well therefore are doomed to fail i can kill adv and some proto guys with standard suit and guns you just got to get a advantage this could be getting the jump on them, flanking them while pinned down or even something as simple as the high ground, sure people running proto are hard to kill at best but it is not a I win button. A good chunk of dust is knowing what to attack and when, ill put it this way if you are in cover and a tank pulls up behind the cover do you A: stay in cover and hope they dont notice you, B: Run like hell, or C: run out shooting at it and get very dead very quickly. A or B are acceptable answers. It is a simular situation with fighting more powerful suit if you engage at a disadvantage you are doing it wrong, there is a saying if you are in a fair fight you are doing it wrong Basicly this game is not impossible and if that is your mentality you are simply lazy or unwilling to adapt at which point you will find New Eden will chew you up and spit you out, Welcome to New Eden enjoy your stay!!
