Ive posted a few threads about MCCs used on gas planets that basically follow this concept. A largeer MCC with landing pads and stuff that ferry troops to the floating facility or to the enemy MCC to destroy. The trick is to make it big enough to be able to have a battle on it. But not too big. |

C) Dropship Landing Pads - Situated on the top of the MCC, these act just like the Vehicle Bay, except the Dropships come from the inside out of hatches to be parked on the pads.
In the future, with Player-Owned MCCs, it may be possible to fit more utility rooms, making the MCC a valuable asset, and not a semi-automated objective.
Or open the entirety of the map, add eve pilots to the MCCs and give them guns. Let the games begin.

Basically, what we need is to make them the full 300 meters stated originally, because right now we have a placeholder that's about 150 meters, if that.
Then make them like Battlefield 2142 Titans.

I'll agree we need to make them larger, more imposing, and more capable.
I find it amusing that people don't want to be able to fire from them, but it's about as valid tactic as Sniping (Railgun, or Sniper Rifle Versions) But with little ability to move yourself. (The MCC Pilot will eventually be able to move the MCC slowly I would hope.
Raining Death from on-high is a viable tactic. but make the guns have excessive spread, and minimal (or no) zoom.. so all you take is pot shots. Good for suppressive firepower, but lacks any accuracy. |

ppl don't need to be given more reasons to spend all match fighting from the redline, I support the carrier idea, but im farking over playing the wake island map and don't want to see every match in dust become wake island. |
