Every time there has been a reset I have watched merc's BEG for the next reset because they put SP where they shouldn't of.
So my question is will you be strong enough to focus your Respec in to mastering your main role and bust out Proto day 1 or will you just become a jack of all trade stuck in 3 type II's? |

You'll see a propenderance of alts playing this month. Need as many test accounts as possible for next build. |

I will go proto... in a weapon system (perhaps two), but probably only advanced in suits. I love where my support skills are right now and dont plan on changing that. |

I used the Dust Fitting Tool and realized I'm a glass cannon.......... I would need to have about 1-2 million more SP before I can have a decent proto that doesn't die. Other than that, my damage is fine with duloviles tearing suits apart.
I also wasted tons of SP on weapons I'll never use mainly pistols, nova knives, shotguns, and something else. |

I'm starting to put a sheet together listing what skills i'm gonna spec into and how far. first four i'm definitely maxing are combat engineering, whatever the cpu increase is called, field mechanics and shield control. other skills i have a rough idea of how they're going to turn out, but despite all the crap they've had i am stll speccing dropships, no respec is taking away my pinata |

Same. I am basicly copying down where I have my skills put. For the most part I like where mine are at, I simply will remove some of the weapons I have skilled into.
Shield Control is a kitten due to the x3. I am only at L3 right now. I *should* max it out when we respec but I will lose out on some other skills I have now. |

Yes. Because the best thing we can all do right now is test an obsolete system so that months from now we can start making threads about the good old days back in the chromosome or whatever build this is when you really had to train your skills, yes sir, not like these skills we have today. You kids and your skill trees.
Then again. Wonder what happens when you hit vigor level five, and endurance level five... ? Do you get a Rimmugygur? |

I will build up my core again, max shield, max shield regen, max armor, some extra stamina, some extra recovery. After building up my core, I will test out different dropsuits, weapons, and equipment with my army of alts to research and find out what is best for me. I will wait for the crying for nerfs and buffs to finish, and once everything has been solidified, then I will spec fully into my chosen weapon and dropsuit. |

If it anything it should reduce the current mayhem of pubstomping. Hopefully all these blueberries have realized their skill dispersment mistakes and up their gear to something they can actually kill somebody with. I hope to see less Sniper morons who thought this was call of duty and sniping was easy cake. I hope to see a lot more AV specialists, and Heavy's. I hope more dropship pilots take to the skies.
Can't say I'm too excited for the inevitable influx of tankers. Nor can I get myself excited for the current QQ Heavy's switching to assault because apparently they think we've got it easy
(Heavy's have their role and so do we, I just don't want the heavy to be completely non existent next build, you guys are a vital part of any team) |

Yes, I think there will be lots out there. The best part is they won't have the core skills to keep them up and little money from running a suit that isn't supported by skill. I wish the market was live so I could buy a lot of proto suits to sell when demand shoots up.
I will not spec into anything proto except in shields and armor. I this not worth it. I do just as well and make more ISK is standard and advanced. Proto does not appeal to me at all. |

I will probably be around the 4-4.5M mark, and yes, i will be rocking Proto, with proto tank. i might be stuck with a militia assault rifle, but i will most assuredly stick around long enough to use it.
Maybe weaponry 5 so i can slap on a complex damage mod or two so even a militia rifle is brutal. |

What makes you think anyone will have enough SP to get into proto?
They're revamping the whole skill tree, might very well mean that proto suits have some nasty skill requirements. |

I'm actually gonna put my money on "no" because no matter what you do, it's not feasible to run around in Protosuits if you can't make a profit, and I doubt that most players who'd suddenly switch to them are good enough to turn out a profit using them. |

I for one look forward to the influx of new proto players. Proto should be saved for corp battle IMO because the gear is critical there. The 2 extra slots are nice but rarely decide engagements.
Bad proto players are the reason I can pay the bills. The more there are the more I make. |

Put it this way, alot of people will go "yay I can get proto straight away" spend all their SP on it then realize, "damn...that cost me like 2 mill sp out of my 3-4 mill (about the range of anyone not a vet I'd say) And I still need to get my mods, circuity, combat engineering, my weapon skills, field mechanics shield control... |

You always need to start with your basic foundation skills like those that effect Electronics, Power Grid, Shields, Armor and so on then worry about suits. Other wise like others have put it, they are glass cannons. |

I plan on putting at least 2/3rds of my SP into core skills (level 4 most of them, 5 where appropriate), then spending the remainder slowly as I figure out what has changed. I'm actually looking forward to spending hours planning out my character sheet, a bad habit (?) I acquired from playing Tabletop RPGs.
Blindly rushing proto just seems like such a terrible idea. Since the stats got flattened, proto suits are only really good if you have the core skills to make the most of the marginal stat increases. But for all we know stats might get diversified again in Uprising.
Maybe we'll even get a semi-competent matchmaking system...
