+1 Heavenly Daughter. At the beginning of a match, just after landing on the ground from the MCC I got sniped from the far end of the map by her. I was like "WTF!? No one is even on the ground yet!".....

Of course, all in good fun - and props to these folks for being better than me. Smokin' has a great name and I laugh everytime I even think of it.

CHICUBS .......not because of anything he's done in game or anything he's done to me personally .. He's an excellent Heavy and I'm sure he's a swell guy . NO ! The reason is that he is a Northsider ! And as a SouthSider I can not suffer for him to live !

All top class Heavies are my rivals. It's fun to see which one of us will come out on top in a 1 on 1 gun fight.

I know I'm nobody important or significant in the universe of New Eden, and I maintain that mentality throughout my engagements and actions while here.

Rival? What does that even mean?

I have a lot of names I recognize that I like when they're on my side, or don't when they're on the opponent's side, but it's only for that match, for that battle, for that contract.

I could list a lot of names of people I've been killed by a lot, or that I've killed a lot, but being from Asian servers I learned something very valuable.

When I first started this game, I played on empty maps for days on end of 1v1, 1v2, 2v2. I learned the names, I came to know the people. I connected with most of them honestly. On day one I would have said "miahus" was my rival. But we've become very good personal friends, even beyond the game. Nod Keras and shadow spiritz as well. We honestly had unspoken "no-fire" agreements where we would see each other, walk up, shoot past, and keep going. I can't recall the number of "larger" 4v4 or 6v6 matches where shadow would just let me decimate his whole team while he stood idly by, or the same in reverse.

We would find the most dangerous people we could and say, "I don't want to fight that guy... I think I'll talk to him and invite him to a squad to run some matches." (I have no idea how I got on anyone's list as a dangerous opponent or even strong asset). And our bonds and connections grew and expanded.

With the first two, miahus and Nod Keras, we commonly squadded up and started learning maps, practicing movement tactics. Even engaged in psychological shadow/guerrilla warfare against opponents. We would purposely drag out Skirmish encounters to be nearly 40-50 min in length just by following opponents around and seeing who could get the closest without ever being noticed (Keras always won).

Then we met psycho, Autolycus (to whose children I sent Christmas presents just last year) and Felonoius Assault. We were introduced to a small group on the US servers through those squads the way the old mechanic worked and SL would decide the battle servers. I met cSRT, Squagga, Fundies, Denak, Heavenly Daughter, Gem Cutter, Gsciple, and a dozen others (I apologize for leaving your names out everyone). We became CrimeWave.

Things moved on, we expanded. We worked WITH former opponents and made relationships and connections. Sometimes strenuous but we all recognized our place and what we're actually doing here. We moved on to where we felt we were best suited to go. I still run with anyone I can at any time they're available. I love running about with Tuck and Purescar still in Crimewave. I love running full GAC ATF (Asian Tactical Force?) teams with shadow, Yuuki, Akizora, and others to prove how bad my Japanese is.

I've fought against and with the best snipers, tankers, assaults, heavies, logis, and scouts in the game, hands down, period. SENTANCE!

There was a time "ryo minmatar" was a name I dreaded, and would purposely seek him out for 1v1 engagements. I would do the same to DJINN Medic if I ever saw him on the other side, or run side-by-side holding hands with the guys if they were on my own.

In recent battles I've screamed over comms about kicking in the teeth of opponents I've just earlier that day had very mature and cordial conversations with about what's happening in their world (I'm looking at you Shar Kharn and Quickgloves in Local).

Maybe my mentality isn't meant for New Eden. Maybe it goes against everything the harsh hostile universe we play in or world we live in, but I will say this:
I'm a mercenary. I have a job to do when I go out on the battlefield. Sometimes it feels good. Sometimes it hurts. A lot of times I die... a lot. But the moment I'm off, I have no problem walking to the other side and extending an honest hand of friendship and brotherhood to whoever stands on the other side after a hard day of combat, whether I've won or loss, and saying to them "Good fight".

Everyone who Uses a weapon capable of killing my dropship, and turret installations, I have this particular hatred of turret installations, especially the blaster installations.

Until we shot someone on your squad you stopped dancing and started to rip us apart.

Good games and we didint care if we lost. Our squad did got most of the kills and points on those rounds on our side.

Everytime we looked up at the scoreboard we made bets who goes down first and who gets the first kill

I must say you played very good but matchmaking did suck sometimes for us and there was nothing my side could do to really challenge your team.

redline snipers. I tend to buy a special dropship, and custom fit it just for killing them.

I don't know about rivals, but every time I enter a match where the Ahmadee Mercenaries (Or however you spell it) are on the field. Usually I get stomped into the ground like nobodies business. I've even had matches where the Imperfects or some other big name were on the field and had some good games.

But those AM guys just ROFLSTOMP over everything.

Was it fun?

To be honest, not really. I enjoy a good fight, I enjoy getting beat. But being redlined within like 3 minutes and then getting murdered by tactical squads just waiting behind cover for you to try to find a place to run or drive out from the red line got kinda lame. Everyone switched to sniper so it was just me and a couple others dying again and again trying to drive or run to find a way to get behind them and cap a point.

But then again I wasn't with a squad, so there wasn't any coordinated defense.

Don't really have a rival. As a dedicated logi/support, I'm pretty much mincemeat for any heavy or sniper. lol
I just try to keep my team and squad going and earn those WPs. :)
Though I will say, anytime I see Hellstorm, SVER, Outer.Heaven, or Nyain San/Chan...I know my death toll will be even more spectacularly atrocious! Love it when they're on my team, though. Much easier to stay alive ;)

Geeze, where to begin? Ninja nerfs to game mechanics without a shred of consideration to player feedback or acknoledgement via patch notes so we can protect the isk/aur/time invested in said game mechanic, taking priority over superficial aspects to the game over core issues, cloak and dagger business practices behind a mask of intended transparency through a figure head CPM that was hand picked instead of player elected, little to no concern to bugs that aren't monetary, arrogance towards the fan base to the point that they stop sharing what they're working on and hope for us to blindly follow their "master plan" but instead give off the impression that they have no idea what they're doing.... that's all I can come up with right now. I hope you get the idea.

Snipers... I get hit so often I feel they are looking for me :( So I go looking for them.

Gem Cutter and I used to have a lot fun but I don't think he plays on American servers? I never see him, which is alright with me since he is one of the best and I can roam around without him killing everyone :)

But I can't die
