Minigun and forge gun arent enough. yeah ya got the dumb fire rocket in the works, but still, thats not enough. my suggestion is to make your existing guns bigger, Laser rifle to cannon, for example. also handheld blasters. |

Sorry, but I disagree here. The heavy drop-suit class is already a walking tank, you don't need bigger weapons. It is already over powered enough. You don't give a juggernaut class a bigger and better weapon. You do and everyone will use heavy drop-suit class. I already think that having such a powerful heavy/juggernaut drop-suit class will be the down fall to this game. Won't be long before everyone starts playing with that drop-suit class because you can't compete with it in any other drop-suit. |

LOL no. GEK's melt them, and protosuits for every other suit scale up better to heavy. |

I'd kind of like to see an AV heavy laser. Good at tearing through a vehicle's shields, but not as good against it's armor. You could discourage it's use against infantry by giving it a charge-up time before the laser fires. |

it aint about bigger guns, its about different guns that do damage differently. a flamethrower would be close range powerhouse, but not at medium or long range. and the suit everyone plays is assault. if there was only 2 light weapons, everyone would say that the game needs more light weapons. so yes, give heavys more guns |

Kind of sounded like he was asking for more powerful guns. If they add more different guns of the same kind of power, then I am alright with that. I still think that everyone will eventually start gravitating to the heavy suits though. If they don't use the heavy drop suit for the ridiculous armor, then they will use it for the guns that can only be used with heavy suits. I purchased a heavy suit and it was only to try out the beast heavy machine/mini gun. Had no idea about he armor at the time. I think as more people look at the stats and really learn, they will. Trust me, they will. People love taking advantage of things like that in a game. |

heavys are already in possession of the strongest weapons in the game I can destroy anyones suit with an assault forge gun in one shot the rectiles are huge so its easy to hit and the weapon do not splash it is super precise with splash. Honestly if you think I am claiming op i am but that doesn't mean i want it changed ;) I love blowing away tanks and standard assault suits with dead precision. |

Few things I would like to see: Heavy version of GL: Minmatar artillery parallel Av or Ah based on variant largely due to AoE or lacktherof. Opposite of the forge gun in that it fires immediately, but then requires a long load time before the next shell is ready. Fires in an arc, small magazine (3-4 rounds), less damage than forge gun, especially against shields (being explosive).
Laser guided rocket launcher -Analog to torpedoes Extremely slow missile that is guided by the user after launch (Decimator in Unreal?) it can actually be shot down by players, though detonates upon destruction. User holds ADS to activate laser, missile will head in last set direction. If user dies, missile disarms and drops harmlessly (to prevent friendly fire/collateral damages).

Yea, but games that are not well balanced don't last long. You like the class to be over powered so you can beast on people, but do you think you are the only one who wants to get a lot of kills? This is just proving what I said earlier about how this will be the reason this game is going to die out early. You either play with a specific class (heavy class) and do well or you chose another drop suit class and get owned by team of heavies. You can keep the beast gun that comes with the class cause that ain't the problem, it is the 650 armor that makes the class a juggernaut that is the problem. Shield takes long enough to drop on a suit, but shield and 650 armor. Come on guys. I really don't see how you can even defend this class when it is this ridiculous. |

You obviously are ignoring the drawbacks of the heavy suit, or you are just spewing misinformation based on something you know nothing about.
Heavy Suit pros. 1. Highest armor allows it to take a beating. 2. Can use heavy weapons designed to devastate on the battlefield within their optimal ranges and roles. 3. Can use all weapon available, but not at the same time.
Heavy Suit cons. 1. Slowest movement can be easily caught/outrun by all other suits. 2. Slowest turn can be out strafed by any other suit that gets close. 3. Can't jump over most obstacles all other suits clear with ease. 4. Biggest scan profile makes it the easiest to detect. 5. Worst scan resolution makes it easier to for others to evade detection. 6. Lowest scan radius forces heavy to have to be closer than others to possibly detect hidden opponents. 7. No equipment slot. So no drop uplinks, no nano hives, no repair tools, no nano-needles, no remote explosives, etc.
I intentionally left out the things that could be equipped to any suit like armor reps, shield modules, etc.
I don't see the Heavy Suit as being the go to suit for all occasions. I think most players who try a heavy with weapons other than FG and HMG will find that it will actually limit them more than the assault suit.
Also, There are no classes in Dust. You can train into anything you want. |

Come on now. If I am a walking tank, you think it matter that I am a little bit slow? These cons of yours are laughable. Slowest movement is counter by the ability for anyone to call in a vehicle. Slowest turn is countered in the options menu by increasing sensitivity. You talking about jumping over obstacles, yea that is "real" important (sarcasm). Scan simply doesn't matter because like I said, and like you stated, "they can take a beating." You surprising a heavy and shoot at him. Armor is so OP that you run out of bullets before damaging armor any at all. Then while you are reloading, he regenerate this shield that you worked so hard to shoot down, then blows you away with the minigun/LMG. Anything you say I can counter it bro. You know why, because I'm right man. Aye, keep coming with the lame excuses though because I want to prove to all of you that it is OP and this is the best way to do. #NEXT |

sensitivity doesnt matter, ure still gonna turn slow. my sensitivity is 75 and ppl still jump around me like crazy. it IS important to b able to jump over things......lol scan is important bc whether it b 2 guys, or a squad, or the whole team, the enemy knows ure coming and we cant find u as easily. it sounds like ure butthurt about getting wrecked by heavies bc u havent found a way to kill them yet.
as i said in another thread, no one feels sorry for u if ure too dumb to figure it out.

Killing heavies is hard? Yea not so much explosive damage eats heavies.
My MD turns them into gooey piles of clone goo as long as I play smart and dont chsrge tldown the stream of death flowing from the hmg. And even repping them takes forever even with an upgraded rep.
Aldo I will always use my logi suit becaue I love me some equipment slots and high and low slots. This is not the type of game where one class can rule them all.
Lots of heavy mean slow moving walls of death calling in the lavs? Easier to kill than their heavy passengers. I can pop a mlt lav with two shots from my md easier to get direct hits on.

Your not a little slow your a lot slow so when you go to move across the map you get hit by 6 assaults using OP GEK'S ( they realy need to cut the damage output on the assault rifle Because there range is to far and makes it hard to move around the map and get in close enough to hit them so please cut there damage down so I can live long enough to get close to them.<-- See what I did there?)

^ Issue isn't Gek damage, it's stacking weapon upgrades with no downsides. Known bug. Assaults have more medium slots to do this with than the heavy and scout do.
That aside, more weapons would mean more diversity and likely less people using LMG's. What's not to like? |

I'm not butthurt, lol. I'm just stating the obvious, something people on this forum have a hard time doing. If you read my previous post carefully before posting your own you would see that I play with the heavy class. I do so to prove to hard headed people that the class is OP. I have had a lot lot of fun running over teams almost single handed, but fair is fair and the class should be balanced. I am not a new to FPS games. I'm a veteran to PC and console games. Now, about your sensitivity being on 75 and you are still having trouble with people hopping around is hard to believe. Are you playing with a mouse? The reason I ask this is because the mouse sensitivity is crazy low and there are already dozens of people posting forums and asking for something to be done. If you are not playing with a mouse, then you are just not as good a gamer as you think you are. Sorry if that offends you, but I play with a controller and I have my sensitivity slightly higher than default and I lay waste to fast moving light vehicles and the jumpers that plague you so, lol. People try to run me over, try to shoot me with vehicle mounted guns while trying to evade my return fire, ect. In the end, they all fall. Now, I am pretty good at shooters, but I am no beast or anything. It is the class. I don't want them to destroy the class with they balance it, that is why I think only the armor should be adjusted. You can have the gun all you want. I'm no stranger to playing smart and a good gun won't help you much. Games should be won off of skill and not classes. Guess I'm a rare bread for believing in this. Been hoping to find a game that I could play and have fun on every now and then when I get tired of Battlefield. I was really thinking this would be the game. Guess I'll have to keep looking because not having balanced classes will kill this game before the final version sees light. But hay, you guys keep defend your overpowered advantage in the game because sooner or later everyone will be using them and it won't be your advantage anymore. I've seen it happen in other games. CoD MW2 is a good example. Everyone knew stuff like Commando was OP and should not be used, yet everyone used it anyway. Another is the P90. All you veterans know this. Really hoping Dust don't fall victim.
Went out and found a vid of a guy using a heavy class. I'll let the vid speak for itself. Be sure to remember what some of these guys are saying about it being slow and all that other crap.

I'd like to see a heavy pulse laser, it would be like the HMG over heat VERY fast, but shoot very accurately and have decent range with low damage. |

I am new about 10 days in. I wish I can use the HMG and Swarm Canon (i think is called) just dont like that the when a tank shows up the HMG really doesnt do any dammage to it. Forge gun unless its Assault is too slow and the Swarm Cannon doesnt lock onto people. Just wish I can use both on one suit since one weapons is for people the other is for vehicles. |
