Honestly if you think I am claiming op i am but that doesn't mean i want it changed ;) I love blowing away tanks and standard assault suits with dead precision.
Yea, but games that are not well balanced don't last long. You like the class to be over powered so you can beast on people, but do you think you are the only one who wants to get a lot of kills? This is just proving what I said earlier about how this will be the reason this game is going to die out early. You either play with a specific class (heavy class) and do well or you chose another drop suit class and get owned by team of heavies. You can keep the beast gun that comes with the class cause that ain't the problem, it is the 650 armor that makes the class a juggernaut that is the problem. Shield takes long enough to drop on a suit, but shield and 650 armor. Come on guys. I really don't see how you can even defend this class when it is this ridiculous.
You obviously are ignoring the drawbacks of the heavy suit, or you are just spewing misinformation based on something you know nothing about.
Heavy Suit pros.
1. Highest armor allows it to take a beating.
2. Can use heavy weapons designed to devastate on the battlefield within their optimal ranges and roles.
3. Can use all weapon available, but not at the same time.
Heavy Suit cons.
1. Slowest movement can be easily caught/outrun by all other suits.
2. Slowest turn can be out strafed by any other suit that gets close.
3. Can't jump over most obstacles all other suits clear with ease.
4. Biggest scan profile makes it the easiest to detect.
5. Worst scan resolution makes it easier to for others to evade detection.
6. Lowest scan radius forces heavy to have to be closer than others to possibly detect hidden opponents.
7. No equipment slot. So no drop uplinks, no nano hives, no repair tools, no nano-needles, no remote explosives, etc.
I intentionally left out the things that could be equipped to any suit like armor reps, shield modules, etc.
I don't see the Heavy Suit as being the go to suit for all occasions. I think most players who try a heavy with weapons other than FG and HMG will find that it will actually limit them more than the assault suit.
Also, There are no classes in Dust. You can train into anything you want.
