Z in decent tanks covering him. xproto running a laser in an advanced suit (props to him for finally ditching his proto suit for pub matches, at least temporarily). What REALLY was the best part of the match though, and really made me laugh, was Sleepy Zan in a heavy suit! Oh man that was good! I was so shocked when I saw his name on that heavy suit that I had to try to SMG him (unfortunately I pulled it out after he'd already spotted me...). Sorry if you had new guys running in the match, didn't notice them. I got tired of getting randomly spawned in front of or right next to the tanks so I dropped (no point in spawning in endlessly into instant death, free fit or not), but when I left we were holding them off pretty decent considering we had no true AV players on our side that I was aware of. To Mr. Z & O. Z: Nice tank teamwork, very well played. You let G-Slick get a little too far out of your ability to cover him a few times though, and with only 4000 ish shields that's dangerous with militia forges and swarms abundant. Here's hoping I get to see his tank trying to go solo in a match. To xprotoman: you were getting a little too close to people with that laser dude, gotta sit back and cut people with it from a distance. I know you're used to going in guns-a-blazin', but that doesn't work with the laser. If it wasn't for the two tanks right outside the entrance to the compound I'd have followed you when you fell back to recover. Use your sidearm when you get too close when using the laser rifle. The SMG now trumps the AR at close range in almost every situation if you can aim it. As long as the enemy isn't a shotgunner you should have no issue dropping people with the SMG, I know full well how much skill you've got. And lastly, to everyone hating on the IMPs. Yes some of them make poor decisions, and some of them make comments that are ridiculous, but that is because they are people too. They all have human flaws just like the rest of you, but because they trounce you so often you have taken to doing everything you can to pick them apart as much as possible and exploit even the most mundane things they do and turn it into a huge scandal. They have strategy and work well with each other because they know what they are doing. I'd like to request you guys quit your QQ and grief threads over them, it's pointless drivel that serves no purpose other than to further increase their infamy. With as many of you out there who wish they would crash and burn, I'm amazed with how daft you can be as to why they are so well known in the first place. I wrote this thread for two reasons. First, because the IMPs are running a lot of tanks and I know this strategy is gonna generate a lot of hate threads so I wished to try to preempt them with something sensible. And second, I wished to try to simmer down all the hate aimed their way. I've squadded with a few of them from time to time and they don't cheat (as for all of the turbo controller BS I neither know nor really care) as is the popular consensus opinion for most people who get trampled by them. They have skilled up to massive extents, sure. They have specced specifically to suit their best playstyle, which only makes sense. They have teamwork and skill, of course. If the didn't, they'd be just as easy to trounce as the next group of blue dots. Instead of blaming them for cheating or using unfair tactics (as I'm sure the above tanks bonanza will inevitably draw out), remember that they have no advantage that you can't get. Sure, they are using really good tactics to pound people in public matches. But wouldn't you do the same if you had the opportunity? I know plenty of you use proto suits and nothing else in pub matches, I see all of you spawn campers and redline snipers and those of you railgun sniping with a tank from across the map. These are all tactics and many of them are down right despicable, but they are valid tactics. If the enemy is dumb enough to endlessly spawn on a camped position, they have it coming if someone camps that location. It's not honorable, but when your team is down 20-45 it might just be enough to turn the battle around. Now, I'm ready for xproto to dis me for telling him how to play, for ReGnUM to troll a bit, for the community to rage at me, to probably recieve no response from either Zitro, to hear G rant at me for calling his tank sucky, and to become a pariah for even suggesting this senseless mob let go of the hate they have lovingly nurtured for these people for so long. HAVE AT YOU!

And most of the hate on imperfects can be landed on the feet of a few of them - not them as a whole. One of them in a earlier thread helped me realize how wrong it was to generalize the imperfects. It's not there fault they have a few people who think too highly of themselves and devolve every thread they touch into a whose who of ego stroking. Most of them really do want to help this game to succeed and they just do it in there own way.

Just trying to be friendly, but obviously you have too much ego clogging your ears to listen to someone you don't know. As for the "rage quitting", might want to talk to some of your corpmates about that. As I recall, not long ago one of them said that there is no shame in leaving a match you spawn into halfway through that is a loosing prospect. Not only that, I've seen you guys doing it in game personally. I tried to play it to see if it was worth attempting (I came in with around 30/30 clones, I forget who was ahead or by how much) but couldn't spawn in the clear after 5 tries and only had 7 kills, so I gave it up for a lost cause and quit wasting money. I easily could have stayed and ran free fits, but what would the point be? Play against a good team in a free fit when I can't even spawn in safely, or move on to the next match which hopefully is on a larger map and gives me a better chance of living long enough to see my surroundings before I start getting shot at. Hmmm... die pointlessly and repeatedly with no chance to fight back, or try again.... I wonder what is the SMART thing to do.... You can call it "rage quitting" or whatever else you like, couldn't care less. I call it playing it smart. Peace

Officer gear and permanent LAV have only just recently came into play so doesn't really count for anything before they dropped. Neither are legit arguments.
