I agree. It would be a shame for this new feature to turn someone away from the game. This change only effect large corporations (Smaller corporations will not be hindered by texting in the Corp chat room) and can be quickly solved through Ydubbs' suggestion. Spending two dollars now would guarantee that your great grandchildren would be able to "clan talk".

In short, I hope this changes doesn't rub people the wrong way. I don't think it is a fight worth pursuing. Take care,

Yet, what i expect now are the "audio chat room" pack where one individual will be able to afford a UVT for everyone that logs in the room. Corp or Not. Much like a built-in mumble or TS.

Corp wallets would be much improved if players could donate ISK or AUR to corporations of thier choosing. This would allow players who won't or can't pay for UVT to still be very active members in their corporation, while still allowing CCP to make money. Sorting out squads, discussing fits, random hilarity, etc. I really hope this is a glitch as this will either drive my guys onto third party comms or somewhere else. Considering how much awesome was deployed in this build it would be a shame if the marketing criminals tainted it. I have run dual comms before, and its a giant pain in the arse.

And despite being young, every member is valuable, so when you have a few players who are now forced out of the in-game chat it creates rifts both socially AND strategically as thats where a lot of discussions would go on. A game thats meant to be hardcore, then throws a spear into a key part of organized competitive play. Smart.

I like the squad idea, but to discuss strategies and ideas with the entire corp by typing.
