FYI: Nullsec alliances (the corps in particular that have a use for mercs) will probably organize their own teams in-game and not hire others that often.

that line of thinking will get alliances in trouble. I have been in nullsec for 6 years now and hear that a lot. At the same time i know lots of eve players playing dust and most of them are just average fps players. Thats okay its not their thing though. they can do pve and hisec play and enjoy dust.
nullsec will be so vast that nullsec alliances will be able to get away with average players much of the time. Put them up against an elite corp and they will be destroyed. Space ships above the planet aren't going to make any difference at that point.
in the end it all comes down to the cost/reward of planets and thats anyones guess now

Can I choose the individual mercs in the first 5 squads?
If so, here's my go at it.
Team 1: Imperfects. 1. ReGnUM 2. Omnipotens Zitro 3. Blondie Roads 4. Reaper (I don't recall the numbers at the end of his name)
Team 2: L.O.T.I.S
1. rebel scum22 2. Night7Mare 3. D Roc 4. Tech Ohm Eaven
Team 3: Crimewave
1. Gem Cutter 1,2,4: Anyone from his corp that Gem Cutter want's to back him up (seriously, dude is insanely good)
Team 4: Zion
1. Grimmers 2. Cross Atu 3. oOCrazyOo 4. Weezer
Team 5: Imperfects
1. Noc Tempre 2. G-Slick 3. Paran Tadec 4. Ludwig Van Beatdropin
After that, I'd go with a squad of Betamax of their choosing, a squad from SI of their choosing, a squad of Time Reversal, a squad of STB, and a squad of Hellstorm. |

Some of these lists are def lulz worthy. If only half the corps in this game knew of these things called "Corp Battles", or werent to scared to lose wiped money and actually just tried to play corp battles.
My list is IMPs and thats all. Obviously have proven they are good but they dont stop there, they want to continue to do corp battles and challenge themselfs, cant say that about any clans in this game really.
As for the other "top" clans out there honestly just means i havn't played you yet. When i say played i mean in a Corp Battle not in a team stacked pub.
As for my clan... i just wish we were decent :( |

1 Imperfects (The best gun game players imo) 1 Lotis (Overlord picked me I think so I have to reward him since I've seen these guys a lot) 1 SI (2nd in the tourny, have a few real solid gun game players and a good vehicles users but with the nerf on them it hurts) 1 Synergy (Did well in the tourney and do decent in pub matches) 1 Quebec guys (QC are always fun to run into in pub matches, really a solid team that isn't talked about much but should) 1 Pink fluffy bunnies (A very small amount of elite players that preform well) 1 Zion (Not necessarily the best skill wise but their grouping and staying together really stands out when I see them) 1 WTF (Haven't seen them in a while but preformed well in the tourney) 1 Team Alldin (Won the Tournament so obviously on my team) 1 Hellstorm (Decent corp and a challange but I'd hope they wouldn't back out)
Of course I'd have Overlord Ulath as the alliance leader since he seems like a genius.

Can we get some form of qualification behind your choices and ranking here?
I would like to see the processes of contextualization and rationalization of your choices. Just giving a list of names without the thought process behind it is a bit soulless and heartless. It is as pure of a form of dispossessed objectification I have seen for a while. |

Omni has already offered up his opinion. REgNum is an acceptable answer. we work for nullsec alliances its first come first to pay us isk. We have no desire to hold planets or sov so will never have to hire corps on our behalf. To follow on to that we are going to let nullsec alliances worry about getting enough teams/corps to take a planet we are just going to focus on the districts we are paid to take. this was more of a general question to get dust centric corps to see the big picture and realize what a small part of new eden the beta community really is
Funny, I think I have heard this strategy before. Where was that at???? Gosh, ...... who told me something REALLY, EXACTLY LIKE that?!?!?!?

"If you were a nullsec alliance attacking a planet what 10 teams would you pick?" Its 200 mill isk reward for a district win and 100 mill isk loss if you lose a district battle.
So there you have it what are your 10 teams? (imperfects can field 2 teams if we are included in your list) it's the kind of question where ask "I wonder who would ally with my corp" and where the eve politics style of play comes in. when we get friendly fire there's going to be a lot of "bad blood" because regnum ran over darkcloud or adski "accidentally" put a nade on cazaderon 3 times etc etc. be interesting to see I guess :) but I don't think it's going to come to "we can't get enough players to hold this" a few of these corps will swollow their pride and merge the most active / promising players to take it all. my concern is how much of the player pool will be taken up by a few corporations so a 1:1 corp battle over a planet will be required by launch and how many players will actually be playing. to answer the question though I would just look at the tournament results. maybe include stb but that's it. to much thought put into that. Just pick 10 teams to win the planet. They aren't mixed teams and aren't working for each other. They are under cotnract from nullsec alliance. so if people like/dont like each other its irrelevant. its a merc contract they get paid to do their job and thats it.
HEY, BEERS,

The three clans mentioned above can all field at least 3 excellent squads, (or even teams of 8) the cohesion of having larger groups wich know eachother and are used to playing with one another will in my opinion trump having slightly better players more "spread out" through many individual clans.

It is as pure of a form of dispossessed objectification I have seen for a while. More like it's a simple answer to a question that required no actual specifics in the response. Mine was more detailed because I wished to build the core teams that I believed would be most effective at working together in a particular role. I guess I'm just too big of a nerd to not want to plan it out and strategize about it. I may not be the top player here, but if I have a good squad I can top almost anyone with strategy (even if I'm not the one who gets the killing blow or I get killed in the process). Strategy is my main strength in this game.
Squad 1, full on attack squad. Squad 2, tactical strike squad. Squad 3, sniper support with one of the top snipers in the game. Squad 4, Back up attack squad with one of the top logistics players in the game for support. Squad 5, vehicle support.
The rest of the corp squads I picked can fill in any holes left open in the choices I made above.
And thanks for the compliment Reaper.
Edit: Give me the option to mix the corps together in their squads, and I could really work some magic. |

I can give them all a reason later, I didn't rank them in any order since some corps are really close and I'm probably a little biased towards some.
Edit: Not really sure why you are complaining though, every corp I picked was a top corp I saw in the tourny or a top corp I saw when I play solo. I'll probably update my list in about 12hrs, I do like having a reason for my choices. |

Like team A has to be AV, team B logi etc
Or is it hire the 10teams and you have no control over them For this question lets keep it simple and pick corps. Though if i really really had to i would probably do that and mix in corps to make the best teams. Since many corps have different strengths and weakness I dont think i could pick 10 tbh, i would end up with having less than 10 atm Pick as many as you can.
I cant keep it simple because each set of corps are different and are able to do everything or certain things well but il have crack at it
So in no particular order tbh so dont cry if your number 7 it doesnt mean a thing, also dont cry if you dont like my opinion
1. Imperfects - Winners of the dodgy beta tourny, can groundpound and tank, tactically sound and can do everything - TBH i really dont run into them that much so i can really only comment from the beta tourny and what i do see now n again
2. SI - Runners up in dodgy beta tourny, have mulitiple members who are a 'jack of all trades' but also members who are more dedicated to a specific role, basically can also do everything - Face everyday tbh so i know what they can do
3. Syn - Some tank drivers, some ground ppl, some AV, a mixed bag dont see too much of but overall can do everything and use armor tanks which are a rare thing tbh
4. PFB - Groundpound from what i see and are good at it, no tanks or AV i have seen but too small numbers wise
5. WTF - Groundpound also majority of the time like PFB, 1 tanker and 1 AV guy out of basic that ive seen, i would prob merge WTF and PFB tbh and move that tanker and AV guy to somehwere more useful surrounded by other likeminded guys
6. Zion - Maybe for the zerg rush and to fill in the gaps, they do try and have various ppl in different roles
Clan wise thats about it tbh
Ther is a few clans i have missed out because they are mainly useless as a whole, a few members maybe good enough to pull out and put with other clans or likeminded ppl
But i would prefer to mix the clans a little bit and have all tankers together supporting each other and the same with AV and logis etc but really would need a mixed bag with proper support and hope that each clan can do it themselves and also able to work with each other
But its all hypothetical anyways so dont get ya panties in a bunch
EDIT: I would like the abilty to remove certain memebers aswell if i could, so for example i may have in an extra clan if i could remove the idiots |
