This came up in discussion with a nullsec buddy and thought it would be interesting to ask the community. "If you were a nullsec alliance attacking a planet what 10 teams would you pick?" Its 200 mill isk reward for a district win and 100 mill isk loss if you lose a district battle.
So there you have it what are your 10 teams? (imperfects can field 2 teams if we are included in your list) |

Can you make a team have a role
Like team A has to be AV, team B logi etc
Or is it hire the 10teams and you have no control over them |

For this question lets keep it simple and pick corps. Though if i really really had to i would probably do that and mix in corps to make the best teams. Since many corps have different strengths and weakness |

The biggest problem you will face is after capturing to hold a planet. Which means you would require a minimum of 160 players to capture a planet and atleast 320 to hold to it. Zerg alliances dont count as zergs will be beaten easily. There is only one alliance at this point in time that can put up quality numbers to the best of my knowledge. |

You miss the point of the question. "Hire 10 merc teams/corps to take a planet for you". If you read the question at all you would know this. So answer the question and stop being a ******* idiot about it |

it's the kind of question where ask "I wonder who would ally with my corp" and where the eve politics style of play comes in. when we get friendly fire there's going to be a lot of "bad blood" because regnum ran over darkcloud or adski "accidentally" put a nade on cazaderon 3 times etc etc. be interesting to see I guess :)
but I don't think it's going to come to "we can't get enough players to hold this" a few of these corps will swollow their pride and merge the most active / promising players to take it all.
my concern is how much of the player pool will be taken up by a few corporations so a 1:1 corp battle over a planet will be required by launch and how many players will actually be playing.
to answer the question though I would just look at the tournament results. maybe include stb but that's it. |

to much thought put into that. Just pick 10 teams to win the planet. They aren't mixed teams and aren't working for each other. They are under cotnract from nullsec alliance.
so if people like/dont like each other its irrelevant. its a merc contract they get paid to do their job and thats it. |

I'd be very surprised if CCP goes with the game design direction for district capture that you suggest.
With some kind of simultaneous capture mechanic of all districts at the same time, it would get ridiculously expensive and the results would be randomized.
I'm guessing 1-3 matches will be fighting at any given time on a particular planet.
Think of a linear push district to district until the planet is captured. Inside districts there might be 2-3 paths through the district that might require multiple teams to push each one. |

Well if its 16v16 my list would be this:
3 teams of Imperfects 1 team of Pink.Fluffy.Bunnies 1 team of Synergy 1 team of What the French 1 team of SI 1 team of Tritan 1 team of Rift 1 team of Zion
In that order. The last three I would bring in on a whim.
It based off how many skilled players each corp can field as a team and their solo skill each player possesses. |

thanks omni this is how simple the question is. just pick 10 team (though 3 imperfect teams is really tight numbers ) |

In NO ORDER, these are the 8 corps who have their crap together the most in my playing experience. Belonging to any of them would be a great move, so these are the 8 I'd use if I were an alliance.
Planetary Response Organization (Tough SOBs to fight against) Zion (Solid, but too clean cut for my tastes) Imperfects (Absolutely lovable people) WTF (Seen them a little, but when I do pretty tough) SVER (Tough to fight against) Hellstorm (Fun to fight with or against) Crime Wave (Gem Cutter belongs to you guys right? What a sniper, can't even find him half of the time... Sorry if I am wrong about the affiliation. Even if Gem Cutter ain't one of you guys, I like when you're Blue...) Tritan Industries (Pretty tough)
-Now I will just go and look for wayward LogiBros to heal me....
--Also if you are a great corp and I left you out often, I probably did not play against or with you. |

0.0? I'd hire whoever is green. Which by the time we get to 0.0 will be very few. OB records might be a factor if said null sec entity has been blasting people off their planets from space... Tbh, even factional war will depend greatly on who is red and who is blue. Yeah, stating the obvious I know, but really, would you hire people you've spent 1-2 years fighting already, just because it's 0.0? |

Tony just pretend you are a nullsec allaince right now and pick 10 teams. Who you like/dislike is pointless when it comes to this stuff. That is part of the point i am trying to make. In dust there is no blue. |

Better question for you imperfects. Were you to need to hire 10 corps to attack on your behalf because you are tied up with other engagements, who would it be? Omni has already offered up his opinion. REgNum is an acceptable answer. |

we work for nullsec alliances its first come first to pay us isk. We have no desire to hold planets or sov so will never have to hire corps on our behalf. To follow on to that we are going to let nullsec alliances worry about getting enough teams/corps to take a planet we are just going to focus on the districts we are paid to take.
this was more of a general question to get dust centric corps to see the big picture and realize what a small part of new eden the beta community really is |

TBH, the level that IMPPP is at, we'd be getting the "get **** done" catagory of work. Sure, you can hire a 300 man scrub corp to fight whatever scrubs the other side is paying, but when you want **** to get done, they know who to call. |

Answer to this question is simple tbh the corps that do work in corp battles u send in
pubstomp corps need not apply sorry but when looking for results u look for results against organised opposition not how well ppl stack their team against randoms cuz ur not gonnna be facing randoms when taking a planet
I dont have 10 atm that i think can be guaranteed to get the job done but this is what i got so far
