Allright blast radius and splash damage has beeing nerfed on all missile turrets. (stats before and after the nerf) -Large fragmented ST-201 missiles: blast radius: 6.8m damage: 150HP
now: blast radius: 4.0m damage: 80HP
-small fragmented St-1: blast radius: 6.8m damage: 180
now: blast radius: 2.7m damage: 75HP
Seriously CCP? The turrets itself where fine the only thing that made them OP where the bonuses from skillbooks combined with damage mods. Well i go back to blaster cause you can take out infantry with that crap.

First of all missiles were just overall OP, Mr. vehicle specialist.
Second of all isn't the blaster meant for infantry in the first place? |

I know my large turrets have a 5m spalsh radius and the small has 2.5m radius but its the ******* point of a missile its an AOE weapon its like firing an RPG at someone
I dont use them missiles so it will be intresting to see if it been nerfed from 5m to whatever like 3m probs
What they could have done is left the turret skillbook the same and give out turret damage bonuses then for each racial turret like hybrids it gives like -5% to heat build up and prof could be -5% to cooldown time so the real changes would be with how the turret operates and also the damage increase would have to be with damage mods |

No, it's a slight nerf. Use the cycled one's they work better now, and missiles aren't an insta-kill. You and I and everyone here all knew they were overpowered as hell. And don't worry, they'll probably push back in the other direction later and balance it all out. |

True, might be re-balanced in the future. Re: Dropship being unarmed... it still has a weapon, just not an OP weapon now. Also, remember, the dropship is supposed to be a light ship, medium and heavy ships will likely have more guns when they are introduced in the future. |

Drop ships only had one option if they wanted to camp, or skirt around the edges of the map at high speeds and high altitudes

At last ... now there might be a bit of variety to what we get slaughtered by when vehicles deploy.
With any luck they'll now have a range aswell ... to stop the heaviest snipers in the game ... there's enough complaint on here about snipers doing nothing good ... well HAVs half the time are exactly the same hilltop snipers doing nothing good for their team.
Edited : dropships do still need some attention though ... they having a hard time fitting in balanced ... swarms should be able to hit them but not 1 shot at equal ish levels ... and they should have defensive capabilities without becoming gunships (that's what gunships will be for) |

Dropships were never meant to be flying death machines, those are the gunships and fighters.
Small turrets on dropships are for defensive purposes, not to 1 or even 2 shot. |

You are really afraid to play infantery ... Because it's the best way to kill infantry now, and this is how it's suppose to be ...
You want to play vehicules ? Well, you'll fight others vehicules... They now still have a tactic/strategic value, but they won't rox everything everytime anymore, AND THIS IS THE GOOD WAY, not an EASY MODE !!!
Well, good to see that CCP is opening their eyes !!! Maybe I'll come back a few on Codex to test thoos good hotfix !!

You will never see a Dropship doing what it's meant to do. You all curse them out but never look at what problems the Dropship will face. Dropship comes in to pick troops up, 1 shotted by a breach forge. 2/3 shotted by normal Forge Guns. IF the Dropship slows down to pick up troops or drop them off (precise drop offs, not flinging people into the distance) Swarms either kill it off (due to be chased by 4 volleys or more) or flips it instantly.
If the damage done by missile launchers has been nerfed (which I agree with completely) and they're bad at being offensive vehicles, the Dropship then needs a buff to it's Shields and Armor, otherwise nobody will use it unless they want to **** about with it. Also, the Dropship is a Medium Aircraft, not a light aircraft. It's described as a Heavy Vehicle too. So yeah, don't go all "BUT THE LORE SAYS IT'S MEAN TO " or "THE DROPSHIP IS A LIGHT VEHICLE" It's not. |

you forgot 1 big point. How are dropships pilots are now aible to gain any WP at all? You dont get points for picking people up or dropping them on a nice location. Nor do you get any WP for spawns from a mobile CRU. LAV's are kinda pointless aswell now cause they had the firepower from the small missile turrets to quickly attack and then bail if there is any kind off AV. This is not possible with small blasters cause they do like 21HP per shot. Compare that to a assault rifle and you can laugh your ass off. It takes a huge amount off time to kill any 1 with a small blaster turret and you need to stand still otherwise the gunner cant aim. That beeing sayd is that the gunner is totally exposed and can be picked off very easy during that time with any kind off weapon. Another thing is that small blaster have actually recoil that kick you off the target while assault rifles have 0 recoil. Small railguns are no option cause off the charge time and low amount off damage delivered to the target. In my opinion we need new turrets ASAP for the vehicles cause the only 1 that does a good amount off damage against infantry are large blaster turrets. And thats it. |

I cant wait till I can get on and still dominate from the sky. Im thinking this nerf is only going to matter for the pilots who circle the map. I mostly hover and the nerf only means it will take an extra shot or two for my gunners, which would only take an extra second or two.
I could be wrong because I havent tried it out yet but if it works out as i think then only skilled pilots will fly (and survive) while still getting a respectable amount of points. Sure there may be a 25% decrease in the amount of kills but that would still be enough to have a large presence on the battlefield.
Unfortunately I cant test my ideas till saturday |

how about we all play the game for the week before we make judgements on the change. I do think missiles need larger blast radius but they were too OP. Perhaps in the future they'll take another damage nerf but get blast radius buff. Either way I'm excited to see the new changes. |

Pilots circle due to:
A) ISK, SP, and player skill free starter swarm launchers and B) Forge guns
Swarms just got buffed, though I can't tell from the description exactly how. I suspect they now turn inside the ships radius. That could be both good and bad for pilots. Bad in that you can no longer fly over a set shot at you, nor can you outrun them by flying in a circle. Bad also in that the redzone prevents you from flying away in a straight line far enough to lose them. Good in that they would then slam into cover rather than fly around it.
Forge guns aren't going away, and they LOVE stationary targets.
The verdict will be in well before you get back on Saturday. |

So because this still isn't implemented the dropship should act as a gunship? Some logi's are still using the repair tool even though it doesn't give any SP for the time being.
