I just dont get it why make vehicles cheaper there already in every match i play? If this is ccps way of trying to get more people to play this weekend thats def not how u do it. There probably going to be less playing this week cause people dont like getting killed every time they spawn. An i aint worried bout HAVs or LAVs its the dropships that are annoying. Oh well i'm still going to try this week but i can already tell its going to suk since i've speced mainly into assault.

One of the greatest joys of taking down one of those dominating machines was knowing that it punched a hole in their wallet, which is probably usually bursting with cash, but that's not the point. |

I'm not good at Railguns, but it seemed pretty effective. just a few things you need to remember-
- Railguns need to charge, but are fully automatic after that point

Last but not least (this is for all turrets on LAVs), keep an eye on your health (it's the small health indicator next to the vehicle one) and pay attention to when you're getting shot at- just move to the passenger seat when you're worried about getting shot off the turret. Any experienced driver will get the hint that it's time to back off, then drive off to a remote corner to hide. From then on, hop out and they'll hopefully use their repair tool on you. If they don't know what you want, you'll need to hop back in ASAP before they drive off. Thanks. +1 even though it's mostly things I already knew. My problem isn't with understanding the mechanics behind the gun, it's more with just being bad at applying that knowledge. |

Nice move CCP. Some of the posters forget what we players are doing in the game, which is testing. This will give loads of data to the developers, and also give a chance for people to try out gear, and, for alot of people to have loads of fun. Personally, I'm happy as I'll be looking at plenty of extra targets It's going to be manic on the battlefield. I do expect though to have a few games of tanks all bunched up on the redline rocket spamming. Haha, roll on with the fun times. |

Now with tons of vehicles more people will NEED to get some AV fits or get some Veh vs Veh combat going. I'm thinking the event will be quite fun for the people speccing AV. |

I'm willing to bet there won't be any drastic increases in AV.
Maybe a few more Swarm Launchers, but that will be REALLY useful. |

Why only vehicles cheaper? What gets me is that most vehicle drivers already have stockpiles of cash, and the guys who keep dying and dying trying to take them down barely get by and have usually no more then a couple million isk. So in the end of this event, I see alot of people deciding to run around in av gear while getting owned by 3 tanks and 2 dropships losing the **** out of their isk.. and when the occasional vehicle drops, the pillot/driverwill be losing only half of what he was risking before.
*edit* just noticed that isk rewards will be increased.. but it says " up to" 3 times normal.. what decides the factor of it being 1.1 -3x the normal... are vehicle users getting the bigger increase while infantry are only getting smaller increases.. will vehicle killers get the bigger increase with vehicles having a smaller increase? I hope it isn't the vehicles getting the larger gain and infantry only getting 1.5x :\ |

Unfortunately 3 times 0 is still zero.
It has been determined you do not get extra risk for taking out vehicles just infantry.
Unless they fix this infantry do not get extra risk for taking out tanks and drop ships, however I do believe you get extra risk if you are in a tank and take out a drop ship or another tank, can not confirm this though.

Unless the half off sale includes vehicle modules it isn't much of a sale. My Myron fit is over 700k ISK and I would save only 100k ISK on the hull. Not a big increase in purchase power, and it's even less for an expensive tank build.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I hope the server is ready for all the vehicles. I find that my system freezes up in about one of a dozen matches when I'm flying and that leaves my gunners hanging in the air for a minute or so before I get booted and it falls pilotless from the sky. Today my teamate managed to grab the pilot seat before it crashed, but he too froze a minute later and I lost it. |

Hybrid turrets just need love, but very, very quickly surpass missile turrets in a variety of ways in max skill land, plus a rack of damage mods imo,
I am actually surprised people are still calling for buffs for the hybrid turrets, proto blaster plus max skills is a 75% bonus to damage, or 60 damage per shot, then throw on a couple of 20% damage mods and you are rocking to 100+ damage per shot on a small hybrid, large hybrids become monsters.
Small rails are instant hit, which makes them valuable for anti-vehicle warfare when used in multiples with damage stacks, you can raise them to over 1000 per shot, then have two of them on a tank and bat dropships out of the sky. Large rails are meh, missile is better in this case unless you reallllly need a precision shot.

Small rails don't have enough range to snipe with and missiles about match their DPS.
I think small blasters only deal 50% against vehicles, but I need to test that more. |
