That's EXACTLY the attitude that CCP doesn't want.
So many people just don't get it. This game needs LOTS of people buying things to make it commercially viable, if it isn't commercially viable it'll die. It's as simple as that.
If the basic mechanics are poor, no one will play it. People will do EXACTLY as you suggest - they'll go back to CoD and Dust will have about 2 or 3 thousand players playing half full games until it peters out and the plug is pulled.
Get real.
Strafe babies need to get real... Strafing wasn't made to dodge bullets. Also I see nearly NO difference in the strafing at all. These people complaining. They aren't the intelligent audience CCP is looking for in my absolute honest opinion. Yes I know they aren't JUST aiming towards intelligence... But at least SOME form of it is nice. Strafing is used in the military to come in and out of cover a little more quickly than turning and walking forwards. I understand this isn't the military. But look at all those pro gamers doing exactly the same thing.
I don't think CCP wants a bunch of three year old children complaining about something such as a minuscule reduce on strafe speed. YOU. Get real. At least I understand the real reason behind features. Can't handle strafing? You aren't as good as you think. I can handle it just fine. Learn how to play or GET OUT
If you think CCP doesn't want big numbers and huge profit from this game then there's absolutely no point debating with you.
I don't care about the strafe speed, I haven't even played this build yet. I'm talking about how the general FPS player perceives issues like this and how it can affect the rep of a game. Everything about Dust is just not up to scratch right now at a time when they are planning to open up the game to more and more people.
It's not about what I want from the game, it's about what's made FPS games the massive cultural phenomenon that they have become. What are they biggest online shooters? Why are they the most popular? Where did the other games go wrong in comparison?
I can assure you, it's all down to the core mechanics and how the game feels to play. Simple as that.
