I've worked in retail for years prior to my current profession, and am a consumer daily. I have never seen a store honor what you are suggesting when it is a special promotion. Note the word "special". This is a give away for purchases made during a certain window. You are not entitled to this unless you make a purchase in that period of time.

okay, so if we buy it, we qualify to receive them. however, can others who dont buy the merc pack still redeem these during the promotional period? if i play during the promotional period, am i redeeming them or receiving them anyway? i hope so. i want one. how do they put a monetary value on a digital dropsuit anyway? $6 for a single suit? lol no way

Those same things still have value. The extra 40,000 AUR is worth the same to you as the first 40,000 AUR. The 30-day skill booster is still worth $15, just like the other 30-day skill booster you have. Even discounting the items and dropsuits, the AUR and booster alone make the merc packs a bargain and are worthwhile purchases if you see yourself playing Dust for a while. The fact that there are extra dropsuits added is just a nice bonus on top.

No, Tadec just doesn't let issues which are important to him drop. Same as me, but we have different issues. Tbh I'm really happy I didn't buy a merc pack. I might pick one up now, but... What's the NEXT merc pack gonna have? BPO forgegun? BPO Dropship? But I guess it's how CCP are doing things.

IMHO, only buy what you need to survive. Which so far is Thukkers and a UVT.

CCP Instead of ripping ppl off you should worry about your gameplay

CCP is fleecing customers to pay for another full mercpack just to get a couple items, items which confer a HUGE advantage (BPO standard suits), whereas everyone else will have to pay for BPC suits each time they die.

What would have been a more appropriate special item would be a memorial dropsuit for Vile Rat and give the profits from said merc pack to his family.

and i'll agree to this as well. i want my smooth gameplay back. even if it means taking back some of the pretty graphics we got with Precursor.

The MAG dropsuits will come up for ISK I'm fairly sure. Maybe not in beta, but once we go live. But really, once you have a good Dropsuit, how much use will you get from these suits? Still be fun for all the MAG clans for form something like RvB. And you MUST wear your factions BPO at all times :p

I think you all should just get used to it. If CCP is smart they will keep releasing different limited edition packs of stuff as long as the game exists. There's nothing wrong with this sort of thing and makes perfect sense from just about any angle you look at it (aside from the "entitled gamer" angle). They will just keep releasing differently themed stuff, and when something you want shows up, you'll be enticed to spend your IRL money on it.

If you really want one of the extra dropsuits, either buy the new merc pack, or wait until the player market is implemented and buy it with ISK. But don't whine that you bought something else and now you wish you bought this instead, that's on YOU, not CCP.

But I didnt buy something else, its the same merc pack. Reread what I've posted. I said it would be ok to release these as separate suits with items specific to their class as a NEW merc pack.

If I sold you a ps3 system one day, and the next day offered the same exact thing, same price, but with 2 free games, would you not try to ge the 2 free games? The bend over and take it attitude does nothing to help gamers who get screwed over.

How? I got exactly what they were selling me. They are now offering a new product. I know this might be hard to understand, but you do not deserve anything more just because you want it.

Any of us who bought the merc pack when it game out have gotten it twice now. And will get it a third and likely fourth time....

I wonder if people would react differently if they didn't call it the "merc pack"? If they'd said "Here's the soldier pack, it contains the merc pack and three BPO dropsuits, and it costs $20" no one would have batted an eye.

Well that depends. Some of use dont want the same items 3x or 4x, we want NEW merc packs with NEW items. Not the same things with a bonus for getting it within a certain time frame. Just sounds like a push to move as much virtual volume as possible.

I will say it again: If the logi suit was available with some logi specific items and an assualt rifle, I would buy it, hands down no problem. However, I am being forced to buy something I already have to get these.

They can call it whatever they want, but its the same exact thing.
