It would do wonders for your image if you'd drop the members that do nothing but roll tanks, and more recently just sit around whining about them. I don't think people hate STB, so much as they hate seeing them in tanks nonstop.

As much as I am learning more about, and gaining respect for, good fps players we have to look ahead.

You probably already realize that DUST is a whole new beast. And it's not something EVE Players understand or something that MAG Players get... no one understands how DUST works because we're not done baking it yet.

But, since STB will no doubt form a corporation; and since corporations are known for successfully making image changes to improve business outcomes; i'd say you're in the right game.

I don't have a step by step plan to suggest but you might consider how you will market, recruit and 'sell' the STB brand when the whole of New Eden will be competing against you.

In that regard, I might suggest openly defining your corporate goals to the DUST (and then EVE) community. Will STB be a 'Guns for Hire', Faction Warfare Aligned, Training Consultants or what kind of business will you be in?

Just an idea for a direction to look for answers

It looks bad when you aimlessly bump your thread. When one person writes 5 posts in a row, it looks like you're just wh0rinng for attention. I think this is where all the hate comes from. Boasting about how many threads are made because of STB doesn't look too good either. With the way this EvE world sounds like, you can't be over confident or over weak. You seem to be taking the over confident side. The STB thread should have stopped 50 pages ago. Rest assured that we are all aware of your presence. Cool bunch of people if you get to know them though.

I want to curb it.

I am not a dictator, a piece of watever or anything more than a diehard gamer an low end game programer

I love dust i love STB an i love MAG

I hold the most public page of STb an want feedback here to help curb the negative image we hold

STB is a large fun group that try to win at any cost, if you hate on that then we can never b friends but if you read this an know i am bieng sincere i hope to meet with Corp leaders an discuss a bright futuer in Dust were STb isnt the target of annomsity an MAG rascisim


Dev's i understand if you lock this thread, but as one of the larger Dust corps an ur piggy banks i implore you to leave it here in generla discussion until somone breaks your rules. an hence its a general discussion forum i have not broken any yet an this thread is for helping STB move foprward in your baby an awsome world in NEw eden

I got no problem with STB whatsoever. Bunch of dudes who know how to win through team work is what I see. Usually its the lone wolf f***ing rambos who have a problem with STB.

My one issue with STB EV Gravity and Hive mind as a whole is there assumption that there the best, when clearly there average player base is blow par. You guys take in anybody good or bad, and expect people to believe your a top clan.

Make some good KDR requirements and maybe iLL consider it.

Why would you want to curb an established reputation as a merc corp? Who gives a rats hind end if people hate? Most that do can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag, and if so long as you win within the confines of the game mechanics an EULA, screw 'em.

I am a normal guy that knows my limits in MAG a bad PR held us back i dont want that roadblock here its a new game a new face a new time

I've fought you guys many times during the course of this beta and many times I've had my a$$ handed to me on a plate......very fairly and tastefully, good team work and good tactics from what I've seen of you guys so far.

In this game numbers are more important than they are in other fps games
so typically corps will have a range of skill levels, you just have to build those skills up in some of your "scrubbier" players

ya they are but u see others take the easy route and just open the floodgates and inv anyone with a pulse and thumbs to join.
whereas ive always looked at players potential, some may not be as good as others but i look into their potential to improve and those are the players i tend to recruit along with the great ones. I wont sacrifice the standards and beliefs of my clan just to become another zerg army with 490 scrubs who can barely put down randoms with only like 10 good players.

Ill gladly take the harder route and search for those talented and rough diamonds to bring into my ranks and train them
and no this isnt "elitisim" u will never hear us say that or call ourselves "elite" because we believe callin urself elite starts to make u think ur unbeatable and starts makin u lazy, we are a hardworking fun loving highly competitive group

lookout for us when corps are finally put in :)
