Before I say anything else, I will just state: I have waited until now to post this because I was making sure I wasn't just getting extremely bad luck, etc. but I am now 100% sure this is a problem. EVERY Ambush game I play, I will spawn next to an enemy. If the game somehow fails to do that, it just spawns me the farthest possible place from my team-mates, with a massive group of enemies between me and them. During the game, people repeatedly spawn in thin air next to me, and I get my ass kicked by them.
We need a system where everyone on one team will spawn in some sort of base-camp point at the beginning of each game, and after the first kill, spawning will be set to the system we currently have. |

I find that hard to do when I get spawned in the middle of a shoot out. |

i hate the current random spawns in ambush, i came in a match to test out a new suit concept and spawn near the enemy. it was my only suit so i didnt get to see how the different suit loadout would work. |

I guess none of you were around when each point on a skirmish only had one place where troops would appear, people would plant remote explosives and kill you as you spawn, I wouldn't oppose a more random spawn pattern on ambushes, but really you've got it easy compared to the past, and besides if you can't hit the ground running, perhaps you should be playing Civ or something. |

Having spawned literally in a hail of bullets and dying in 1 second flat, I can inform you that your notion of "hit the ground running" is equally useless and ********. |

Why not have each team spawn in a certain area each match, perhaps in a CRU, and its in the redzone for the enemy team. Then have a large middle area between the two sides thats a free for all. Possibly a single CRU up for capture in the middle? |

The problem actually is that which ever team bunches together first prety much wins; they roam round in a group focusing on which ever blip appears on the radar first, so its effectively 1 vs a team in each gun fight.
Drop uplink units can help focus spawns in one place, but unless that area is secure enough for everyone to have a life/death cycle and respawn in, its going to be immediately overrun, making spawning there suicide.
COD's system of keeping the spawns random, but within a zone, then moving that zone around the map depending on which area has the greatest concentration of enemies (ie away from them), seems to work reasonably well for me - but it works on the basis that the maps are big enough that the enemy team can't get from where they are to the new spawn zone within a life/death cycle, allowing the team thats under the kosh a moment to regroup. The speed at which vehicles can traverse EVE maps causes issues with this system. |

I'm also getting frustrated with the default spawn spots. It's double frustrating knowing that I wasted "money" on that suit, weapons etc. I didn't die due to my actions or lack of actions. It was the games fault, it was a spawn death. At least let me live a for 30 to 60 seconds after spawning by default. This, at the least, gives me a fighting chance to get out harms way. |

At the very least, even if they fix the spawning, we should probably get some kind of spawn invincibility (1-2 seconds or so) when we spawn somewhere "random" and not by choice. Because so many times I have spawned, and before I can even come to grips with where I am in the match, I get killed. Spawn invincibility would at least give me the opportunity to take aim and fight back. Also the screen slowly fading in makes matters worse when you spawn near enemies.
Now I wouldn't want this for spawns a team-member places, or for spawning on objectives. I would only like to see this for when we have no choice where to spawn, and are forced to use the "default" randomized spawn location. |

I play logic most of the time, my main goal in ambush is to secure a spawn location. This does not mean drop a uplink and run away. Your job is to secure the location and try and hold it so your team has a place to spawn. One main problem that occurs is that no one spawns there. If you want the logic to stay there and make sure the uplink is a secure drop zone, you have to spawn so they can get points for team spawns. If you spawn random, the logic will not get any points for this. If you are in a squad you will get double the SP if you put a defend on the logic and make the drop zone even that more secure.
People forget that this game is about team play. |

I said it before and I'll say it again.
They should adopt the same spawn system that Section 8 had. It eliminated spawn camping, gave teams a reason to fortify objectives and was just plain awesome. |

Since I'm new to PVP FPS games (I've mostly played Borderlands), can you tell me (us, assuming there's more noobs reading) what sort of spawn system Section 8 used? |

In Section 8 you chose where you wanted to spawn from the air and were shot down to the planet via a pod. You could control the pod in mid air and pretty much chose anywhere on the map. Enemy teams could fortify objectives by building anti air cannons around them. These would show up as a red zone you couldn't drop into.
It was a fantastic system. It encouraged team work, base building and completely eliminated camping.
You could land on a camper and instant kill him too. That was always fun.

Agreed, especially since i actually bought in game cash, now when i get the ****** spawn streaks, say in the middle of 3 enemy mercs and die before i even have movement control, yea its enough to **** you off to never purchase anything with real cash since you don't have a fighting chance and are loosing "real" money. now if this was a pay to play it would still suck but I believe we would be more accepting of it since there is no "real" loss, but as it is F2P and real cash is or can be involved, it is totally unacceptable, enough to almost imply to have been implemented purposefully.\
Besides that, ok were clones I get that, we loose out old equipment, and have to restock, totally understandable and goes with the preexisting system, what doesn't make sense is how are we getting were we are in Ambush? ok i understand the cloning centers on obj maps, but ambush??? are we dropped in? are we coming from a pod?, what? and in anycase dont you think that there would be a little intelligence involved in our redeployment?, not just "ok guys our strategy today... random pop ins..." i want to find who the fuk is operating the teleporter and throttle them. |

This problem is 100% the player's fault. This is why drop uplinks are so critical in Ambush especially.
If there is not an uplink in play, I'll always spawn with one, put it down somewhere decent and if it goes away, put another one down.
This will solve 90% of the problems with Ambush spawning. The problem is almost nobody does this. I'm almost always the only one putting down uplinks. |

If you're playing Ambush and no one in your squad has dropped an uplink, then you need to load up a loadout with an uplink and drop it yourself. Any time a team isn't dropping uplinks, protecting their spawns, and are choosing instead to default spawn, they deserve to lose. |

This is exactly how I feel. It just sucks I play snipers so when I drop uplinks I have to stay still and attract spawning enemy attention all around me. Almost no one uses the uplinks and consistently we suffer as a result of poor coordination/teamwork. |

Ambush maps, always spawn with uplinks first, put a few down. Then if you can change/want to class, go for it. I usually get ~ 400wp purely from people spawning on ambushes. Combine this with a good squad and commands and it's an easy 200k + SP for your first few games. |

This simply circumvents the problem, not fix it. Obviously the code for spawning is horribly flawed, as I'm sure CCP doesn't expect every single person to use up a valuable slot for a droplink in order to not spawn right in front of an enemy.
To claim this is 100% player fault is ridiculous. There is absolutely no way spawning was intentionally meant to be like this, and it CERTAINLY isn't the players fault. |

There are militia uplinks. Everyone should absolutely have at least one suit with uplinks. Everyone on the team doesn't need an uplink on their loadout every spawn, but SOMEONE in your squad needs to spawn with one if there's not one deployed Once it's placed, the job is done and they can spawn without one next death.
The default spawn is what happens when your team has failed. |

Team play is strongly encouraged. Someone has to fit a droplink, and the team needs to defend the spawn site. Neither happens often, and both almost never happen at the same time. This isn't a problem with gameplay, it's a problem with teamwork. |

A way to improve teamwork is to raise the xp gain from actions like placing a drop uplink, a spawn could give 45xp instead of only 25xp, that is key to improve the teamwork, more points! |
