i believe this issue is well known by DEVs. but in any case i loved the fact a few times an enemy spawned right in my crosshairs for me to open fire on. or it spawns me right in front of tank fire for me to get blasted.
sure love that stuff |

having lots of instances tonight of spawning in the middle of enemy players, or being killed before the screen is loaded.
A possibly related problem is being added to matches shortly before they end.
these are the most annoying problems in dust at the moment in my opinion. |

A little hard to when you spawn right in front of 3 enemy players with your back to them, or in front of a tank you drop very quickly. |

Yeah, the 360 thing doesn't work, but rarely. You generally can't turn around fast enough to even see your killer(s) let alone pull a gun on 'em. I find this to be the single most frustrating aspect of the game at this point. I hope they do something about this sooner rather than later. |

At the beginning of an ambush game I try to run out into the open area's and call in my viper w/ spawn DS. I can usually last the entire match as a mobile spawn and turret platform. I can also drop clones off on top of stuff, where they can call in their LAV's and rain lead too. I don't make great SP/ISK and my KDR is 0/0, but I'm helping my team a ton. Hopefully the rewards for my actions will change next build. |

-In Ambush, players should spawn randomly in a location where there is 1 or more teammates present, and where there are also no enemies in close proximity. Currently you can spawn right in front of an enemy, and its annoying.
-It would be better if all spawns not from a CRU or drop uplink involved being launched down from from up high (or the MCC in Skirmish games), and activating the inertial dampener; it would be far more exciting, and would make more sense then magically appearing on the battlefield. |

If there is not an uplink in play, I'll always spawn with one, put it down somewhere decent and if it goes away, put another one down.
This will solve 90% of the problems with Ambush spawning. The problem is almost nobody does this. I'm almost always the only one putting down uplinks.
You shouldn't have to do this just so spawning isn't terrible. Default spawn should actually be a fully working viable option, and not a death trap. |

I fundamentally disagree. Default spawn should be absolute last resort. If 16 guys can't work together enough to get even 1 or 2 uplinks on the map, your team deserves to spawn completely randomly IMO. It's a great way to reward basic squad play. |

Drop uplinks are hard to deploy when you are dead before your screen focuses.
I think there should be two defined sides tbh like in Skirmish with capturable CRUs. |

No mate your wrong drop uplinks should be used for tactics not as a valid reason to not get killed the minute you spawn, you never seen uplinks being camped?
CCP have stated it's in need of a fix and , you should not spawn within a certain distance of an enemy simple as that never mind in the middle of 2or 3 of them. |

I also think that the spawning needs to be looked at. Its particularly frustrating for anyone to be spawned right in front of an enemy and killed without any fighting chance. I think it could stay random but perhaps it could spawn you in a bit more of a favorable position say 'x' meters away from any enemies or within 'x' meters of a random ally. It could even spawn you within 'x' meters of a friendly building like a turret.
Another solution which does work when used right is the drop uplink. I like the tactical element that drop uplinks bring to a match and when used properly they can turn the tide of a battle however I feel that they also might need to be looked at. Its happened a few times where the enemy team is simply camping the drop uplink instead of destroying it, waiting for anyone unfortunate enough to spawn right in their crossairs. Not sure if anything can be done to prevent this besides the obvious point of not choosing the uplink as your next spawn point. One thing I can think of is perhaps making the uplink more of a deployable auto-turret that targets any nearby enemies but does very little damage. That way it helps to keep its spawn point secure and encourages enemies to destroy it instead of camping it. |

they need to work on the random spawning as it is completely is bogus and needs fixed badly . thats why at least i try and throw out a spawn(uplink) once i get near my team mates in ambush modes so everyone will use it . but seeing how people on your team seems to think its all about the points you get i don't think that way i think of myself and team first i don't care about some little bit of WP/SP points off it all i care about is that i don't spawn right up behind enemy lines or next to a nest of them . and try and find safe spot for me and team mates to spawn if they need it but somehow others prefer to spawn randomly all over the place and into enemy lines without using the uplinks dropped for them or prefer to drop right into a tank/dropship/LAV that is about to blow up or on verge of it rather than spawning at a uplink near team mates apparantly im the only smartone who will use my own uplink . same thing goes with the resupply units dropped others on team don't want to use them and not help themselves with ammo/nades and prevent you from getting points again i don't care about the points i drop those as well to help myself with ammo/nades as well as teams this is a team based game as you should think of them and yourself before points and what not . and don't get me started on ppl with logistics guys who have repair kits and revive kits who don't know how to use them or wont use them that often . but the sayings goes live and learn and ignorance is bliss i guess the ppl who don't use them are either one or both of those . at least thats imo about it anyways |

1. Obly your squad can use your uplink. 2. Uplinks are easily camped. 3. Random spawning is terrible lore wise and doesn't lend to a sense of battle. As I said above, it woud be better if there were two defined sides with two default spawns each, protected by the redline for the opposing team, with a capturable CRU in the middle.
Spawning out of thin air is bad aesthetically and gameplaywise. It just annoys me a lot. I wish there were more definite spawn buildings like in MAG that prevent spawn killing, are harder to spawn camp since there are gunports in the wall, and protect those inside spawning. As well as groups everyone up from the outset instead of randomly spawning people in a jumble mixed wih enemies.
Sorry, I hate to bring MAG too much into this, but the spawning in MAG had a pretty good basic system, where at least you had a chance to spawn and push out. |

My 'favorite' random spawn so far has to be either 1) getting shot to death before my screen loaded from overview to main HUD 2) getting clipped by a LAV as I was spawning in (and when that didn't kill me getting shot by the AR and Shotgun guys that were at the two paths out of the corner into which I was spawned
I'm ok with random, but maybe just a bit of a tweak to avoid instia kill spawns. And random or not you shouldn't be able to be shot to death before your UI even updates to allow you to see what's happening or try to move.
